I do have to wonder... Why the heck did they refit the Macross with so many beam weapons? Not to mention it doesn't have a crew or it only needs to two people to operate.

Battlestar Galactica Discussion III
RedWolf replied to kaiotheforsaken's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Finally you are at te point called the Recon! Tigh was supposedly around during the Cylon War now it turns out it is fake. Indeed how do the planted five go to where they are? Anders as a pro pyramid player, Tyrol serving on Galactica, Tory as a political aide etc... Just shows RDM was making things and he doesn't have a Plan. -

It would be interesting to note that wasn't originally in the script. Improvization on Olmos's part. -
I'm counting 13 barrels on that thing. Who is the pilot? Left one or right one?

The kicker is Seto sees the Studio Nue continuity is the AU rather than the main timeline. He is more a Macross II fan really.

Battlestar Galactica Discussion III

LOL I remember that. At the time I thought Colonials Humans and Cylon Humanoid Models are not really that different if they can concieve. Indeed labeling the replicant Cylons as machines is a misnomer. They are biological augmented clones. If Baltar can get projections and Oracles do the same stuff as Hybrids then biologically speaking they are not really that different. Which lead me into thinking given they were supposedly created by their Lords of Kobol that everybody is a Cylon. -

There will be a sequel in the future. Think of it instead of like SDF Macross reimagined for one movie (DYRL) here the Macross Frontier series is reimagined into two part movies. -

The re-imagined series. The 12 issue. Since this didn't even try to shoehorn itself to canon. Plus there is an appeal towards Centurions acting like loyal Bolos and them being antagonistic to the treacherous Cylons. Avoid the Final Five series if you do not want to be spoiled for the last nBSG season. On another note it is interesting that Colonials never developed nuclear fusion technology for ships. Tylium fuels their ships and Vipers and Raptor. One factor for them not developing nuclear fusion technology for ships is that nuclear radiation renders Tylium inert thus useless. According to Baltar tylium has the following characteristics: Tylium ore is rendered inert and unusable when exposed to nuclear radiation. Refined tylium precursor is more unstable and much easier to ignite than the finished fuel itself Refined tylium has a tremendous enthalpy to the order of approximately half a million gigajoules per kilogram, or about 6 times greater than Uranium-235 and 81% that of deuterium fusion. A tylium detonation results in no radioactive fallout. In contrast to Macross where nuclear fusion technology was a precursor to thermonuclear reaction engines and power plants. -

Well nBSG comics comic vary. Most or all of it is non-canon. Battlestar Galactica 0-12 is AU. With old style Centurions loyal to Caprica siding with the RTF. Lots of resurrected human including Zak Adama. Battlestar Galactica: Zarek series is about our dear politician from birth to where he is now. Battlestar Galactica: Season Zero is about Adama taking command of the Galactica dealing with insurgent elements in the Colonies. Battlestar Galactica: Pegasus is a one shot about Cain and Pegasus before the attack on the Colonies. Battlestar Galactica: Origins is character centric with a couple of issues focused on one character in each arc. Battlestar Galactica: Ghosts, a side story about a Viper squadron during the attack of the Colonies. Battlestar Galactica: Cylon War , AU of the Cylon's origins. Canon Cylon origins is with the upcoming Caprica series. Which the pilot has already been released. Battlestar Galactica Final Five- Well there's too much spoilers in this as it is closest to canon. -

LOL In the Battlestar Galactica comic prequel the 13th Tribe also called it the Algae planet. Since it supposedly has an entire sea of algae on it. Which did not see in the episode. Sucks when all your food is algae. Makes me wonder though what do the human Cylons eat on their baseships. -

You know its bothered me how unprotected Cylon Double Y Basestars are compared to Double Saucer Basestars and Battlestars. Sure its a carrier analog but that's just it a carrier. A carrier unprotected by a battle group. Where as the Battlestar is a carrier/battleship hybrid that operates in battlegroups. Thus the different classes of Battlestars and other support ships like the Berzerk. Double Saucer Basestars can at least hold its own against a Battlestar. Wonder where the heck did those go? -
The same question Graham and Liza gave Basara. Elma answered he is Basara. Of course he would sing.

Babylon 5 had a plan and exit plans just in chase there were actor problems. RDM here is winging it. So much that some in Space Battles screams recon at it. A human disease actually. Which the Colonials after centuries became immune. The Cylons who took human form did not include that immunity in their genes. whoops! Lymphocytic choriomeningitis ,of which encephalitis is one form, is a real disease. One gets it from rodent droppings. A good reason to wash yourself thoroughly if you went through a flood. It is implied by the existence of the scrolls of Pythia somebody came back to Kobol and told the rest of the 13th Tribe's journey. With Cylons wanting to live on Earth it shows their want of a special destiny in accordance with their religion. Cavil thinks it's all bull. -

A reference to how the Greeks used to hand out death sentences. A poisoned cup. That's how Socrates died after a very democratic vote of Athens jury of 500. He was given a choice of how he should die. Ellen sold out to protect Saul, Saul in turn as leader of the resistance has a responsibility to hand out punishments to collaborators. Yeah its Fraked up. -

Has Humanity truly surpassed Protoculture?

Vindirance are the good guys. Col. Wilbur Garland was creating a scenario where the military can take over the government. Some officers found out and went rebel. Garland believes everybody should be unified under one authority before another invasion comes. -
Sophisticated thermonuclear reaction engines. Valkyries and ships engines are using thermonuclear reaction engines. Prior to the crash of the ASS-1 and its eventual reverse engineering there was a breakthrough in thermonuclear or fussion technology. With the advent of Overtechnology, thermonuclear reaction engines and Reaction Weapons were developed. Basically humans had the basics of the science and went to a more advanced avenues thanks to the Macross.

The way you say it reminds me of Soylent Green.

Missiles, bullets and reaction weapons do squat to Protodevlin. Their bodies, the Evil Series (Eh-vil), are the ultimate WMD developed by the Protoculture. As the result of the weapons escalation of their civil war. One Protodevlin is able to destroy one Zentradi fleet. Music or rather Song Energy turns them off. 500,000 years ago a group of Protoculture posessing Anima Spiritia sealed the Protodevlin at the 4th planet of the Varauta System. The Protoculture is the ancestral or proginator race of Zentradi, Humans and Zolans. The Zentradi were their massed produced clone soldiers where as Humans and Zolans are their seeded races. The Protoculture do not do the fighting themselves but by proxy through their Zentradi soldiers and fleets. The Protodevlin are energy creatures from another dimension. When the Protoculture used Super Dimension Organs for the Evil Series it tapped to that dimension for power. The Protodevlin took over the Evil Series bodies. The Protodevlin could not exist in our plane of existence without Spiritia or lifeforce. The Protodevlin brainwashed both Protoculture and Zentradi creating the Supervision Army. The Macross was a Supervision gunship. The Protodevlin rampage for Spiritia caused 85% of the Protoculture to die. Nearing extinction the Proculture factions had no choice but to join forces and recind their orders to Zentradi not to harm Protoculture. For there are Protoculture in the Protodevlin's Supervision Army. It was not until the Anima Spiritia came that the Protoculture won the war. But their numbers as such and the Zentradi which are no longer in their command ensured their extinction. Song Energy can also help recover Protodevlin victims drained of their lifeforce and those under Protodevlin mind control. As for the ending and conclusion watch Macross 7.

Makes me wonder if it would have done better if shown in 12/12 despite competition like Decade and Double 2010 Movie Taisen and Ultra Galaxy Legend.
