Lol All teched out with anti-Borg weaponry. We got to see old raiders ans Centurions, too bad the old Basestars weren't around. According to RDM the Colony was grown around the Final Five's original ship. For all its size a couple of nukes can take it out. -

Harbinger meaning messenger of death. RDM admitted he was making up stuff along the way. Unlike B5 or say DS9 that had planned ending. Now the weird thing is why did the First Hybrid say they must not follow her? Is it because the cycle would start up again? Well in the cases of the colonies and Earth 1 they brought their technology, history and excess baggage with them. Earth 2 is too random in 150,000 years for the same thing to happen again. Besides with robot fictions we are smarter than they are. LOL But frak me this could be used as a prequel in a BSG TOS fanfic. Explaining the origins of the 12 colonies and Terra. On another note Glen Larson is working for his two babies Battlestar Galactica and Knight Rider for movie pre-production. -
Thing is HG's rights to Macross is leaky and won't hold up in court. Take for example the Ultraman series with Tsuburaya Productions vs Thai company Chaiyo Productions. Chaiyo was illegally profiting from Ultraman trying to claim the franchise and baring Tsuburaya from marketing Ultraman overseas. What happened? Tsuburaya won the case. Chaiyo has to pay for all the crap they've done. Now the same thing could happen to HG if Big West pushes for it in court. HG is trying to corner a market denying the real property owner its right. That is why I don't believe that the Robotech movie would push through. Even if it has a big name star like Toby McGuire pushing for it. Already one those in pre-production jumped ship seeing it won't work. HG is looking at lawasuit heaven eventually.

Well we never saw the condition of the other 11 worlds on survivors except Caprica. Those left were either killed or used in rape farms. The Skinjobs abandons the Colonies to chase the Colonials and their destination Earth. Cylons chose Earth to be next home. Besides who wants 12 irradiated planets anyway? Without radiation drugs those in the colonies would slowly die. As for those stuck in space. We don't know if the fleet Cain scuttled got caught by Cylons. I could say that the Loyalist and Rebel Cylons are still fighting a Civil War but RDM seems to say in finality that they are all dead. The Colony was concluded to fall into the black hole. Though we only saw it nuked, we didn't exactly see it fall into pieces. So the only wild card out there are the Red Stripes chromejobs. (For all we know starting another frakked up cycle.) For all we know Earth 1's Toasters are out there but alas RDM says they're dead too from being nuked. (Which is pretty stupid as they are machines.) . -
I'm watching Macross 7 again I just realize there three types of Mental remote control systems seen in Macross. Macross Plus - The Brain Direct System and Brain Direct Imaging of the YF-21. Macross 7 - Protodevlin Gavil controls his FBz-99G Saubergeran with what looks like fiber optics connected to him. Macross Frontier - The Macross Galaxy's VF-27 cybernetic interface with cyborg Brera Stern Comparison between the Protodevlin's remote controlled Az-130A Panzerzorene and UN Spacy/NUNS Valkyrie Drones and Ghosts. The Drone Panzerzorene is mentally controlled via a strange mechanism which is controlled via a single leader piloted unit, which gives orders. Similar to Luca's strategy with Ghosts but his is equiped with AI. The same can be said probably of the VF-11 drone units and the Neo Glaug but more human supervision. Macross Galaxy's besides the likely AI, is the networked systems of their VF-27s and V-9 Ghosts.

Anybody else thinking Man's Best Friend all descended from Romo Lampkin's dog? -
Yes that is why it can afford to lose a limb or two. Guess it is also one of the reasons why the VF-27 is considered a successor to it. The VF-27 has four engines, two at the back wings.

No, Minmay is a first name. Lin is her last name. In parts of South East Asia the familiy name comes first thus Lin Minmay. If there is anybody biologically related to anyone on the SDF-1 Macross it would be Miranda Merin. Presumably she is the grand daughter of Jamis Merin. Minmay's rival. Then again I could be wrong. For all I know Aegis Focker is a clone of Roy Focker. Perhaps same thing with Macross 7 Flower Girl who could be a clone of a Minmay Flower Girl. Miranda being a daughter of a clone of Jamis Merin. We can never be sure but the parallels between Minmay with Ranka and Jamis with Miranda. Only this time a Jamis won.

Okay...Never expected the Colonials/Cylons to pull a SG1 Ancients. In SG-1 and SGA after the war was lost with the Wraith they came to Earth and gave up technology. Some assimilated to the local human population, others ascended. Well Kara was sort of ascended as an angel. I never seizes to amaze me how the Galactica pulls Macross manuevers. First was the rescue in Caprica now with a Daedalus Attack. In a way the Colonials/Cylons are the Protoculture. The first ones with culture. Teaching their culture was one of Lee's ideas especially with language. While it is true that humans naturally evolved there is a hint of alien manipulation. Like what is implied in the Macross franchise. In this case with Hera. -

The abandonment of technology could be an attempt to break the cycle. In both cases of Earth 1 and the Twelve Colonies they managed to keep their tech as lost tech to be rediscovered. It could be that whatever happened to Kobol also involved a Cylon Centurion rebellion. -

Wait what? Talk about jumping the shark. -
On how Female Ace pilots are treated as celebs it is similar on how Zentradi treat their Meltran aces on SDFM TV. Warera-Loli-Kon were like Wow when they found out it was Millia herself. Indeed in Fleet of the Strongest Women Millia and Chlore had a history of kill count competition. Macross II is set after DYRL where the setting is different. Zentradi and Meltrandi were killing each other till Minmay sang Do You Remember Love. It is ironic that another culture that managed to integrate Zentradi and Meltradi as their slave warrior caste were their enemy. But comparably they were weaker than the fleets of Bodolzaa and Laplamiz. Purple ones are Mardook.

That would be Wendy Rider's Riding My Valkyrie. I heard Banana Moon in Macross Dynamite 7. Jamming Birds are always treated as second rate B-Squad to Sound Force's Elite A-Squad. Well at least they became useful at the end. They just needed Mylene as their leader. In fact three girls joined Mylene to form the all girl band Jamming Angels in MD7: Mylene Beat manga.

I've been watching episode 38 again. Anybody else thinking of Kakizaki when nameless fodder VF-11s gets blown by Gigil's explosion?

Which makes it all the more awesome.

Sorry I forgot about that guy existing. Yeah well when you think about it Gepelnitch wasn't exactly awake and so is the rest of his gang at the beginning. Pays to have extra fire power for those pesky Zentradi. Chlore and her fleet showed they were still around. Probably wouldn't mind fighting the Supervision Army replacements. Exsedol thought the Varauta fighters were familiar because of their paintjobs.
-
Ah well as long as she gets a Sound Force version of a VF-9. Which is really small if you think about it.
-
In relation to Macross 7th Chord what is the protagonist's name?
-
Thus a Macross Plus movie treatment. Though we won't be getting any Basara treatment alongsde this time around.
-
Oh shi... Eight Macross cannons? If Kinryuu didn't sortie Battle 7 wuld have been wrecked. The Varauta Fleet Flagship Space Carrier is 4,320 meters. That makes it the longest conventional warship in the SK Macross continuity. (By conventional warship I don't mean moon size fortresses or emmigration colonies) Good work sketch.
-
Heck we didn't get yet a YF-24. Or this the massed production version of the YF-24?
-
No comment. They made the ARMDs and the engine blocks where the city used to be into heavy energy convergeance beam cannons. And the ARMDs cracked!
-
SRW does have Global shouting "ARMD Attack".
