Macross Δ (Delta) - announcement thread
RedWolf replied to renegadeleader1's topic in Movies and TV Series
Looking over the Chronology something I found interesting. We don't know the details of the Delta War but ol' Isamu was in it.- 2715 replies

Delta would probably be a designation for the Macross ship. The designation for the SDF-1 Macross was Delta-1.- 2715 replies

Macross Δ (Delta) - announcement thread
RedWolf replied to renegadeleader1's topic in Movies and TV Series
Exsedol is an archivist but he doesn't have all the relevant data until he did some research. It was only after Space War 1 that he did found about more about Protoculture, Stellar Republic and what the Zentradi are. It was depressing for him that he called his race Satan's Dolls. The guy was paranoid of humanity losing that knowledge that he had himself augmented when he became a giant again. He recognized the colors of the Varauta forces were sporting but dismissed it as the were Miclone VFs not Zentradi size battlepods. Once a Protodevlin infiltrated City 7 it confirmed his worst fear that they were back.- 2715 replies

Macross Δ (Delta) - announcement thread
RedWolf replied to renegadeleader1's topic in Movies and TV Series
Actually those were previous orders that didn't make sense for the Zentradi. Even before fold drives when they were still using sublight to Zentradi for proxy warfare. Don't interfere or harm miclones means don't attack Protoculture. Those orders were rescinded by the Protoculture. Why would the Protoculture do that? Cause the Protoculture was facing an enemy, the Protodevlin, that used both Protoculture and Zetrandi against them that their Zentradi soldiers can't fight well with those restrictions. By the time that conflict ended 85% of their race was dead and much of the chain of command broken that only few Zentradi fleets received orders not to attack miclones. 127 years later when the Stellar Republic was finally dead as a organization the Zentradi Army and Supervision Army started their war against each other.- 2715 replies

Except the Varauta isn't the Supervision Army. Check the timeline. The war between the Zentradi and Supervision Army did not go into full swing until the Stellar Republic was dissolved, which was 127 years after the Protodevlin were sealed. So we can't make the assumption we know exactly the condition of the Supervision Army. These guys gave Earth the Macross albeit it was a ticking timebomb meant for Zentradi.- 2715 replies

True but Queadlunn Rau avionics contributed for the brain related systems of the YF-21. BDS carried over to the VF-22 and YF-24 children. Cyber grunts like Brera have BDI like control over the VF-27. BDI got added to the Queadlunn-Rhea. The existence of Meltran implants could be the basis for Macross Galaxy's implant technology. Note prohibition of implants are rare. Macross Frontier's all natural policy bans implants.

Going over the Macross Chronicle World Guide for the Meltrandi and the Glossary entries for Exsedol Folmo and Meltrandi it seems Zentrans and Meltrans different more than just genders. Zentrans are products of genetic engineering and uses organic looking technology or organic technology. Meltrans while genetically engineered are also cyborgs with bio-optic nerves and use inorganic looking technology. The difference can also be seen in their ship designs. Now on to augmentation. Exsedol's entry tells he used to look like his TV version but once he joined Macross 7 he looked green with a large head. This is apparently for brain storage capacity. This also resulted in him having tentacles. Now Grace on the other hand with Macross Galaxy went for the cybernetic enhancement augmentations while looking perfectly organic. Two different strategies to body augmentation. Genetic engineering and cybernetics. But it seems the Protoculture went more advanced on the bio technology route. Golg Boddole Zer was more of a bio computer for his ship in DYRL. The Bird Human and Evil Series were organic weapon WMDs.

Macross Δ (Delta) - announcement thread
RedWolf replied to renegadeleader1's topic in Movies and TV Series
If anything like with the Vajra the government left out some details about the Protodevlin. Stuff like they were Space Vampires and using people as farm animals was not known publicly or in databases was remarked by Ozma in Macross FB7. All the galaxy knows Basara and Sound Force defeated the Protodevlin. As seen with what Liza Hoily said to Basara. But Basara in a typical fashion of his told her he didn't defeat anybody.- 2715 replies

Hoping I'm somewhat in topic. Macross Chronicle tells Zentrans are genetically engineered soldiers that rely on organic technology and the Meltrans are cyborgs. Then it hit me, Grace O'Conner no wonder you had Do You Remember Love play to destroy Frontier. A cyborg fleet frakking over an all natural fleet. The Protoculture conflict was probably more than just Men vs Women, its also which technological direction will follow. Organic technology or Artificial/Cybernetic technology.

I'm hoping Delta deals with the Supervision Army and that they break humanity's expectations of them. Human expectations is that they are like the Zentradi or the Varauta Army whom the Protodevlin brainwashed.- 2715 replies

Do we have any info in this orbital structure in Macross II? The Macross Cannons were docked with it. Is it the second Factory Satellite UN Spacy snatched?

Context is that when Sheryl was ill staying at Alto's home she spoke with Yasaburo. So the planet itself was not mentioned. But I take it as a reference to the Tousugeki Love Heart video where Basara seems to be traveling a frontier planet.

Energy Conversion Armor (ECA), some gathered trivia

Something I've been wondering for a while about Meltran ages. Millia was 16 in SDF Macross. Does that mean she has been alive for 16 years or was born in a 16 year old girl's body? What brought this about is Moaramia's age in Macross M3 was 6 years old. But she was a experimental clone pilot, she even fought a clone of hers. Though I don't have details if she was a child too.

Yeah could be something could be nothing like tabloid reports of Basara being Hikaru and Minmei's child. For a time Max was under UN Forces Intelligence Division performing black ops, so one has to wonder if Max has influence on the establishment. A possible reason for the rumors.

I don't think Kawamori has anything to do with that as he didn't design those. The Aquarion VS Aquarion Evol OAV definitely.- 2715 replies

In Maria Fokina Barnrose's glossary entry also mentioned Max was rumored to be a anti-Lactence supporter. Which makes me wonder if that has anything to do with Macross Frontier having little info on Macross 7 in Macross FB7. Could it be some political backlash using Leon Mishima whose job as Earth's chaperon to the fleet?

One thing that surprises me is that Maria Fokina Barnrose leader of Vindirance in Macross VF-X2 is supposedly Therese Jenius, one of the twin biological daughters of Max and Millia. Which is weird as per M7: Galaxy is Calling Me her hair is purple not green in Emillia's pictures. I thought Maria Fokina Barnrose could be a Millia clone but it turns out she could be her daughter.

Nobunaga the Fool - New Kawamori project
RedWolf replied to Tochiro's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I just had freaking realization. Oda Nobunaga in Nobunaga The Fool (made by Kawamori) is either admired for his character or misunderstood for his eccentricities. The main heroine slowly falls in love and is tsundere about it but is convinced he is the savior... My goodness Nobunaga is a warrior version of Basara from Macross 7!- 52 replies

Here is hoping that the Supervision Army is in this. They are the greatest mystery next to the whereabouts of Megaroad-01. Finally answering who are these guys and the question if they deliberately sent the ASS-1 to Earth as a trap.
