I dunno about you all but I came from robotech fan base. Only recently say about (5 years ago) did I turn to Macross only to realized what BS they put the stories together. I would assume that most here on this site converted over to Macross from the Robotech. We have to admit that it was Robotech that got us started. As for the toys, I have to admit I have buyer's remorse on the MPC Veritechs. I thought how cool it was till I got the MPC Rick (what a disappointment) but I still bought them (at a lesser price thanks to ebay) because the cool box and it wasnt that bad but still I wouldnt pay that MSRP price. Anyways, I always thought the 1/60s were a step up. 1/48s are a major step up. I sold most of my 1/60 extras and the rest are sitting in my office. I have to admit the MPCs are pretty shoddy at best but IMHO, better than the bootlegs (contrary to popular opinion). Now there was some hope for the MPC Alphas... I have mixed feelings about it but no real buyer's remorse. The Alphas were a step up from the MPC Veritechs despite the horror stories I hear about the MPC Alphas. However, it is hopefult they will make an Beta that will fit the MPC Alpha... small hope. Overall, Yamato is way better than Toynami. For now, just get the 1/48s and be done with it.

In the comics, Larry had to kill off some Joes in #111. The reason was that he was pressured to kill of the characters for the new characters by Hasbro. He did an interview explaining that if he killed off the joes, he included his favorite Doc. He really didnt want to do it. I hated that he had to. I like the old joes. New ones sucked royally. The Joe movie was not good but I love the opening scene. You can listen here: G.I.Joe Opening theme. That Cobra-La crap was idiotic and they turned Cobra Commander into a snake. Good lord... Then DIC came out and phucked it up with Dragon Fire and newer episodes. Then Hasbro FUBAR'd it more when they start introducing Ninja force, Eco-warriors, etc... As for the TF movie, I wanted to walk out of the movie when they started killing off the originals. That was depressing, then Optimus Prime died... OMFG I almost went nuts. And then you had the annoying Hotrod turned into Rodimus... The reason why they killed off the original TFs was to make room for the new TFs coming. God, I couldnt and cant forgive Hasbro...

Well, I am not sure I will get these. I have been debating about it. If I do buy it, it wil not be the buying binge I did before. But the repaints that look bleh... I dunno. I'll have to think about it while on my business trip to Shanghai. I have been holding out for the 2 seaters but I dont forsee them coming.

I have to agree with sithlord on this. But I like it though.
