Engaging story, relatable characters, and catchy soundtrack aside, all I really want from a Macross series is some serious VALK ACTION! And no, not more scissoring please. Hire a better mecha action director for the next series. -

Only have the F91 for now. EVA 01 is coming next month. If they start making more UC Gundams, I'll probably get more interested.

At this point in time, all I want from Bandai is for them to release Arad's armor and/or super pack, as well as Chuck's VF-31E and super pack. But I wouldn't mind a DX YF-21 or VF-22 down the road, including fast packs. A v.3 VF-25 sounds good, but not desirable for me for practical and budget considerations. I would be amenable for Bandai to release some kind of clip-on missile hard points for the renewals, ala the v.1. I know its less than ideal, but at least it will be less expensive than replacing my entire Frontier Skull Squadron.

Those are the super packs from the TV series. The super packs usually came out several months after their valk was released. With the announcement of Arad's Armor Pack during Tamashii Nations 2018 however, we don't know if Bandai is going to release Arad's super pack or armor pack first. Its a waiting game now until the next official announcement. As for whether you can do that pose with the toy, I'll leave that to the other members because I haven't had the time to fiddle with mine.

Still no new pre-order announcements for any new Macross Delta products? Come on Bandai! Where's your Christmas spirit? At least give us an announcement for when the armor pack is going to be released!

Now waiting for the pre-orders for the Robot Damashii 0083 Gundams. -
Are you going for the entire Iron Legion, Noel? The only Iron Legion suits that I'm interested in are the Silver Centurion and possibly Heart Breaker. Maybe the Mark 9 too, if Bandai decides to make it.

If the new Lildraken pack does come with the adapters for the VF-31, then that makes it a pretty tempting offer. One reason I'm holding back from buying it is because I thought you needed the movie version VF-31F for the adapters. Also, I'm somewhat tapped out for now and can't afford to get them since NY has no pay later option for them. Times like these, I wish HLJ also had access to exclusive Tamashii products.

If Bandai does have the armor pack for the Kairos planned, I hope they release Arad's custom 31A Kairos first. That's the combo I have in mind.

In the final episode of the TV series, the surviving members of Delta plattoon all had reaction missiles equipped with their super packs. So its reasonable to expect that Chuck's DX might come packaged with reaction missiles as well. Note that only Arad and Hayate's 31Kai valks came with the missiles packaged. Mirage's valk did not come with the missiles, but the latter were packaged with her super pack. The question now is if Arad and Chuck's supers will still be released, given that Bandai chose to show off the armor pack first.

Okay, now I'm getting confused. In the illustrated cover of Macross Delta's Blu ray, Chuck's missile covers colors are matched with his valk (like the rest of Delta platoon), while Arad's retains the red orange color, although its much lighter orange. I know the illustration is not canon (at least for now. Maybe the armored Delta platoon will make its debut in the next Delta movie), but it bothers me that Arad's would be the only one whose armor packs are not properly color coded to his valk. (You know you've become a true MWorlder once you start nitpicking about a valk's color. )

Sooo, I was looking intently at the pics of the DX VF-31 armor pack on Arad's ride, and was getting more and more bothered by that bright orange color on the missile covers. So much so that I went back and checked the screencaps from the movie. It seems that the actual color used is more red orange rather than bright orange. Also, the missile covers on Chuck's armor is olive drab! I really didn't notice that before: I hope that Arad's super pack is still in the pipeline for Bandai. I like the custom color matching of the supers better than the armor packs, although I'm really an armor fan at heart.

I've been lurking this thread from time to time to see if there's any new info or announcement of the new Macross series. So there's no news at all? I understand there's going to be another Delta movie instead? -
And another two to three months for his super and/or armored pack to come out. Hehe!

Whoa! Are those 3d printed and hand painted? Reminds me of those Japanese craftsmen who do engravings on raw rice grains and make micro sushi out of single grains of cooked rice.

I'm pretty disappointed that Arcadia did not do the VF-4 in Flashback colors before Bandai. I had wanted to get it in 1/60 scale. That's three missed opportunies already Mr. K! But please do still consider re-releasing the Elintseeker and Super Ostrich in 1/60. In the meantime, those collecting Bandai's HMR can enjoy this latest release.

Bumping these pics up for comparison with the pic from Macross Mecha Manual. The more I look at it, the more the orange seems in-congruent with Arad's color scheme. For me, the covers should have been the same color as the red on the shoulder armor.

It seems that the missile covers are indeed a shade of orange, through not as orange as with the actual toy. For some reason, my mind remembered it as red. I still wish it were the same shade of red as the one used in Arad's valk. The orange looks out of place to me.
