Thats a really good point....there would need to be a hing point added to the doors, (since they currently sit flush) but there would be space to add them... Someone will definitly need to make that add on as well. That would be cool. Thanks Rob..Joe definitly made a sweet little kit...and so simple!

So...I just wanted to share what I thought was a cool little upgrade. I really wish I had the talant to visualize and create these types of changes...but I keep hoping someday with practice I will...until then Ill envy all the talanted people here. For those interested ...here is the kit. cannon club parts Its a really cool little thing! Nice work Gundamhead...I can't wait to see what you unveil next! For anyone interested. I have made some molds of the originals and will have a limited number of kits available for sale in the for sale thread here: LINK

Its police baton! (As I remember used for organizing Zentradi)

So...whats the difference? Well...for those of you like me to whom it wasn't obvious...well...its simple. He completely redid and resculpted new: Hips Hands and a Center cannon (The Chest cannon was part of the Spartans major leathal force! ) The hands are different too, with one in a fist, and the other 2 pieces with a seperate thumb, so it can hold onto: ...

Now, after Joes updates:

Couple things to note. Joe comment to me was "It looks like it has ridden to many miles on a horse! " It doesn't look active, or powerful like it should. Its decent enough...just not great. The hands are incredibly lame and useless as well...which was always a differentiating point for the Spartan over the gun/missile armed Tomohawk, Spartan, Defender, and Monster...they should have been more special.

Here's one more thing I have been meaning to do for weeks: When Gundamhead sent me the Spiderbug kit, he also sent along a cool little 1/100 Destroid upgrade kit he completed for the 1/100 Spartan kit. To be frank, while interested I didnt think much of it at first. Then, I finally got a second to check out the original vs his upgrade kit. Now, if your like me, you may have picked up the 1/100 destroids cheaply on Ebay, or MW. Then, you looked at them...where not thrilled with the poseability and quality and set it aside for a rainy day. Thats exactly what I did...but I couldn't put my finger on what I would have needed to do to fix the kit. I think Joe took a huge leap forward with just some very simple mods. First...the original kit. and

Here is a picture of the complete kit. I tried to make sure the cleanness of the casts was evident. This is how it looks right from the shipping package.

When I first saw the thread with the 1/7 Sara model I was very excited to say the least. First, a little about me to set the stage: I’m a thirty something father of two children. My wife is wonderful, my kids are wonderful, and I strive to set a good example. Based mainly on my situation, I have stayed away from most figure models. CMS and other figures have taught me I like to have character figures, but when it comes to models I stayed away rom many because of the way they are often represented. You see, many of these models are of mainly the female anime characters, and many of them are not suitable for kids. I, mostly, feel comfortable watching Macross 0 with my 8 year old son and 3 year old daughter, but I would not be comfortable displaying a kit depicting Sara as a bodacious vixen or worse (many times much much worse). (as much as I appreciate vixens! J ) So, I stayed away. Then comes along this perfect little kit. It’s anime accurate, and depicts Sara as I saw her. A heroine, attractive, but also strong, and torn. A kit that is well done, accurate, and acceptable...all awesome things! (holy iliteration batman! ) The kit comes with lots of cool added details. Of the few figure kits I do have, I’ve been burned a couple times. I'm normally sucked in by finished shots that show details that are all paint. In this kit that isn’t the case. The fine detailing of her dress, amulet, and beadwork are all finely etched into the actual resin kit. This detail will make it a lot easier for me to paint accurately and effective. Even the eyes are clearly outlined. I think I may fill them in with a clear resin to get a cool shine to her eyes…and this is so much easier with the kit detail as opposed to me trying to paint to matching eyes on a flat face. The kit is simple, with only 14 pieces. I do like the fact that the details like the amulet are separate and easy to paint and then attach. The kit is crisply cast. I don't see any airbubbles, no flash, and only minimal pour sprues which will be easy to clip and sand. Holes have been preset so I know exactly where to put pins for the legs and arms. This is a great kit, which I fully endorse. Our very own cwmodels is the creator, and should be contacted if you would be interested in obtaining the kit.

LOL...at this rate 3 models a year would be an upgrade! I hope to change that this year though! -

Its the Musasiya kit....the original and recasts appear from time to time. The SAP is buildable on, or off. I suppose if you spent the time you could build it detachable, but the legs have to switch positions, so you would need to articulate them. -
Wow! Great detail...love the time they spent on the guts from behind. I second Carl's question...whose kit is this?
-
mmmmm.... Dont be a tease...do tell...

There is detail, but it's sparse considering the size, and there isn't a pilot. I had never thought of making it tinted...I'll surely steal that idea! (THANKS KURT!! )
