Mine wiggles just a little bit but nothing I am worried about.

Mine was EMS and I did not pay any duty. Exact price of the toy was on the bill of lading as well. Couple of pics.....

Daaaamn thats nice! I totally want one now. I'm pretty good at modeling but I HATE painting...... I really hope Yamato releases this as a toy someday.

Finally picked mine up today. It arrived Friday but I missed it at home and it was not yet at the post office when I went there with my slip. . Anyway I love this toy and the Sprue pieces where actually pretty easy to assemble. Had to use some plastic cement on some to keep them in but they where not hard to put in at all and only took about 1 hour. Note mine did arrive with a defect. The piece on the left arm that attaches to the ARMD (magnet piece). Everything was fine until I swiveled the arm on the attachment piece and it popped off at the joint! Thank Jebus that there is a screw right in the elbow that lets you easily take the forearm apart. Reassembled it back in and notice that when twisting the piece it was forcing the seems apart, which allowed it to pop out. Screw was tight so I figured it most have something to do with how it is seated in the joint. Played with it a bit more and managed to find the correct seating position so that it does not do this again.....whew^_^.....well it's right as rain for now.... ....... Like I said I love this toy but feel a bit underwhelmed by it at the same time. Everything about it is great but for the over $300 dollar price tag I just wish it did......well more. Super easy to transform once you have done it once and it appears to be pretty sturdy. Maybe a sound effects stand or something and some lighting like you see on the new battleship Yamato releases.

I sure hope not as that just screams "move this part here........snap........ahhhh s*&t!" to me. Just noticed the 3 antenna/lasers on the head. Really want to see batroid pics now.

Exactly! Why not just give us the YF/VF-24 and call it something like the VF-29 Foxbat. (Like they did it with the VF-22 Sturmvogel) Change the gun, wings and fix the VF-25 problems. But lets face it.....this is Macross World, we'll still bitch about it.

While I don't mind the design I would rather have the DX VF-171/171EX as well.

Really?!?!!? *%$#%%! I avoid our Walmart like the plague and K-mart closed down here shortly after they opened. I don't even know if any retailer carries it in stock or has it on sale in Saskatchewan...... Anyway.....sort of back on topic! International item has left the origin country and is en route to Canada.......which means I'll have it by sometime end of next week......I am more excited about this than I was Christmas this year.

And I was going to buy an AT-AT after seeing this video review from CollectionDX. Oh well if I bought that and all the extra action figures I would need for it, it would probably come out to around the $395Can. I just spent on the SDF1 anyway. Damn! Same here. It's nice that where you live in Urban Ontario or Rural Saskatchewan the price is the same for shipping to Canada....... Now lets see $200 Christmas bonus covers half of this (edit: no wait it doesn't, Caesar takes 35%)......now where to get the rest...........ramen for a month again and no book purchases for the next couple months........man January going to suck until this toy shows up......now to make the Christmas leftovers that my Mom sent home with me stretch out a few more days.

hey might. If you look at the picture there appear to be gaps around the spikes. Also the manual shows the spikes extended in all the pics as well. Graham is this a "feature"? -- NEVERMIND. In the time I took to post this Graham said it was....

Ok now that I have seen the paint I kinda like it. Is that pink or just a light red (please let it not be pink!)? Valkyrie without a black/grey gun pod though......oh well white is not as bad as purple! Hopefully it folds open like the VF-25 to reveal some nice black inner details.

Yeah I know. I think the YF-29 looks more like him in the "junk/trunk" though.

DAMN! I just bought the Double Nuts, the YF-19 Fold Booster and some Maxpedition Gear so I am tapped for a while............ $130-150 is still too much though.

Is any vendor selling these online yet? It looks so awesome I am tempted to pay the price premium.

I don't "hate" Robotech either but like Darkwind said I think allot of people here are turned off by what Harmony Gold has done in the past. I do have to admit that once I learned that Robotech was 3 different animes bastardized into one cartoon it did kind of ruin it for me. I still like Robotech (that opening orchestral theme is still epic for me) from a nostalga point of view but once I watched the original Macross and Macross Plus I was converted to the house that Kawamori built. Nevermind that I never did understand HG's whole protoculture thing. I'll take Yak Deculture! any day, at least the J-Pop's catchy.

Shipping cost me like $30 bucks to Canada. So I didn't think it was too bad. Better than the $40 EMS shipping Hobbby Search was going to charge me for the Fold booster (thank Jebus they sent that one SAL).

Nothing like having to "learn" a Robotech fan about Macross! I keep most of my valks with me at work. Nothing re-leaves the stress/boredom like transforming a Macross toy. Supervisor sites 2 cublicle down from me so I have to be careful somedays while I "admire" my collection.
