I haven’t been keeping up on Macross toys lately. What’s the general consensus on the Bandai VF-31s and SV-262? Are any of them worth buying? Any problems with them? Is there going to be a renewal release? What’s a good price for one? Do they come with separate armor you have to buy? Sorry for for all the questions, I just need a quick crash course on these toys before I leave Tokyo.

I think the gerwalk statue looks fine. This is going to probably be the most epic item from Macross/Robotech. Those Sideshow statues are highly collectible and go up in value quite a bit. Not to mention that this thing is almost 3 feet tall for Gerwalk mode, no wonder it’s $1500.

I don't understand what she's saying, but the girl in yellow sounds funny. Is she a voice actress? The reactions she makes reminds me of an anime character.

I'm all for new Macross toys, but this series was so bad that it needs to be buried and forgotten like those Atari E.T. cartridges.

Kawamori's crazy for making a race with penises on their heads. And whats up with all the "wind" nonsense? It's like one bad fart joke after another.

I keep seeing fixes for the loose hip joints, but was there a fix for the loose shoulder on the renewals?

Anyone know if the reactive armor will be available separately only or will Arcadia provide a Valkyrie/armor set like they did with the VF-1J armored?

Has anyone gotten the new 1/60 VF-1J Hikaru Ichijyou yet? Can you confirm if it has the crappy pins or the smooth one? I really want to get a 1/60 Armored but have been scared away after hearing they were using old stock with bad pins. If the only way to avoid this is to buy the armor and valkyrie seperately, I'm willing to spend the extra bucks. *Edit* I just noticed theres also a new version of the VF-1J with armor parts. According to HLJ, the new part number is YMT00198 compared to the original which was YMT00176. Can anyone confirm if the new version has the smooth pins?

It's only been 2-3 months and I wish I hadn't spent so much on the Bandai Macross Frontier valkyries.

I recently purchased the GE-44 VF-25G Messiah Michael Custom. Everything was fine except for one piece from the display stand it came with was missing some parts that held it up on battloid mode. I also own the 7 VF-25S Armored Messiah Ozma Custom so I knew which piece was missing. This is from the GE-47 VF-25S Armored Messiah Ozma Custom and is what it should look like: This is what I got with the GE-44 VF-25G Messiah Michael Custom: Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions on how I can get a replacement?

Radeon 4770 or 4850 are comparable in performance. It also depends on how much video RAM you have on the card. A safe bet would be to go with the 4870 but then you need to make sure you have a compatible power supply.

I don't know what big fuzz is about this model. I mean yes, it's huge, but it doesn't seem to have alot of detail. The Wave SDF has more details than this. Unless I'm not seeing the details well on the pics... But congratulations anyways to anyone that bought this...

I got mine today. I must say that unlike the current problems with the VF-1# shoulders, this toy is amazing. I wish more Yamato figures were like it.

I can't believe we spend so much money on these defective toys. Yamato has been doing this to us for a long time now and we keep coming back to spend more.

I ordered a VF-11B. When I purchased it, the description on the web site said it was In Stock. Plus from the pros and cons I've been reading on this thread, people are saying they don't charge you until the item is shipped so I figured the item was on it's way.

I saw these on HLJ. They were released in December 2009. Regarding HLJ, you guys mention they don't charge your card until the item is shipped. I orderd something on Jan 5th and my card was charged on Jan 6th. Their web site still shows the item is being processed for shipment though. Is this normal? I already sent an email to inquire about it but I thought i'd get your feedback.

I'm seeing alot of Wave SDF-1 Movie Colors on eBay. I was thinking of getting one but I'm not sure if I should. How can I tell if it's a cheap knock off?

Well, I haven't been on these forums for a while nor have I purchased a Yamato Macross figure since the 1/48s. When I saw the The VF-1S 1/60, I just had to get one. Unfortunately, the first time I tried to transform mine, a little piece of the shoulder pin chipped off. Same as descibed by others. What ticks me off is there wasn't even any forceful play involved. The damn thing just chipped off as soon as I swung the right arm open. Anyways, here is a picture taken from my not so great camera. I feel kind of ripped off now.

So is this a common problem then?

I just got a VF-0S. The marking on the helmet off center. Does anyone have an extra pilot they are willing to sell?

Yeah, my 1/48 Roy is at work right now. No access to nail polish. No girlfriend currently so I'm gonna have buy some at the local market during my lunch break.

I just got the VF-0S. I did a forum search for any problems with the VF-0S and could only find topics about the legs. Anyways, I noticed the emblem on Roy's helmet is a little off center. Is this normal? Any ideas on how I can replace it?
