Thanks Shawn! Coby...you know...I agree....my only real problem with him is his communication. I think this is a very kind, patient group...but we also expect some amount of consideration. I shouldnt have to be calling him to get an update....a simple note in Japanese once every 2-3 months with a timeline we can count on would be fine. "Gentlemen, sorry for all the delays...I now hope to be finished by... etc" I dont know...his work is amazing...I was looking at the Catseye last night in wonder...wow...what a kit...I just wish this had not been such a nightmare...he represented the order as taking about 3-6 months...ah well...enough of my rant. I am going to send off another note today...if I dont hear back in a week I will ask Rob to call for an update. Tanmen expected to act on something by now...lets see what he has done..

Very true Grand Cannon....very cool group of people on this board.

The interesting thing about this is the fact that the Glaug is also represented in Battletech...and as a result gets higher values in the US (for models at least)

Nice work Melissa!!!! We are definitly one step closer!!!!! Based on the other variable kits, the complexity of the transformation, and the size of the kit, it is no suprise that it has a TON of pieces....that alone will make the recast a big project. We should see how many people really want one...and make sure the recaster is willing to do that many. As I am sure CobyWan, MSLZ22, Valkyrie, and others will attest big kits are cool for a while...but once you are making your 15th mold, or pouring pieces for your 15th kit it can get old. It will be cheaper to do if we have a good idea of how many will be seriously purchased....(so the right mold material is used... and the right pricing selected) The $200 range sounds like a good approximation...but I would bet it would go down if the volume was high...or up if it was low. We probably want to not include screws...screws are like religion..and we don't need to have a debate here about what kind should come with the kit. Well...here is hoping...nice work all!

I'm pysched...as this was a good show! IT'S OFFICIAL! FIREFLY MOVIE IS GREENLIGHTED!!! Posted by Haken on Tuesday, March 02, 2004 21:41 Source: Official Firefly Forum TIMES READ: 11350 The following is from Variety. Quote: Whedon's 'Serenity' greenlit U moves forward on sci-fi spinoff By GABRIEL SNYDER Universal Pictures has greenlit "Serenity,'' the feature film based on Joss Whedon's Fox TV series "Firefly,'' which was canceled in late 2002 after just 11 episodes. Deals are in place for Whedon to direct and for the original cast of the TV show to reprise their roles. The pic, budgeted in the mid-eight figures, is scheduled for a June start and should be ready for a 2005 release. After Fox pulled the plug on "Firefly," Whedon struggled to continue the project, speaking with other nets and cablers about the series, then finally turning to studios about a feature version. Universal acquired the feature rights from Fox last fall. Whedon said the pic will be released under the title "Serenity" to give it some distance from the TV version. "It was important that people understand that the movie isn't the series," he said. "The movie is bigger, more epic than anything you can do in a series." To that end, he said he went out of his way while penning the "Serenity" script to make sure that it is accessible to audiences who never tuned into "Firefly." "You're not going to bring people into a movie if you're explaining all the time what happened before," Whedon said. Series was a space oater set 500 years in the future, tracking the journeys of the crew aboard the Serenity. Forthcoming pic is set about six months after the TV show left off, and centers on two passengers on board the ship who attract trouble to the crew. The studio has closed a deal with Nathan Fillion to return as Capt. Malcolm Reynolds. Other original cast members Gina Torres, Morena Baccarin, Jewel Staite, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher and Summer Glau are also in place. Barry Mendel is producing the pic. Chris Buchanan of Mutant Enemy, Whedon's shingle, and Mendel exec Alissa Tager are exec producing. Overseeing the project for U is vice chair Mary Parent. Date in print: Wed., Mar. 3, 2004, Los Angeles

CARL!!! CONGRATS!!!!! I owe you some pictures...probably will have them this weekned. Melissa! GREAT IDEA! Jesse, STOP USING CAPS!!! Hey all...sounds cool on the Monster. I'm wrapped up in a bunch of recast projects right now, which are to big in scope for me to be able to do anything for a while...but if this takes a while I would be happy to volunteer to help. Sounds like Valkyrie is already signed up...but if he needs some help....or gets busy Iwould be happy to volunteer my time. I would love a recast regardless. If I see the kit turn up, or can do anything else...sign me up. Hey Valyrie..got my pressure tank all set up!

NEW Official MPC Thread!!!
Myersjessee replied to FRED THE FRENCH's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Legios, I think the point Captain America is trying to make is that the line art available makes a perfect transformation not possible. The nose is simply to long, and while I like that look, in battroid it looks wrong. John took his model in the direction of the harrier...which I think makes it a valid tradeoff for fighter, battroid, and Gerwalk. Even in your line art, your nose in fighter mode would be very long in battroid unless it was a removable piece. Also, BTW, Yamato didn't do a Legioss...so you must mean Toynami...or IMAI..or GAKKEN. -
DITTO! I can't wait to see how the canopy comes out!
-
I concur.

Gorgeous VF0..thanks Shawn
-
wonderful! Thank you for taking the time Graham!!!

Man...what a sweet ride...I am hoping Yamato does all the jaged yellow swashes in decals....only way Ill be able to get it right!

1 more comparison...1/60 QRau Milla to 1/72 CLUB M Milla...again...scale seems to be off in one or the other. Club M Yamato
-
that...next to this... This would seem to indicate either the Yamato is small, or the Club M is large...regardless...Im really excitied about the toy...as the first non-VF1 of note in a while...and adding in the GBP my 1/60 collection grows more complete...I think, in time, we will all grow to appreciate the hard work Yamato went through to come up with another unique toy....uniqueness....often ='s value and appreciation over the long haul. Consider the bookends...we all said pricey, and not perfect...but now they are nearly unattainable....I wont make that mistake with the QRau...and I hope they sell out!
