have you tried a low level format program like harddriver regenerator? also update your virus and spyware scanner. Doesn't seem right if you lose your data on it and have the drive still usuable after you format it, unless your laying it near strong sources of magneticism.

All i remember it takes place in a dead city thats has a roof ontop of it and coarse 3 kids are roaming around in a gerwalk looking bike when a giant bowling pin looking robo fall through the roof and seeks them out.
