New Macross TV Series in 20xx (sometime this decade)
RedWolf replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
In my opinion the NUNS sigil is a combined logo of UN Spacy and Vrlitwhai's Zentradi forces. It was curious during the 30th post war anniversary ceremony in Macross Plus they had different symbols and uniforms. I wonder what aspect of Macross from previous shows Kawamori would revisit. Macross Frontier revisited the idea that the Protoculture based their designs on nature. Macross Dynamite 7 vol 3 liner notes suggested such with the Nupitiet-Vergnitz with the Galactic Whales. Macross Delta also revisited the premise that Terrans aren't the only species artificially seeded or evolved by Protoculture. Macross 7 had the musician is the messiah that would redeem part. Macross Zero had culture shock in a different way. -
Interesting to note VHS / LD "Macross dynamite 7 Volume 3 solitary - LONESOME -" liner notes mention if you look deeply Nupetiet-Vergnitzs was modeled after Galactc Whale. So the Protoculture may have not just worshiped the Vajra. The Fish Human?

New Macross TV Series in 20xx (sometime this decade)

Thinking about it there is an opportunity to show all 5th Generation VF to date. Earth's VF-24, Frontier's VF-25 and YF-29, Galaxy's VF-27, Surya Industries VF-31. If you are asking why the VF-27 it has been seen in post Frontier media with Macross 30 and Macross E. As for the Sv-262 Draken III it is too much identified with Windermere to me. Though I wouldn't mind seeing Sv-154 Svard as it and the YF-24 are the only ones we never saw their transformation though we can extrapolate given the VF-25, and the LV-47 from Macross Design Works. -
Nobody wants Isamu as according to his CO he is a trouble maker. Also he has been coincidentally in one too many conflicts and he isn't even Special Forces like Dancing Skull or VF-X.

So an idol, a bridge bunny and a pilot? It looks to me this is planned in advanced alongside Macross Delta being in a short time. I hope we get a follow up on Berger Stone and Epsilon Foundation as they totally got away in Macross Delta with tons of data from the Drakens to the Protoculture systems. -
Planet Cashew in Macross the Ride had a civil war between NUNS and UN Forces loyal to Lactence. You can see in Isamu's service record he has been quite a number of wars.

Okay I'm having a problem with editing my post as usually do it in BBcode. -
I wouldn't call Windermere a full member more of an associate as unlike Voldor or Ragna they do not identify their own militia as NUNS or UN Forces akin to Zola Galaxy Patrol. At the time they were allies. Unlike the Zola Galaxy Patrol they do not identify their mobile weapons as a VF or any type of variable unit like VB or VA.

The Sv-154 and Sv-262 to me are on a similar ambiguity as those of the YF-27 and YF-30 that NUNS Central didn't receive the full specs due to loopholes in the law. Plus there is subtext that Sv Works under General Galaxy has been doing this for decades supplying Anti-UN groups. (Credit to Sketchley and Wakusei for the translations.) Great Mechanics G 2016 Summer The Secret Story Of The Draken III's Creation Sv-262Hs Draken III The Variable Fighter used by the Windermere Kingdom. For its development, the Sv-262 has roots in the Sv-51, and the Sv-262's originated in the participation of engineers that were descended from the Anti-Unification Alliance - which despite being defeated in the Unification War, was proud of its great technological strength. Liner Notes VF History Alexi Kurakin, miraculously survived the interstellar war. Kurakin was the man who led the VF-4 project from start to finish After making the SV-51, he defected to the UN government. Under the United Nations military prior to Space War 1, Kurakin worked as a civilian engineer in the VF-1’s development, after which he became a contracted employee of Stonewell Belcom, where he suddenly was left in charge of the VF-4 project. After development of the VF-4, Kurakin did not join Shinsei Industries but created General Galaxy Kurakin foresaw that with humanity’s sudden emergence into galactic space, it would be fighting against humanity that would escalate more than that against Zentradi. The main weapon in a war of humans versus humans would be the VF. Kurakin set up the SV design division as a special development team in General Galaxy. The SV design division worked on designs of “anti-VF VFs,” and there is talk of prototyping and limited run production, but this is of course top secret and the facts of it are unknown. There are also rumors of field testing on colony planets such those on the frontier. As these aircraft constantly possessed maneuverability surpassing the mainstream fighters of the UN Spacy at all times, they were called VF-killers. It is also said that the SV in SV development division is Slayer of VF or Slayer of Valkyrie. Macross Chronicle Revised Ed. - Mechanic: Other UN 04B: Variable Guraaji / Neo Guraaji Variable Glaug A Zentraadi one-man Glaug Battle Pod aircraft development series. In the same way as the Variable Fighters in the Earth side, it transforms to the three forms of Fighter, GERWALK, and Battroid. Even though it's said to have been a weapon that a Zentradi Insurrection Element developed with obtained Earth technology, its details are unknown. Neo-Glaug it's likely that the Variable Glaug is considered to be an aircraft based on the Neo-Glaug that was improved upon by the Anti Unification Power. Mechanic: Other 10B: Vanquish Race Related Aircraft Neo Glaug It has a complicated origin where it is said that it was based on a Variable Battle Pod, which was developed with the VF technology that the Lost Zentradi gathered after the First Interstellar War Macross The Ride VBP-1/VA-110 Neo-Glaug Specs Model Designation: VBP-1/VA-110 Classification: Variable Battle Pod Attached to: Earth Main Planetary Fleet "Fasces" Design: Macross Combine [Business Concern] / General Galaxy / New Nile Armoury Manufacturing: Protodeviln Automated Arsenal Empty Weight: 27,500 kg Engine: Roicommi / General Galaxy Thermonuclear Converter FC-2450? Airframe Explanation VBP-1/VA-110 Neo Glaug A variable battle pod that's based on the EVA (Enemy Valkyrie, Enemy Variable Fighter) that was developed by use of the Earth side's technology which was leaked to the lost Zentradi in the latter half of the 2010s. The Neo Glaug is an EVA that the Macross Combine completed while taking in the design of such things as the VF-4 Lightning; the EVA having not achieved the rebirth of high-performance Glaug. Queadluun-Alma From Macross Compendium Designer: Quimeliquola 74710020692nd Zentradi F.A.W.D.P/General Galaxy Equipment Type: Battle Suits Affiliation: FASCES The design, developed by Earth engineers who defected to rogue Zentradi who designed the Feious Valkyrie, incorporated the technology from the enemy Valkyrie with the Queadluun-Rau and it has a variable function to a high-speed flight form. The Zentradi Variable Glaug definitely a Sv Work product though covertly. The Feious Valkyrie maybe but as far as we know it was built by the guys who stole the VFX-11 during the 2030 Macross City uprising. Lost Zentradi with upgraded kit had the Feious in 2047 and later seen used by Zentrad Anti-UN group Black Rainbow in 2050 to 2051. Macross the Ride says General Galaxy employed those engineers at some point. General Galaxy got so bloated that they don't know what their subsidiaries do. Take Macross Galaxy's Guld Works. The YF-27-5 prototype intruded on the Vanquish race for illegal combat testing. Hell Macross Galaxy didn't send the finalized specs mass producing the YF-27 to the VF-27. Because they were planning to revolt in the first place.

Macross the Ride question. So Naresuan was the commander of the Varauta UN Forces unit Etoile Filan and it was destroyed when they were "betrayed"? Meaning the Protodevlin started their mind control. Having links to Varauta Naresuan has the Neo Glaug bis and Queadlunn Alma produced in the Protodevlin arsenal factory. In the light novel he has Varauta Army variable fighter units among his forces.

More like each race team has a corporate sponsor. The military industrial complex uses the race to test new technology and advertise their products.

According to Berger Stone Ragna is at a region of space where it is easy to receive transmissions from subspace. A pretty good reason for an interstellar comm company to set up shop there. Ragna and Windermere is at opposite ends of the Brisingr globular cluster. Windermere's region is full of Fold Faults which is an impediment for their forays into the interstellar economy. They now get around this using Sigur Valen's point to point Fold gate system. The casus belli for the independence war are Windermere's treaties with the NUN. After Macross Frontier the NUN restricted mining of Fold Quartz due to concerns over Dimension Eaters. Much like our reality where nuclear weapons knowledge is available but weapons grade uranium and plutonium is hard to obtain. Irrationally Windermereans see this as stealing their resources.

Speaking of planets Delta special mentioned a new one. Planet Varuna where Messer's orders got mixed up ending him delivering pizza. Planet list

Just watch the third one. First part was Hayate asking what Chaos is. Freyja, Mirage and Kaname giving different answers. Going off tangent with Messer anecdote being given the wrong ob on the wrong planet with the food division negotiating with the PMC division to give them Messer. Second part was the twins and Bogue getting a video tape on the VF-31J. Bogue disappointed he didn't see a naked Makina again. Interesting that much like Epsilon Foundation Chaos is a megacorp with various business divisions. FYI Aisha Blanchett from Macross 30 and Elma Hoiley from Macross Dynamite 7 are Chaos employees in other media. Aisha who was one of the original game heroines and was director of SMS Ouroboros branch though her real job is Fold physicist trying to figure out to break Fold Faults with her Fold Resonance system installed on the YF-30, direct ancestor of the VF-31 and another variation on the Fold Wave System. She's a scientist on Chaos Ragna branch in the novel. Elma Hoiley was the loli Zolan groupie who met Basara and begged him to couch her. Basara just told her to sing what she wants to sing. In Macross Frontier novelization she became a famous singer. in the Delta prequel manga she appears as a biologist for Chaos. Now whether Bilrer Transport Corp and SMS has links with Chaos there are none explicitly. Only that Aisha worked for both. Oh the Twins saying it is copyright infringement totally different as the Song of Wind is mind control. Songs starting from Minmay onwards is to break program conditioning, free from mind control and empower the will of pilots. The Fold Wave System was first used with the YF-29 piloted by Alto with Sheryl and Ranka. The Reheat system on the other hand only provides overboost for the Sv-262 Draken. However as shown with Keith and Cassim they use their Rune for the Fold Waves. Pretty much inferior to the Fold Wave System and Fold Resonance System.

From Zentradi Mobile Weapons Japanese Wikpedia page reference. The Protoculture Stellar Republic is also called the Protoculture Galactic Empire. The former sounds nice and alien at the same time the later sounds the government body of the Protoculture is tyrannical. Are we to think the Anti-Stellar Republic forces as the Rebellion?

Depends if they are wearing these bird suits. Notice their backs. I'm guessing the reason why Windermere refuses to adopt the Ex-Gear is because their wing-glide suits would become a lost art. According to the Newtype article warriors on Windermere 40 years prior used to raid castles with these suits and flying beasts which I guess are these birds. -

I do believe Macross Galaxy isn't getting off with just sanctions as it made itself the enemy of humanity trying to enslave them at gunpoint with Vajra. While the millions of enslaved citizens on it are innocent the cabal isn't.

Well there are two prominent theories. One is that UN Spacy re-branded itself after that Lactence attempted coup of Earth and attacks on fellow UN Spacy forces on other planets. Fasces the Zentradi Lactence branch still uses the old UN Spacy kite. The other is that after Space War 1 they are formally known as New UN Forces (New UN Spacy). Fleets outside of Earth's immediate region are more likely to use it as a full name and changed the logo when decentralization went into full swing into the NUN Government.

Well everybody in universe believed Mao died. So did everyone else with Grace and Brera till they showed up on Frontier. Going by the novelization implications of Manfred Brando saving Grace and Manfred being part of the Macross Galaxy cabal implies they've been manipulating from the shadows with Lactence and Black Rainbow. If we go by TV continuity nobody knows where they are now as they are hiding however as demonstrated by Epsilon Foundation with dummy corporations and subsidiaries you can never tell who owns who anymore. People like Mei Leilong and Ivan Tsar somehow having VF-27s when the design was kept secret by Macross Galaxy. The former is the leader of the Ouroboros Hunter Guild while the later is the chief scientist of the shady Zelgar Heavy Industries that experiments with Var Syndrome.

Macross Δ (Delta) Mecha/Technology Thread - READ 1st POST
RedWolf replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Between heavy NUN regulation of Fold Quartz and the Brisingr Alliance lacking the innovations LAI made like super fold drives or zero time lag communications I venture to guess the technology hasn't proliferated due to how expensive or rare Fold Quartz is. Hence Windermere insistent on removing the harvesting and trade restrictions on Fold Quartz in its negotiation with the NUNG. There is a potential market for it in the cluster as the region has Fold Faults. Ragna became a comm hub for the cluster because their space can easily receive Fold comm transmissions. This is why Xaos set up shop there as regional HQ. Considering the circumstances it is a bit jarring Hayate gets to wear a Fold Quartz souvenir bought from Windermere by his father. The VF-31 Siegfried as noted are customized Tactical Sound Unit support with the Fold Wave system which has high purity Fold Quartz most likely. -

More likely in conjunction with Walkure equipment that uses Fold Carbon is has something to with Fold Amps.
