ThreeZero ROBOTECH (Macross) Toys

I was able to get one from a local shop here in SoCal, Maybang Collectibles, at regular MSRP. Overall, its pretty good but I have a few concerns. It lacks any ratcheting joints so it may not hold poses very well in the future. The hardpoints under the wings only attach the missiles with pressure. It isn't like Yamato toys that click into place. The display stand doesn't lock the toy into place like the DX Chogokins do and the toy simply rests on the appropriate adapter. The stand will hold the toy in battroid and fighter mode okay, but it doesn't do too well in gerwalk and could topple over if too much weight is shifted forward. ThreeZero did a good job with the paint and detail application. I didn't see any overpaint or blurry lines on the unit that I got. The toy is hefty with a lot of the weight at the legs making it easier to stand. In my opinion, the Bandai DX Chogokins are still a better toy and I admire them in my display cabinet while I have this one on my desk to play around with. At $150 AND comes with a 1-year warranty in North America, it's a great option for someone just starting a collection or doesn't want to spend too much. -
The Alien/Predator/Aliens vs. Predator Thread

So who's getting the popcorn bucket from AMC tomorrow? -
It looks like the "Popoye" version of a Valkyrie with those beefy arms and legs.
-
Mine is gonna stay in Battloid form because I'm too afraid to try changing it back with how stiff those leg ball joints are.
-
Will that work in the U.S. for the premium web shot exclusives like the VT-1?
-
Did you tighten the screws on the legs? My 25G Michael Renewal was floppy too around the hips until I messed around with the screws. Unfortunately I couldn't do anything about the swinging shoulder joints. I was thinking nail polish but it would probably leave a mark.

Finally got my shipping confirmation today from Yoyakunow. I'm still trying to decide what mode to display the Ostrich in.

I wouldn't buy anything from their site right now... the bankruptcy happened fairly recently so there's no telling if they'll be able to fulfill your order or even offer a refund. The site is probably still up because their web hosting service hasn't expired yet. https://www.tctmagazine.com/additive-manufacturing-3d-printing-news/latest-additive-manufacturing-3d-printing-news/shapeways-ceases-operations-and-files-for-bankruptcy/ https://www.cgchannel.com/2024/07/3d-printing-firm-shapeways-files-for-bankruptcy/ https://3dprint.com/311136/shapeways-executives-resign-as-3d-printing-service-files-for-bankruptcy/

Since Shapeways went out of business, is there an alternate site/method to getting those replacements shoulders for the 1/60 Yamatos?

vf-1 valkyrie Yamato 1/48 DYRL VF-1S - hands question
rsvictor1976 replied to Apok451's topic in Toys
Someone made third party cartoon hands and were selling them at the time. I’m not sure if those are still around. -
So I looked over the manual posted on Tamashii’s website after seeing all these broken head radars. I had always assumed it had the same mechanism as the HMR version. Were they broken because people assumed it worked like the HMR and tried to swivel the radar antenna around instead of the entire head itself?
-
That’s pretty good.

ThreeZero ROBOTECH (Macross) Toys

I want one of these but July was an expensive month for me and I’ve already splurged on enough stuff I shouldn’t have. -
Do the legs with the super parts on not attach at all to the tabs on the back plate for fighter mode in this video, or did she just do it wrong?
-
So far Yoyakunow is okay to buy from in my book. I think part of the problem is they seem to have limited staff and everyone contacts them (I'm guilty of this too) for updates on their orders and they just don't have the man power and time to deal with both packaging orders and answering emails.
-
I'm scared of transforming this toy now and accidentally mishandling the antenna, specially since a lot of it requires to handle the plane upside down.
-
Holy crap! The ball joints attaching the legs to the pelvis are super tight. I can’t even pose them without moving the metal swing bars by accident.
-
Thanks, good to know.

I got my YF-21 today from Yoyakunow and am happy to report the antenna was straight as an arrow. A couple of questions though, was the YF-21 suppose to come in the brown P-Bandai shipper box? Also, I asked Yoyakunow to take a picture of the antenna before shipping it to me to verify it was good but I noticed the box I received had the big round clear tape sealing both ends of the box. I always thought the tape was something Bandai puts on so was expecting the box to be unsealed already.

I have an order from Yoyakunow still pending too. They’re all waiting for their shipment from Tamashii Nation according to the email I got from them.
-
WOW, now I’m really curious to see what condition you got your VT-1 in.
