  1. I, on the other hand, am selfish....if I get a wish I want to be anle to prototype as fast..not half as fast! { taps ruby spike heels together, "theres no prototyping like Johns, theres no prototyping like Johns"}
  2. Sure John...that sounds easy...'cept for mortals like me who can't even get a piece of play doh symetrical! Man oh man...2 days work....I look at the pictures and feel like a child!
  3. Excellent! Anoter VF1 accessory to augment all my models!
  4. Man oh man John...your flying through it...Im so envious of your skills!
  5. Very cool design..thanks for sharing!
  6. Yep...that was me. The darn "cold" lasted for over a year and a half on and off...I finally had to have surgery...it turned out to be a sinus infection way up in my sinuses. My Dr said he had never seen one so bad. I can't blame it on the resins for sure...but I had never gotten a sinus infection before I started working with resins...and even now I'm not as healthy as I was. Im working in a better area though and wear masks (most of the time at least)
  7. Im the lucky owner of one of Mikes first kits. Ill post some pictures tonight...I promise you Mikes camera (and mine for that matter) can't do this awesome model justice!
  8. No news...sorry. I spoke to Rob this morning. His wife (who is due in a week with their newborn) was going to try and call today or tomorrow. I pity Tanmen to cross a very pregnant woman! Hopefully this will all end soon....I have still not heard directly from Tanmen at all...so I must again thank Monkey Nugget for all of us, or I suspect we would be all out in the cold and forgotten by now. Thanks Rob.
  9. JIMMINY CHRISTMAS!!! Man John...looks AWESOME! Please continue to share progress.
  10. I remember this whole same conversation came up when the 1/60 M&M's were released. I, along with others, were suprised that the leg FP's were not grey matching the FP tips. Tons of pictures were posted supporting both arguments (I think the first 1/60's may have even showed the tips colored in the demo shots.... anyone remember? ) Anyways...the tips were "fixed" but it was determined the legs should be colored...I always liked the color difference on the legs...thus I swapped them.
  11. initial pictures look GREAT!
  12. Definitly nice. These pics show it all. (note the munitions, booster, and the middle picture with panels removed.) and
  13. Yep...the Destroids and the Glaug are a bear. Grayson...in terms of totals, all in all I would be we are about the same..I have other scales, but I dont have multiples of basically anything....Im jealous of how complete your list is!
  14. I would agree with Phadeout on the 19. The 21 also has more details, FP's, and the ability to be built with panels open (as does the 19). The VF1 Club M's are nice..but the others are probably less detailed the the Hasegawa's. The Sculpts are similar, but a little different, but nothing comes to mind on the VE, VT, VF1 Super, VF1, or VF1 Strike that I would say you can't live without...they are nice...but the Hase kits compare favorably. (I have always felt the Club M's are a little more fanciful, and the Hasegawa a little more "real"...for what thats worth. ) Oh...and the 19 also has the fold booster...and both the 19 and 21 have tons of munitions.
  15. wow Grayson...thats quite a lot of work you have lined up for yourself!
  16. Excellent! ...and he moves from straight models to customs....soon scratchbuilds?!?!
  17. ....we are dealing with two points of view....realisitcally (in terms of realism) and reality. from a realistic view....well...nope...no way...I just don't see them being painted per valk...as noted. Then again...realisitcally would they do a white plane with different color stripes for the main characters and all brown planes for the "rest" (Can you imagine...well...Im sorry sir...but we just dont think youll last...you get a cool mecha....but it has to be brown. Whats that you say...a teal stripe...well...maybe. On this topic...lets not forget they are planes that fly in space and transform into robots...and they are based on a cartoon. If you have the technology to do that...perhaps you have the technology to make the missile colors match with the wave of a hand...or with some special paints based on the same technology in those quiz-wiz books my son loves. So...to wrap it up....realism would seem to make you lean towards non-special colored missiles...but as this isn't a real world I would ask yourself...what do you like. If you like them matching...match em. If you dont like em matched...dont match them. If your not sure...match the left wing and rotate the model most daily.
  18. Huge! Wow...Wish could see some details on the sculpt...I was always tempted by the 1/35 and 1/24...but the details (so I heard) were not that great.
  19. Sadly, I think I could use a break from the VF1 line. My vote would be for Yamato to give me and my wallet a 6 month hiatus and work on Mac0 stuff or enemy mecha. Let the 1/48 line settle a bit...then probably the Angel Birds.
  20. My deepest sympathies.
  21. WOW! Man, I love that Isamu!
  22. Kiss ass! Im disapointed in both of you (Conjecture that! )
  23. LOL...now thats low! This is going to be really cool! I can't wait!
  24. And here I was on a mission to buy up all the 19X2's and then when I owned them all sell them and rule the world! DOH! Actually...as surmised later, my disapointment was at the lack of something new. Im personally against rarity in models...because Im selfish. I want them all...and cant afford them all if they are really expensive...my disapointment stems from having 2 each of both of these so I wont need a 3rd. The VF0A addition makes me smile...a bit...but I want the darn D to come out!
  25. Man oh man...what a jerk. Im sorry Rob.
