  1. IMO, the new 1/60 is overall superior to the 1/48. My only complaints with the new 1/60 is the loss of some detail in the fighter mode and the very dark green visor. For everything else like size, scale, overall proportion, price, and bang for the buck of the full package, these new 1/60's win. I still plan to get at most one 1/48, most likely the Stealth with FPs. But it's 1/60 all the way for me.
  2. Here it is: http://cybertronphils.proboards18.com/inde...amp;thread=5691
  3. I didn't even know that there were 1/60 kits of my favorite mechs! I was gaga over Battletech back in college, and the only figures we were exposed to here were the tabletop sets It'll be difficult to look for those resin kits here in my country, but it's worth a shot
  4. Oh, thanks for clearing that up Now it makes sense
  5. IMO, YES!!! it's a great figure
  6. hehe too bad there's no mad cat and daishi equivalet i'd pick those up in a jiffy
  7. No, the VF-1A will have both Strike and Super Parts. The 1J is the one to only have the Super parts. Though I don't mind, I do agree though that it doesn't make sense to exclude the strike in the package, especially if it's going to be of the same price.
  8. Yay! thanks I don't know Japanese but the characters are different from the 1A. No problem, though my VF-1s will be displayed with Stike and the 1J in super anyway any chance that this'll be cheaper, though?
  9. I'd rather go with a Hikky 1J with Super Parts than a GBP Armor Oh wow! and it's out in October!!! I'll be skipping the 1A so that I can be sure to buy the 1J For the 1A, I'd rather get a Kaki and CF version 1A Max not as much as a 1J Max Anyway, I just want to clarify: The VF-1J is packaged with Super parts ONLY? No strike parts?
  10. oh well, update: the site now says that the release date is 28 August
  11. True. Some retools are necessary for the 1D, and only a redeco for the 1S. I wanted to stay away from the Hikky 1S since I want to concentrate on TV instead of DYRL, but I can't get enough of these new 1/60's
  12. There are at least a couple of more people in my home forum that has this, and they don't have complaints. One even made a review for our forum, and his review is very favorable I don't think I could add them in the poll, so I'll just say it here: + 2 to perfect
  13. yes, ignorance is bliss 1/48s are just as real as unicorns
  14. I am , though of the three, I would have preferred to get Hikky's 1J. I'm more of the TV series than the DYRL. But since I'll be getting an affordable version 1 1J with GBP tomorrow, I wouldn't mind getting the ver 2 1A first. Here's the rest of my wish list for VF-1 ver 2 1/60s: 1A Kaki 1A/J Max 1J Milia 1A Cannon Fodder 1D Also, if I can't find an affordable ver.1 Elientseeker, I hope they make a version 2 Ver 1's that I want to get: 1A CF VE-1 VT-1
  15. Yup, I was supposed to get another VF-1S but with this one possibly being released much earlier than expected, I've reconsidered
  16. Not sure, though I'm hoping it is. Some sites just say August, but this site says it's on July 29: http://www.toyslogic.com/index.php?main_pa...kp6hnugvq2o44i2 hope this is true
  17. is the VF-1A due to come out this 29 July? anyone knows when the non-FP version VF-1s will come out and for how much? thanks
  18. how much would the non-FP version go for?
  19. (raises hand) - I am
  20. @ Swoosh: What's that display stand? where did you get it and how much? thanks
  21. could someone make a tutorial video of transforming it from battoid to fighter? I'm too chicken to transform mine back without clear-cut instructions. I tried doing it but stopped half-way because I'm too scared ti without a guide
  22. hehe don't tempt me further It's hard enough as it is to restrain myself, and my wallet's already crying out loud I do want to get a 1/48, and I'd go for a non-canon edition like the Stealth Valk. Is it difficult to look for FAST packs for that?
  23. casted my vote i love this even more than my first valk, the YF-21 long live the Skull Leader! ;D
  24. Not really. Macross 7 did very well in Japan. It had 49 episodes (which is quite a lot for anime standards), four OVAs, the Fire Bomber had about a dozen albums, and there was even a live concert. These indicate that Macross 7 was indeed popular during its time. The only problem is that it's never brought there in the US. Personally I found the Song Energy concept a bit meh, and I really don't like Basara (I like Gamlin a lot more) but it's still top notch. Also, I find no reason to be embarrassed liking macross since its story's one of the best ever. It has a solid cult following, even here in our country. But since we're closer to Japan than you guys are, I guess that's a bit more expected. Macross and Robotech incarnations are both known here. "Most people are not going to remember something they saw 20 years ago." - Are you sure about this? Because there are LOTS of indications that contradict this. What I would agree, though, is that the Macross pace is much slower than Gundam. Studio Nue seems to take its time before releasing a proper series. This is a double-edged sword, as in one hand, there's less chances of Studio Nue jumping the shark and every new series does turn out absolutely top-notch. But on the other hand, the gap of each release is quite unhealthy IMO. I also agree that newer generation is being deprived of quality anime this way. Then again, Macross is a lot more mature, even by Japanese standards, so those who grew up with Macross 7 would recognize Macross Frontier.
