  1. I wouldn't mind so much if most websites list the item as out of stock if you didn't pre order or get it 2 weeks after it came out....... It's nice to know that during these tough economic times I am helping to prop up the Japanese economy buy going on a Macross spending spree this year.
  2. Try Overdrive. FYI they are also having a older VF-1 1/60 v.2s and Destroid sale on right now. Buy some superpacks for your D or a J to go with it! http://www.over-drive-inc.com/store/produc...roducts_id=1131
  3. Sucks you have that problem. My YF-21 gun pods stay on fine even with those "blast I think I am going to break something" super packs. As to the glue problems I totally see that with my YF-19. Just yesterday I had a knee cap pop off and the bicep on one of the arms is split at the seems (it's still attached and working at least).......oh well out comes the modeling glue. I totally had misgivings about my YF-21 (because of the price) until I got it. Now it is my favorite valk. The fighter mode looks so cool, like a Northrop yf-23 it was based on. If it wasn't I don't care cause when I first saw Macross plus the YF-22 totally screamed YF-23 to me. I don't know why I always like the losers of the American fighter programs but I do. X-32 looks cool to me too. That said it's still going to be painful forking over the cash for a VF-22 after buying a VF-11B. And here thought I was just going to limit myself to a few of the relatively cheap VF-1s this year after my buying spree of the past few months. I think the VT-1 and VF-22 are going to make me commit financial suicide again this year while still have a big grin on my face. And here I thought I could go and enjoy protein again......damn you Spring and letting it be warm enough to barbecue!!!!
  4. The good news is that I preordered mine from overdrive last month so I don't have to worry about having enough cash in the account at the end of the month. The bad news is that I've paid for it already and I still don't have it ......damn. Oh well now to figure out how to save enough for the 6 Yamato stands I ordered and how to pay for a VT-1 and a VF-22 in June/July.........oh god I think I need to stop for awhile.
  5. Or maybe Bandai sat on the license so long they lost the eclusivity on some of the mecha? Frankly I doubt we will ever know but at least we are getting one of the coolest valks from Macross 7. Sound force 1/60 might be nice but I was never a fan of them. The other valks you mentioned would be great but I'll take what we can get right now. Oh and not being able to put the gunpods in the belly pods sucks but hopefully there will be some other cool gimmick with the toy. Otherwise considering there will be no super packs and stand the price is going to be a bit steep isn't it?
  6. No I just thought it was a good deal. Especially with some of those here who thought that the VF-1s and Destroids where too expensive. I'm from Canada eh.
  7. Yes. One is greenish and the other leans towards blue. I can't remember which is which right now.
  8. They ship from Japan. What sucks about them is that they will only ship EMS so make sure to make multiple orders at once. Oh and they charge you the second you make a preorder to. Otherwise I have never had a problem with them.
  9. Hey Overdrive has the Destroids on sale for $73.99US: Macross - 1/60 MBR-04-Mk VI Destroid Tomahawk http://www.over-drive-inc.com/store/produc...products_id=531 Macross - 1/60 MBR-04-Mk X Destroid Defender http://www.over-drive-inc.com/store/produc...products_id=930

  11. Kind of sucks that for that price the VF-22 is not coming with a stand. At least the VF-11 came with super packs.........Oh well I'll try to find the money somewhere once Hobbylink or Hobbysearch hopefully brings them up for preorder.
  12. You know if it's just the screw heads poping off I wonder if they are over tightening the screws sometimes in the factory. If they grade of the screw is low enough that is probably what is happening. The simple fix would probably be to use a higher grade screw but I know this has probably been mentioned here before. Now if I could just find somewhere selling the VF-25 and a VF-22 at the same time I know what I am going to buy for my birthday.....
  13. EDIT: NEVER MIND I SEE THAT IT HAS BEEN TALKED ABOUT ALREADY. Got too excited when I saw this in my email this morning to even bother checking the posts. I know I suck. I don't know if this was posted yet but Overdrive posted a link to Yamato's website saying the VF-22 is coming out in June. There are new pics as well. http://www.yamato-toys.com/items/detail.php?gid=1351 Here is a couple of screen shots to wet your appetite. 14. Yeah guys where talking Yamato here though. If they gave us all that it would probably cost $200-$250 plus.

    yamato's next move

Yes the VF-0D! Finally! A VF-4 would be awesome too. Well looks like getting VF-25s dropped down on the priority list again.....DAMN YOU YAMATO! I was just saying to myself I have to slow down and your just making my addiction harder to break. I mean all I purchased last year was: VF-1S Defender Tomohawk YF-19 It looks like pocket change to my plans for this year...... Already purchased this year: VF-1J VF-1D Q-Rau YF-21 Must buy this year: VF-11B - already paid for from Overdrive. 6 of the new Yamato stands - preordered from Hobby link - the blue ones that come out in July. VT-1 Phalanx VE-1 If any of these get released before Christmas I think I'm screwed! VF-22 VF-0D VF-4 (1/100 and 1/60) Poor VF-25s shunt to the back of the bus AGAIN! Maybe I'll sneak 1 in somewhere....have to use that birthday money for something!
  16. Yeah if the numbers aren't really there someone at Yamato would have to have a "big pair" to take the risk. It's sad that we probably won't see a Spartan but at least we will have the other 3. Now I just have to figure out how to get the scratch together to afford all this stuff coming out this summer! Argh! Why does summer always = death to me and my credit card!
  17. Now that's a Yf-19 repaint I could get behind. That looks awesome, it's just to bad it they haven't gone through with it......yet at least. Damn where am I going to find the money for this stuff!
  18. I don't think this supports MKVs right out the box correct? It needs a firmware update? Also you need an external hard drive for it....I would prefer not to have to move hardrives around all the time coping media if I could. I built a home network for a reason. Yes it's because I'm lazy. I was looking at this: http://www.verismonetworks.com/index.php?p...t&Itemid=22 news item about it from Attack of the Show http://g4tv.com/attackoftheshow/attackthis...y-New-Tech.html But they don't sell it outside of the States as far as I can tell so I can't get one. I think I am going to have to break down and make a hometheater pc..... Note I was looking at Tversity so that I could stream to my xbox or ps3 but it messes with codexs and screws them up if you don't install it right so I have been avoiding it.
  19. Well if they changed it to green that would suck. Although in the mecha manual it looks alright. I hated that color in the show. If I had to chose I would go with a VF-22 over the YF-21. I like that canopy more and the grey color. Oh and lets hope that they include a cover we can clip over the canopy (or a replacement armored canopy). I don't need Perfect Transformation for that. Just a clip on that I can use if I want to.
  20. Thought I would point out a comparison pic of the YF-21 to the VF-22.... Dear God please let them have put decals with white lettering instead of black with this one. I put a few of them on my YF-21 and you couldn't even tell they where there. I wonder how the stealthed gun port hatches work? I hope it is not a clip on, to replace the guns, like anime52k8 posted. That would be weak sauce. If they clipped over the pods that would be fine though.
  21. From the Battroid pic it definitely looks like the VF-22 has the stealthed belly plates for the gun pods which is awesome! As to the spindly legs that lechuck mentioned... I am not a big fan either but I think fighter mode would just wouldn't have worked so beautifully if they hadn't. What I really don't like about the legs is that they just don't have the strength in the joint ratchets to make it as poseable as it should be. I'm still buying one as soon as Overdrive of Hobbylink offers a VF-22 for sale though. I didn't know how much I would love a YF-21 till I held one in my hands. It is currently my favorite Macross toy.
  22. Yeah unless they offer a YF-19 variant like the VF-22 is, the YF-19's really are a pass. I like they new paint jobs....just not enough that I would buy another YF-19 at that price tag. The VF-22 offers enough variant from my YF-22 to make me want to get one even with the steep price.

    yamato's next move

With VF-1 E,D,Ts , VF-11B and now a VF-22 I think Yamato is determined to never allow me to save up enough money to buy a VF-25 DX...........
  24. OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG! Must have a VF-22! Could really care less about the 19s but I would defiantly shell out the bucks for a VF-22. Anyone seen them for sale anywhere else yet?

    yamato's next move

Plus's done in DYRL paint schemes would be cool. It's not cannon so there can't be any licensing issues. Oh and enemy mecha that are poseable like the destroids.
