    Know what it would be funny every time UNS/NUNS finds a Protoculture seeded race they try to find out if the Protoculture left behind either a city ship or a bio weapon meant to wipe out the locals if they became too warlike.

    I wonder how many races we are going to have in Macross Delta as the setting would on planets at the Outer Rim. The Kingdom of Wind may be aiming for expansion but habitable planets may already inhabited and fleets like Macross 11 would be competition. They could be like the Galveston Empire in Dairugger XV.

    Kaname Bucaneer is his idol partner and counterpart in the preview. Likely a Big Bro x Big Sis ship with Kaname being Arado's 11 year junior. We've seen a bigger age gap with Jeffrey Wilder and Monica Lange.

    If I'm right given the info we have most of those are Rimward. We know the Survey Ship did its work away from the main Stellar Republic territory which is at the Core region. The NUN did the opposite of what the Protoculture did in terms of government. Knowing the reason for the Civil War was that the central government expanded territory beyond their control thus a separatist movement sprung up the UNG reorganized into the NUN not to repeat the same mistake. As there are separatist movements on planets and fleets are neglected such as what happened during the Protodevlin conflict with Macross 7. The Protoculture did not start as a monolithic entity. They colonized space and warred with each other using Zentradi before they achieved FTL. But once they did achieve FTL in a couple of centuries they formed the Stellar Republic. And now it looks like humanity is uniting the various Children of the Protoculture under the NUN. Uniting the Children of the Protoculture is one of the goals of Richard Bilrer in Macross Frontier. We got from Kawamori's interview that the Kingdom of Wind is similar to the Anti-UN. Which means they don't want to be part of the NUN to the point of attacking NUN ships as seen in the preview.

    If it those are gills it could be an indication of another Protoculture seeded race. Ever since Macross 30 there are hints of other planets seeded by the Protoculture besides Earth and Zola. If that is so I see the NUN as a Federation of Planets representing different humanoid species. The Kingdom of Wind being ideologically similar to the AUN Alliance and an alien empire opposed to NUN federation.

    Purple hair? Fallyna? The Twins had purple hair but didn't have Fallyna as second names. Komilia Maria had Fallyna and Mylene had Flare as a second name. Only one "daughter" had purple hair and Fallyna as an additional name. Moaramia Fallyna Jenius. We could be looking at her daughter. Anyway we can expect another weird courtship as Milia and her daughters are known for. Given Hayate is named after Max Immelmann and has blue hair we can see hostility turn to love. But he'll have to beat her first. If Hayate turns out to be a clone or descendant of a clone of Max would it count as incest?

    Graham Hoiley. Maria Vazquez Hoiley, Liza Hoiley, Elma Hoiley, Laurence... Zolans with Human names. Given the ideals of the Kingdom of Wind is similar to the Anti-UN according to Shoji Kawamori's Forbes interview they are a group that values independence from the NUN. They also have VF tech. I can only assume Earth attempted an uplift but once KoW got their tech they went militant. There is also the blurb the Var syndrome is a plague that causes aggression. So it could be related. The NUN deploying musical tactic squads to counter the Var syndrome. Plus also note Macross Delta is set at the outer rim not the core region like Macross 7 and Frontier. Closer to Earth and in the outer rim is where Zola was found. So it can be surmised Protoculture seeding during the civil war was as far away from Protoculture territory in the core region.

    Ever since Frontier cyborgs are a thing. My speculation here Reina Prowler may be an android. We know in Macross Plus and that drama CD with Luca making AI with AIF-8X that is possible to have AI based on human personalities. It is also what is hinted with Grace and Galaxy Anonymous hivemind. Her not having much emotions may indicate she is a pure AI. Remember back in Macross Plus humanity was excited with the possibility of creating a sentient and sapient AI. Just that Marge cheated with illegal use of bio-neural chips and using Myung as basis. Bio-neural chips gave the X-9 an extra edge by giving it a survival instinct. One of Luca's Ghosts, whom he cared for, sacrificed itself despite self preservation instinct.

    The Var syndrome reminds me of the rogue Zentradi in UN Spacy plot in Macross 7 Trash to increase Zentradi aggressiveness using Protodevlin Spiritia technology. It is also amusing Kawamori has Basara and Sharon Apple as opposites because in games it is Basara doesn't hate Sharon Apple and is the one who convinces her.

Var syndrome being some hate plague that can be countered by music. Delta is set at the Galactic Rim. Probably the same general region where Macross 11 and Zola is.

    Know what Max and Milia are old enough to have grandkids heck they could have great grandkids by now. What if the blue haired MC is a Jenius? Either he is a descendant or... After all these years of trying Max and Milia finally got a boy! And like his sisters he promptly left the nest once he is old enough catching a transport to a far off colony.

    I doubt it is the AUN Alliance as the whole point of of their existence was independence and sovereignty. Changing to the NUN already did that. As for mechs we got upgraded Glaug and Regults as well as another Cheyenne variant like the Cheyenne II minus the missile pods. Here is an idea on the Kingdom of Wind that came to my head. What if the KoW is the Japan expy? First contact and subsequent interaction with Humanity broke out KoW of isolation. UNG did an uplift but not without social upheaval. The Monarchists won and started using copied Overtechnology to build an interstellar empire. They see the Human led hegemony with the Zentradi and Zolans as a threat to their expansion. To them the NUN is a more immediate concern compared to the rarely seen Boddole fleet Zentradi or Supervision Army.

    I'm leaning this is another Protoculture seeded race that the UNG tried to uplift but went sour. The hair tails being an Orguss reference of a sort. Not the first time there was an Orguss reference in the franchise. Macross had the Orguss Valkyrie before the show even aired. Macross 7 had Patroids as Orguss mecha references and also the dinosaurs on Rax. The UNG may have had this mentality to uplift fellow seeded races so they wont end up like Earth did. There is evidence Zentradi do raze planets like with the one Misa and company saw when they were on Bodol Zer's ship. At the same time spread their culture. There is also this mentality to unite the Children of the Protoculture as seen with Bilrer wanting a smaller galaxy with the Fold Quartz. Grace's galaxy wide invasion would probably fuel anti-NUN sentiment in the Kingdom of Wind.

    Macross Galaxy didn't have the traditional UN Spacy escort that became NUNS but it was a private army. The Macross Galaxy Corporate Army. Given this Kingdom of Wind is not using a VF designated craft but SV chances are they are not part of the NUN. The hair spears they could indicate another Protoculture seeded race. One that did not join the UN/NUN unlike the Zolans.

    The UN army is used not only on Macross but in Aquarion, Evangelion, currently Fafner and who knows how many other Mecha anime. So it not that. Nor does it have to do with HG. HG won't dare do it Japan lest they get stomped. They already tried to trademark Marcross in Japan and it didn't work.

    But they would've done if it were on time. From Ozma and Cathy's conversation not only were the fold faults are going to delay a response but also the parliament going for a decision. In the movie continuity Galaxy was pretty much already suspected by the rest of the NUN for espionage and human rights violations. The response was comparably quick. In VF-X2 the Macross 13 fleet was their response fleet to Zentradi rebels and terrorists.
