Battlestar Galactica Discussion III

I was recently made aware of something I missed on Daybreak. Look behind the Cylon Basestar. It is the original Battlestar Galactica model. -
Caprica! Dynasty Meets BSG

Who are they Romo Lampkin? We got shot again of the blimp and fighters with new footage at the start. Though Zoe did say V-World is not real did thay really have to reuse the shots from There is Another Sky? I found two interesting supplementary sites on the setting of Caprica. The Caprican is a news site that covers Caprica and the Colonies. http://showblogs.syfy.com/caprican/ Serge Graystone Twitter where you can ask the robot butler Serge. http://twitter.com/SergeGraystone From the Caprican I learned of the details of the Tauron civil war. The war was between Tauron's democratic government and the Ha'la'tha. Tauron's major nutritional staple is beef but during war time this became scarce on some areas that people started eating dirt to fill their stomachs. This caused collagen brake down and a condition called the Spots. Thus the term Dirt Eater came to be. Tauron is a victim of invasions of fellow colonies up until 800 years before gaining their independence. Apparently when their ancestors got to the Colonies they were 12 tribes but they did not stick to their designatedly named planet. Thus migrations and occupations. There are other outposts such as the mining colony Troy. -

Neither Zoes blew up the train. That was Ben Stark's doing. Adama front... As said he's a noob. As Emanuel said Taurons are supposed to have bigger stones. Though as Sam said Joseph is a Caprican in a Tauron's body. Joseph need to get in touch of his inner Tauron so he asks Sam what it is like to kill a person in cold blood. Sam was like WTF brother I thought we were over these issues with bribing Charon over the river Styx. Sam says Tell yourself it is not real.... Which is quite appropriate in the game of New Cap City. He didn't find his daughter yet but there are clues. Rubbed out a couple of drug dealers and showed up in some club where she places her signatures. Greystone front... Daniel is brutally testing Zoe culminating to the shoot the dog moment. Amanda was right about him that killing isn't in him when she spoke to Tom Vergis.(Damnit woman one of these days your going to get killed by being so trusting of strangers.) Tom Vergis did tell her two of his men died with the MCP stolen. This will affect her marriage. Lacy hears all the angst Zoe has. Her trust issues with Daniel was compounded by the revelation people died just to place her inside that robot. Now she thinks he is merely using her for his company. STO front... Sister Clarice being close to Amanda probing if she knows about Zoe's vatar and if she met her. Like with Joseph he told her the Avatar was gone. Amanda is not up to speed at what is happening currently. Basically as I predicted Clarice is after the Avatar while Vergis is after the MCP which he thought doesn't work. He likely heard an account it actually frakking worked and wants to find out how Daniel did that... On top of his revenge. -

Now that's something... The beginning of the end Earth 1 which we do not have any idea other than it was likely a war between the Kobol skinjob descendants and the samurai chromejobs. (Since many treat the Final Five comics as non-canon.) But more likely this has something to do with the 12 Colonies. Hopes are the First Cylon War. We only saw the end of it in Razor Flashback. Caprica deals with the beginning of the Cylons. -

http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p...p;postcount=335 Ask Shoji Kawamori! When will the next movie come out? If there is a spin-off which character would you chose? (Kamiya , Michael's seiyuu whose characters are getting killed off.) -
Michael has a cellphone. That's how he informs his boss about Mylene.

Interesting stuff. Hopes for a massed production version of the YF-24 instead of the VF-171EX. -
They weren't divorced just separated.

It should be noted prior to their current jobs Max was a ship commander and Millia was a flight instructor. 35 years leaves a lot of time to change. If its any consolation Millia hasn't had cold in all those years and was clueless about it. Besides being a extrovert is probably why her voters liked her in the first place also with noticible motherly concern for the constituency . Max is left to sigh about her stunts.

Is it any worse than Sister Clarice practically spouting she is monotheist to the mother of the girl she recruited that died with the mother thinking her daughter killed a lot of people? Good thing Amanda is too dumb to realize it. Course both were dopped at the time. edit: Caprica has shown us two types of Vipers in V-World. New Cap City's Viper and V-Match Viper. Now if the kid was right these vehicles have real life equivalents. Now from the intakes we assume these are atmosperic fighters. We don't know yet if these are space capable. One thing is for sure these Viper won't fit the Viper tube of a Colonial Fleet capital ship. Caprican Vipers have the same pentagon as Raiders. CAF could stand for Caprica Air Force -

Tom Vergis confirms what I've suspected. The MCP is useless hardware without the right software. Namely Zoe derived Avatar programs. We would probably have both the STO and Vergis targeting U-87. Oh Zoe aka Rachel giving Phil a eureka moment the figurative father of the Cylon race is not either Daniel Greystone or Tomas Vergis but Phil. His idea will give rise to self thinking and self learning AI not downloadable human consciousness or AI replica we see with Zoe or Tamara. -

Gamlin was informed that Basara's song enegy was detected around the rim region where Zola is. Since he is carrying a picture of Basara asking around instead of waiting in his Valkyrie for a beep Basara was still likely in a catatonic state when he got there. Else he would've found him in the forrest singing. That or Zola Patrol officials told him about a weird human in critical condition escaping the medical ward. They put out a bulletin on Basara though they haven't ID him yet. On another note Macross 11 should be around that rim region if it is popular with Zolans and black market cirminals. Gamlin and Mylene likely took several folds to get to Zola as Macross 7's last known course is the galactic core region. -
350,000 of which are 100,000 are Zentradi or of Zentradi descent. I think a big part of Millia's voters are the youth and the Zentradi. Course if we interpret the presence of those three old Monster veterans and the veteran home Silver Paradise as an indicator part of the Macross 7 population is descended from the old Macross itself. While Minmay was the one intrumantal in ending Space War 1 it is Millia who is pioneer in Human-Zentradi relations.

Zolan did have technology that we did not see with Humans or Zentradi namely their laser stun guns. Human guns and Zentradi blasters would leave a person seriously injured or dead. Though considering a mere wound could be fatal for a non-native due to microorganisms I could see why they have this policy. Zola Patrol seem to treat everybody with kid gloves as seen with their sticky adhesive ammunition. Considering they deal with crooks not terrorists or Zentradi rebels I can see why they have this policy again. What we saw in Macross Dynamite 7 is a coastal area. Maybe there are metropolitan areas on other parts of the planet. As for how Gamlin managed to track down Basara there is a space port nearby. Probably started asking of a guy with glases and a guitar. -
We did see in Macross 7 the Fold Booster do things we did not see in Macross Plus. 1. Extension of fold bubble via syncronization between fold boosters. Large object can be trasported. 2. Multiple use. 3. Spitting distance short range fold. The problems I see always tackled upon as of each generation of fold boosters are range, energy recharge rate, navigation (since you want to come out the right coordinates).
-
Fold Booster technology has been around since 2030 along side the VF-11. In fact the prototype VF-11 and a Fold Booster was stolen by rebel Zentradi around the time of the Second Defensive Battle of Macross City. This led to the development of the Zentradi variable fighter Feios. Fold Booster technology is gradually improved in the Macross universe. The only limiting factor is seen is energy and navigation. As shown in Macross Dynamite 7 Fold Boosters have a navigation system. Where Diamond Force was going was uncharted thus lower probability of an accurate jump calculation.

Validity of the Super Long Range Emigration Strategy

Well that's different its more than 300 years. Where as cultural assimilation via public schools for two or three generations during the American occupation cultural influence lasted decades to this day. Where as British and Japanese occupations were very short for any full blown impact. Though the Japanese did tried to teach Nihhongo to children in public schools it did not have a lasting impression. On the other hand Japanese influence in children's games is noted such as Paper-Rock and Scissors with a Jan-Ken-Pon rhyme, card games, and I don't know when this cultural contamination came in during or after the occupation the dreaded Kancho. Point is given the Zolan's absorption of Human culture they are xeno-culture sponges. Their radio drama love reminds me of all the soap opera imported by my country from all over the world. (On that note I hate soap drama.) -

LOL Given the amount of cultural contamination I'll peg post first contact at least a generation. Around 25 to 30 years. It takes at least 20 years for such cultural changes to stick. (Based on the Philippines' American 50 year occupation, short British occupation during the Seven Years War and Japanese occupation during WWII) -

There are those initial sketches I've seen of Ai-kun type resembling the Regult more. Plus there is Grace's explanation that the Protoculture was such a fanboy of the Vajra that they copied them. If you think about it Regults were based on the two legged Ai-kun type while the Glaug is based on the hutching Red type. -

I was watching The Plan look at what I heard. "Apotheosis was the beginning before the beginning. Devices on alert. Observe the procedures of a general alert. The base and the pinnacle. The flower inside the fruit that is both its parent and its child. Decadent as ancestors. The portal in that which passes." Now we know with the Prophesy of Apotheosis the STO are transhumanists. The line may refer to both Zoe and Tamara but doesn't exclude the posibility some fanatics managed to download themselves to chrome bodies. Sister Clarice now has the specs for the Cylon Centurion but lacking Zoe's Avatar making data mining program.
