Just to let you know, you will not be able to get all of the paint out no matter what you use. I have used Brasso, Easy Lift Off, and Pine sol. Here is what I found out: Product: Brasso Pro: Works on removing all paint. Just takes a little elbow grease. Con: Doesn't remove paint in the panel lines. Also you may have to scrub a while. Product: Easy Lift Off Pro: Gets paint off. At least 99% of it. Con: Soaking it or prolong use will cause the ABS plastic to become brittle. Suggest you lightly use. Product: Pine Sol Pro: Gets paint off of VF-1J only or anything with Red. I use a tottbrush to clean it Con: Doesn't get paint off of DYRL Valks. Will not be able to remove all of the paint but most of it. You will see stains. I never tried Castrol Castrol Super Clean but I may try that. In my experience so far, nothing can take all of the paint out. If anybody knows, pass this info along.

hey but we actujjally saw a PAINTED sculpt of the koenig at least...as far as YF19Fp and the 1/60 monster we have not seen sh*t. Besides they showed the koenig at a show as well. Wait was the 1/60 monster shown before? NOw that i think abouot it i thinkit was... anyways the point is the koenig is farther along obviously if it comes painted at a show., Well, we havent seen a sculpted VF-19. We did, however, saw a 1/60 monster sculpted.

Well, let's look at it this way: Who else is making 1/48 Valks? No one. Ok, next question on broader terms: Who else is making Valks? Toynami/HG MPCs which are 1/55 and oh, MSRP $80. Now compare the 2: $120 1/48 (avg price w/o FP) or $80 MPC 1/55? 1/48 with fine detail and quality or 1/55 crap quality? Now dont get me wrong, MPCs are not that bad but 1/48 is way much better. The question comes down to which one do you want? Most fans have been pining over a nice detailed scaled and fully transformable Valk. Even better yet, the 1/60s were $80 when the 1/48s were released but you had to take the legs apart to transform the 1/60 Valk.

Looks like it is turning into a thread of "This is what I want Yamato to make 1/48". Anyways, from my understanding, they are not making any more released valks. That means the VF-1S Roy, Hikaru, VF-1A Max, Hikaru are done for now. I seriously doubt that Roy will be like the Low Vis. Low Vis was made on a limited basis (as to how many, I dunno and I dont think anybody knows.). Speculation on what Yamato's future releases, I think they will go by their 1/60 release. So far so good except the release of the low vis for the 1/48 and 1/60 TRU release. If they do go by that schedule, we will see a CF. Now at this point, 2 seater valks is in the air. As much as I would like to get the Ostrich, we have not heard much about the 2 seaters. Since our informant has been cutoff, we can speculate till the cows come home. As for the VF-19 FP, I dunno. Kinda like we saw the 1/60 monster but afterwards we have heard nothing. It seems that Yamato is transitioning to Macross Zero stuff as well. I sincerely hope that Yamato reconsider on the VF-0 "Take-apart" transformable 1/100 scale. We all know the VB-6 1/100 Koenig Monster is coming but are we sure? Based on the track record of the VF-19 FP and 1/60 Monster, we were waiting in anticipation but POOF, we have heard Jack and crap... and Jack left town.

Actually I suck at it right now. My first real custom was DYRL Kaz. Now it looks good but I started on the TV Max and I am in the middle of stripping and start over. I would like some pointers, too. Right now I use enamels. Why? Because they (as in Testers Model Master)have the colors I need. I use spray paint but I need practice on it.

Any live action anime of mecha needs to die. Hollywood already screwed up too many movies with anime, video games movies. I would hate to see crap CG effects. Like most movie adaptations are sucking. I rather not see a good anime turn into a bad movie.

Hence why I get my toys now before I get married. Then again, I need to do step 1: Get a GF. Then again, I guess 39 1/48s is a little much.

I much prefer the TV because of the character development. DYRL was great for the details of the equipement and valks.

BTW, USS JFK is CV-67. Anything that denotes a "N" mean Nuclear. Yes I remember that show Supercarrier. I got the book that the TV show was based on as well. It was cool at the time but I think it is lame now. The book was better since it was the author writing his time on being on a carrier.
