So...here is my stupid question. ! have 2 Alphas. The external whites boxes for them are numbered 03125 and 00417. The internal books are labeled 03125 and 00001. Did by some mistake I end up with number 1, or is this a silly marketing thing where there are more then 1 number 1?

I got home from vacation to open mine. 2 Alphas...both opened...no missing parts, no floppines....nice toy...Im happy. Thanks Kevin!!!! Love the hands...like the diecast... I did note the tight and worrysome joints people are noting (and noting being broken) Mine are tight but all work through. Does everyones number on the outside white box match the number on the inside cover of the book?

Man oh man...go away for a week and the darn kit gets completed!

neat idea. Any idea what scales your shooting for? As for other decals..hmm...maybe some simple stripes (always helpful in a pinch) and some Zentran or Marduke markings? (kinda like the Wave set)

So..Im watching Macross Zero Ep 4...it finishes...I go to the title...and find this...and just as it gets going my wife walks in and I spend the next 30 minutes trying to explain what Im watching. I would have been better off being caught watching porn.

I think Basara and Mylenes connection requires similar good karma. I have set mine up so many times I have lost count...yet within hours they fall. Luckily, no dog chewing yet.

I asked a casting supply store if I could vac a pressure tank and they said it was reinforced backwards for that...and while I could do it it could collapse so they suggested against it. Obviousley they had a stake in that "solution" as they sold me a vac chamber...but I decided I didn't want to mess around when it comes to implosions or explosions.

When I get back from vacation I should have the cockpit/nose done. Its almost set, Im just stuck making sure the transformation still works. After that, nose gear.

Yep...Im another GenXer and while I have not sold my collection or stopped collecting my enthusiasm is waning. It's lost a bit of it's newnewss and novelty (thus the chorus of comments about enough with the VF1...we want something new) I dont collect for the investment, but I do like the idea of passing on my toys to my son someday. Most likely, he wont want them then...but who knows... In general...while a bit embarassing...my toys make me smile...and thats why I still collect them.

I looked at those to conisder that...but they are too small. The FP's are the same size as the Yammie ones and the solid rockets would need a 10-20% increase.
