OMG! dude you could get a netbook with better specs. I say it's time to break down and spend $300-$900 on a laptop (or a netbook if you can deal with a 9" screen....which would probably still be better than your ancient Compaq). I am sure your Macross habit will understand. I just might speak to you for a while. That or take your credit card/paypal and go on a glorious spending spree as "revenge". ......Ahem.... Back on topic. I am really diggin how my VT-1 looks in Gerwalk with the arms stowed away.

Yeah some nice Oak, Mahogany or Teak would add a nice old school look to the display stand. What type of wood did you use there anyway? Maybe even add some cooper or brass features/hardware to give it a bit of a steam punk look. Either way nice DIY! I look forward to seeing your finished product.

Ouch! You have my sympathies sir!

......well like everyone else except 1/60 Zentradi figure.....Cannon fodder soldier would be fine. ...... Extra Gunpods with straps.... or just straps but I wouldn't mind owning a couple of extra gunpods. Missile/bombs assortment (regular and box missiles could be excluded as I think we all have enough of those) Ground crew with vehicles Pilot chairs Zentradi uniform for all the VF-1A Max fans out there...! OH Just thought of another one. New Sticker sheets/tranfers. Love to see some Minmay guard stuff or have the chance to buy better stickers for my Valks.

I wounder why the VF-19 is getting so few votes????? Does everyone just expect another floppy mess? Also I like the VF-2S design but I still find it a bit shocking that so many voted for that over a VF-0D and a VF-4. I guess Macross 2 was allot more popular than I thought.

Ah! I have a similar problem except in reverse. You can't even see the tint on my VF-1D. Looks like that coating gets F***ed up sometimes. Oh well your repaint is still cool. -

Niiiice! Question though. Did you "fog" to your canopy? Seems allot duller than the canopy on my VF-1J Hik. -
Oh! ...........where?.......and is it still for sale?

Yeah they are the cheap Yamato stands. I had to retrofite them by tightening up one of the joints with plastic cement and they work great now. If you looking for good stands the flex stands sold at Lost and Found Toys are the shiz nit (if you didn't know). Little finicky but they are totally awesome. http://www.laftoys.com/index.php?cPath=15&...789af1e3ea8b1a3 By a three pack with the 3 differant sizes so you can mix and match the legs from the other stands to setup some great posses.

"bunny from hell"........ want one! The club is a bit ridiculous though even if it is amine accurate. If the hands are posable it's no bit deal as you can remove to a storage bin never to see the light of day again. captain america is that a resin kit?

HeHe.....quote "You know you live in Yorkton when the only way you can tell your not living in a small town is the Walmart, the 7/11 and the Casnio. All open after 8pm......" FYI we have a brand new Casnio now. Never been in it as Macross toys now completely occupy that "throwing your money away" slot in my budget.

That picture dosen't do it justice. I have a pewter figure of it from my BattleTech days and it's still one of my favorite Mechs/destroid. That and the Flip up Cannon and missle doors are just awesone. FYI the Tomohawk dosen't look that good either until you open up the missle doors. Case in point:

VT-1 in Gerwalk mode looks pretty sweet to (it's on the middle shelf to the left):

Dust!?!?!!?! If the stuff in your collection sits long enough to collect significant amounts of it, you obviously aren't enjoying your collection enough! That or you have a significant other that cares about those things. -
Jess I didn't think the images where that much of a problem. They should only be like 4MP-5MP (don't quote me on that). I use a 15" laptop and I have no problem viewing the images as my web browser shinks them down after the page loads. Download might be a little slow but unless your using dial up it shouldn't take more than 1min per page. And for those of you using dial up I'm.. ...well.... .....56k??????..... ...really in this day and age?... ...TS! Oh and OmegaD3k nice comparison pics. Cyclone Trooper.....unless you bought from Overdrive and they have already raped your credit card. Oh well when the Virgin Road and VE-1 show up at least they will have already been paid for......

1/60 vf-1s Roy with Strike parts. If I had to pick one of these. I would rather have the this though:
-
Yep the one good thing that happens in a year. If it wasn't for Valks, books and video games I would be bored out of my fricken skull hear. The film festival would be better if we had a mulitplex though. The theater we have hear is older than I am and my Home Theater puts it to shame. Oh well maybe I'll go drain my sorrows in the Indian Casino......wait I can't do that or I won't be able to afford the VE-1 and the Virgin Road at the end of the month!
-
Yeah I order from them all the time. I check the invoice slips and that's what they list the items as. I'd scan and post it if I had one handy. I paid duty on an order from Hobby Link a couple of years ago but not any more. I know it is illegal but I ain't complaining if it saves me 10% on an already horribly expensive toy with horribly expensive shipping...
-
If they are going to do a repaint of a VF-4 they have to do a Roy Skull squadron paint scheme. Is it me or is that paint scheme always bad ass no matter what valk you see it on or what? Never the less if they do a VF-0D and a VF-4 next year I'll be happy (as long as they are not as expensive as a VF-22). Somewhere in the VF-1 Super/Strike or VF-11 price range will be fine.
-
Man if they have to start lowering the price for the VF-21/22s. That will be 4 repaints off of the same mold. Basically with shipping some of us would be looking at $400US for Max and Mira....... I love the VF-22 but there is a limit to what I will pay especially if Yamato want us to buy a VF-1S (Stealth?), VF-1D (VR), VE-1, VF-1J (Max) and VF-1J (Mira) this year. I still need to go back and pick up the VF-1 Hik 1A/S, Cannon Fodder's, Max's, and Kaz's at some point and if I don't find a breather in the release schedule somewhere I will never get them......or I'll go bankrupt.
-
Yes. All the Super parts and Strike parts will fit all VF-1(?) 1/60 V.2's except possibly the VT-1 and VE-1. I am from Canada too (Saskatchewan). If you order from Hobby Link, Overdrive and Hobby Search you should not pay duty on any of these items. They will list it as either a gift or a $25 diecast toy which will not qualify for the GST/PST duty. FYI you are going to take it up the rear for shipping though. Expect to pay between $30-50US........

I have a first release Hik 1J with no problems. I have a Strike Roy and both shoulders are cracker. I have the replacement arms from Overdrive but as of yet they have not broken off. I am surprised how long they are holding up with the cracks. Or it might be that now that I know they are there I am carefull enough with the arms that they don't get any worse. Don't worry go and buy them! Overdrive is having a sale on the early release stuff right now.

Im having problems deciding if I should get a certine valk for christm

I say the VE-1. Cooler than the VT-1. Max and Mira are cool but come on the VE-1! -
I voted for the VF-0D but I would have voted for the VF-4 as well if I could have voted twice.
-
Oh man..... is there a release date and price yet? It's going to be hard to come up with the money for these ones considering the Max and Mira VF-1s come out in a couple of months.
