I am glad they are responding to the issue of the broken stands. That is a step in the right direction in dealing with issues like these. They should if they want to continue. As mechaninac said they dont deserve pity. They should have tested it further and identified issues. Now if they took it as a risk if they knew about the problem then they pay the price. If toys are macross, they go here in the toys sections. If it deals with Robotech, it goes into the Other Anime section. At least that is what I understand from the rules. Just because it is Toynami, it goes into the other section? Look at the Hikaru man doll thread. Where did that end up? Frankly I still think they are fugly. I saw them in the anime shop when I was back in Seattle. I looked at it and the guy was saying it was great and trying to get me to buy it. For $30, I said hell no. Upon further inspection, it looked funky to me. Proportions are wacked. Sure I dont like Toynami and their QC. But as an objective observer, the valk doesnt look right. Does it cloud my judgement ifI have felt jilted on the MPCs I bought from them even thought I bought them at way below retail price for all of them except one? Maybe. Is it because I dont trust them anymore? You damn right I dont. I feel my money should go elsewhere. I agreed with Exo whether or not The only good thing I can say is that they did a great job on the Voltron MPC. The MPC Alphas were step up but still fell below my expectations. But I am digressing since this thread is about the 1/100. You guys have your opinions that it is beautiful and I have my opinion that it is fugly. Whether or not you trust me because of the statements I made about the 1/100, that is your problem.

If you go to Costco, (for those who are Costco members) You get white box 360 with extra wireless controller, play and charge kit, and Project Gotham Racing 3 for $454.99.

Buddy, pal. You making any more missiles? I need them for my F/A-18. I dunno why they put so many drop tanks on this plane.

Toydeals888 is getting the price. I dont know why it is taking so long. As for YF-19, isnt is suppose to be a 2 seater? IIRC, it was a 2 seater that Isamu ejected that techie.

Well Graham has been flaunting his knowledge (which he wont share) on what is coming. Remember he said macross goodies are coming.

AYE. I have to agree with Kensei here.

I will have to agree with Exo on this. As much I want to see Rand on the cover, I am skipping them. No offense to you toynami "fanboys" but I am spending money elsewhere. If the beta did come out, I would have bought it because I wan the hookup and transformation and all. Oh well. Until their track record improve on macross stuff (not voltron, mind u), I will think about it. But as it stands, Toynami will not get my money for anything else robotech/macross/Mospeada/Southern Cross.

Man those pics are awesome. I am glad I waited before I commented. Graham, you were right. CAD vs prototype... CAD didnt do it justice.

*Darth Vader's voice* I find your lack of faith disturbing.

That blue is better looking for the ABs Darker blue tone is much better than the blue currently on the ABs. I have to say that the blue on that is not really that bright for the Blue Angels. Here is my custom BA I did a while back. See the rest here.

Yeah I am interested in that as well. Those lifts are great to have dioramas.

Too bad. All Japan based MWers bring back many pics.

Aint that the truth! Accept no substitute. Go with the 1/48.

Yeah I have to say that is the absolute worse thing that would be in all 3 modes. I was looking for a pic of it. I use to have 2 of them. Good lord, what was I thinking when I was 14 at the time? Here you go admitidly this one has a missing arm and the funny back pack that some of them had but here you go, I really couldnt be bothered to get my Roy one down from where it is glued. 425395

Maybe this is a Toynami hater talking here but Toynami's track record is already bad enough. I am seriously disappointed with the MPC Veritechs. Sure the Book style is awesome but the valk is woefully lacking. Alpha was a somewhat improvement although that is debatable on whoever you talk to here. Now the crowning jem for Toynami is the Voltron MPC. I am actually impressed on the quality but remember this product aint Robotech nor Macross. As for the man doll, I am skipping it. Wanna cry highway robbery, IMO this would be it. $80 for a man doll? No offense but I have GI JOE 12" figures like Flint for way less than that and look just as good. Yes the fig is cool but way too high in my opinion. But I am digressing. All I am saying that for me, no more shoddy toys despite it maybe one of its kind or it is Macross. I am just saying I am being selective and the 1/48s and upcoming 1/60s would be it for me. If I collecting anything macross whether the product sucked or not like Baneprestos, I think it would just be plain stupid. As I have said before it is a hobby not an obsession. But hey, whatever floats yer boat. I am not against it that you buy 1/100 valks. You want to support shoddy stuff, by all means, go right ahead. It just means to me it encourages more shoddy stuff to be produced. After looking at the 1/100, the fighter mode is just fugly and way off scale.

Answer is 1/48 for Battroid 1/48 for Gerwalk 1/48 for fighter

So then the only Valks you'll collect from now on will have to be at least as good as the 1/48s? We're talking a 1/100 scale toy that you can throw away if it breaks... why would anyone ever bother to equate, relate, or compare the two? I don't mind the people who say it's their preference to only collect the very best example of the valk to date (the 1/48 at the moment) but don't start implying other people are stupid for not being elitists. Why would you buy a Saturn if you own a Ferrari? Maybe because you just love racing and you don't always feel like competing in the same race every day... or maybe you like owning a car that can get door dings at the grocery store without costing you an arm and a leg... or maybe you want a car with better gas mileage... or maybe you want a car that you don't have to worry about being stolen... or maybe.... The rubber connection on the stand does appear to be weak. I'm not using the stand myself but it does seem to be pretty flimsy. Maybe someone can come up with an easy household variety fix. 423643 the answer is yes. And the whole thing about the ferrari was a joke, and even then a ferrari owner would never get a saturn... I'd downgrade to a 1/55 (mercedes benz) if anything. You act like people shouldn't express they're opinion if they disagree with you but you're doing the exact same thing by being offended and making it seem like people that think otherwise shouldnt speak up. I don't believe in throw away toys. I might as well throw away money right into the garbage. And yes... you're right. These are throw away toys. There, we agree. 423645 Ok, my point is that if you buy 5 of the 1/100, you know what? That is the same amount to a 1/48. yes I think 1/48 is creme la creme, cream of the crop. So you buy 5 POS when you can get a good quality stuff. Let's face it folks: we have to be selective. I dont go buy every damn Macross stuff that comes out. And as we all know space is a premium. Right now I need to be selective. We all collect other things. My question is why collect junk when there is better things to collect.

After what I am seeing, I am gald I skipped out on these. I have to agree with Exo. Why get them when you have the 1/48s.
-
I voted YF-19. I like the -21 but that baby is first on my list. VF-11 is low on my list as it is my least favorite.

1/35 Master grades Patlabors are awesome. I have mine standing beside the MP-01 Optimus Prime. I think the labors would be the same scale with prime.
