  1. She tried to murder her earlier. Given that, I don't see how 'not curing' her comes as any surprise. And it's a fansub flub.
  2. Perhaps his title should be "nothing lasts forever"?
  3. Robo-niichan's gonna get it!
  4. I'd say deliberatly trying to have her killed tops that.
  5. EDIT: Nevermind, the above link holds all that and then some.
  6. With this I suppose you mean to imply that the public display would be considered very inapropriate if Klan was actually 'the age' that her micronized form indicates her to be? I suppose I wouldn't react all that much, given the fact Klan is actually the older of the duo. Problem would be solved if Micheal was to Macronize himself, anyway...
  7. I think it's perfectly fine saying she's evil. Whatever this 'greater achievement' might be, it doesn't change the fact that she's destroyed a planet, murdering everyone on it. She also appears to have orchestrated a conflict against Frontier and the Vajra, resulting in heavy casaulties on both sides, and I suspect she's probably highly involved in the demise of the 117th fleet as well. Wether motivated by this greater achievement or purely selfish gains, these were still evil actions.
  8. As the lowlife scum leech that I am, I was wondering if anyone had any big juicy scans yet?
  9. I believe the short sequence of the damaged Galaxy was first shown in episode 6 when the President is making his speech, where it is shown, together with images of the first Vajra attack, thereby making it actual footage. In hindsight I expressed myself a little clumsily in my last post, stating that it was "obviously fake". While I believe it is fake footage given the fact that Galaxy is shown later to be without a scratch, I suppose it could just as easily be that it had been damaged then gotten repaired... Whatever the case is, it isn't damaged anymore.
  10. Voted Kaifun, and not based on his personality, because while it may win him the Biggest Jerk award, it doesn't have quite as much bearing on his ability to be a Manager. He just sucks at it anyway. The others while also having their quirks perhaps, did remarkably well for their stars, unlike Kaifun who took over after Minmay was already a living legend. And fire bomber american seems to just have passed by in relative obscurity
  11. Well, not really, given that I felt you expressed my thoughts in text way better than I ever could. It was also one of the longer, more thought through opinions on her written here. Our views do differ slightly though, and I suppose you judge Sheryl harsher than I would (I found her interesting even before this episode, but now more so), but I can follow and largely agree with your line of thinking from start to end. I did really sympathise with her this episode during her fall, but rather than seeing it as her suddenly having grown weak (I've nothing against strong women either) it felt more like she dropped her dishonest guise about herself and became... well more honest Also, your idea that certain of her negative traits were born out of her desire to make the 'lie' called Sheryl Nome into truth ringed true to me, and it kind of endeared her to me further While I dislike these traits as well, the idea that they actually came out of a desire to 'better herself' and truly become a person who would've become Sheryl Nome on her own, is interesting.
  12. I for one found these walls of text, and the responses to them, to be an interesting read.
  13. Looks just fine to me. from ep 7, before the Vajra attack from the end of ep 15 Also, when Grace is talking to Sheryl in ep 15 concerning the fate of Galaxy, we breifly get to see this when she refers to the "Mainland" ship: While the damaged state is obviously fake, it should be fairly clear that the term refers to the main purple ship.
  14. It all depends on how you pronounce the name rather than how you spell it (in english).
  15. Her name is クラン クラン, (Ku-ra-n Ku-ra-n). Japanese cannot spell out names like "Klan" or "Klein" or "Klang", instead you get a similar sounding aproximation. "Kuran" could be the resulting aproximation from any of the above examples, though in my opinion "Klan" is closest.
  16. Or you know, he might just have deep respect for his teacher and want his son to get along with him.
  17. Oh I believe you're quite right, and that Frontier really will end on a friendly note concerning the Vajra. Wouldn't be Macross if it didn't. This seems to be the very opposite goal of the Galaxy Anonymous however, who clearly seem to be turning out to be the true villains of the show.
  18. They did not. It's a plausible theory however that one of their goals was to allow the Vajra to evolve defences against all of frontiers conventional weapons, rendering frontier defenceless in the long run.
  19. That doesn't quite do it for me either. How would generating a war between Vajra and Humanity promote cybernetics and make everyone join this collective? Scaring them with the Vajra will make everyone become a cyborg?? Don't see it. It doesn't explain what the V-type has to do with anything either, and what of the fold quartz?
  20. You'll have to excuse me, but I find that rather weak. There has to be more to it than that. I really doubt their ultimate goal is greater unity between humans and zentrans.
  21. And that would be what Ranka is for.
  22. Still want to hear her version of Don't be late though. Episode 2 had her singing a line a capella from that as well.
  23. She did once, ED theme for ep 15. Liked it less than the original. Bit dissappointing since I thought the brief a capella version from episode 2 held more promise.
  24. EDIT: Nevermind
