    Man, after reading that Phileweb review article about the new 4k release, I have a feeling a lot of people are gonna be disappointed that they took out some of the graininess.     That Max figure looks terrible! What doesn’t make sense to me is someone had to approve that final design. How did they go from that prototype that actually looks like Max to some random looking guy wearing seaweed on their head and clown shoes?

    The English version is the same. Also the ball joint was even scarier attaching it to the figure in power armor mode.

    I ended up getting one to use strictly for the VF-1J. I wonder if Bandai will release a standalone version with that red stand they pictured in the Vermillion squadron photos.

    Man I wish I could attend that screening in Shinjuku. I remember going to that theater during my visit to Tokyo and seeing Black Panther there. There was this great izakaya place next to that Godzilla hotel I stayed at that had great food and beer.

    Okay the manual is pretty useless when it comes to instructions on transforming the ride armor. The pictures are just really bad and have the worst angles. I had to look at a YouTube video to figure it out. I’m sure @jenius will make a better transformation guide. Despite what the few reviews I’ve seen says, I haven’t been able to stand the unit on its own and have to use the magnetic base.

    Also some of the pictures in the manual didn’t make sense. Like this one shows to attach the thigh armor on the rear peg but doing so would of misaligned the entire piece with the wheel and the other side. This one says to pull down the peg in front of the engine when in reality, the peg pulls up.

    This thing is massive! I love the magnet base. It’s pretty sturdy. I haven’t transformed it but I did find one issue with my unit. I’m not sure if it’s just on mine but the forearm missiles/armor doesn’t line up when in motorcycle mode. I didn’t see any indication that in could be rotated either. I need to play around with it some more.

    It's kind of silly that their own team doesn't know how to handle their own toy and fold the backpack/thrusters the right way.

    $100 for 7 inch non-transforming figure seems excessive to me. I'll probably pass on these. The gimmicks are neat but probably something I'll never use while displaying them. And why is the Deluxe pack the only way to get the pilot? You would think Rick Hunter in the pilot seat would be a given part of the figure. They should of added something else in the deluxe set like a special stand.

    I got it from the Sahra branch since it was the only one with availability. I had to use EMS for this one just because the price difference between DHL and EMS was huge. Sadly enough I also bought another Hi-Metal R figure and used EMS on it as well and I think it's taking longer. I read somewhere that EMS seems to deliver items faster the bigger the package are. But let's face it, the biggest enabler in this forum is @jenius with his reviews. Pictures...

    That sucks. I had a similar experience when I bought the Alto VF-25F Revival on Amazon. They sent me one that was a return that had the older Renewal version in it.
