At the recent wonderfeast show Yamato had the Focker LV. Only change that is noticeble is the colour of the kite, it went from that dark pale red to a grey, which in my view looks better.

Hobbysearch recently got new stock of it, so it can be presumed it's the newer version?

My word, if Zero is dumb then what is Macross 7? Well for me, I'm actually hoping for a total overhaul of the original series. It's too outdated in animation. Not saying change the script, or the episode structure, just the visuals. I would really like it if they implement the 3D style of Zero or at least of Fronteir. If not, then maybe a sequel to Frontier but encountering a larger Zentradi threat from another galaxy, or even the supervision army would be a nice addition? And should they make this sequel, it would be interesting to see if the technology of the VF-27's cockpit will become a standard for future Valk designs? Please no more magical creatures, or giant bugs.

LOL... enjoyed reading through this. Anyway, after thinking about it, I’m still not for this series. Yes the VF-17 is pretty even though I prefer the longer nosed VF-171, and without a doubt Mylene is probably one of the strongest female characters in the Macross Universe. With that said a Mylene or Rex figure with cast away would be tempting. Though I’m a selective collector, and when I show pieces, I like to give them a background description of their origins. The story of Macross 7 just shudders me. The giant magical creatures, how Exodur fits in the bridge, how Max is so indecisive, and the whole singing becoming an AT field... just isn't for me... For me Macross is about three important elements. The Valks, people dealing with life within the military, and an appeal for the enemy’s technology and motives. Macross 7 for me doesn’t have either of the last two. And what’s up with everyone needing to sing. It felt more like a musical than a Macross series? LOL And yip ignorance is bliss, and leaving this series as an alternative Universe. As for the Valks, there's too many others that appeal more to me from the other series. And glad to see I’m not completely alone.

I think you do know more than the producer. I cannot believe Kawamori came up with this. I'm still stunned. And dreading the thought if Yamato would to ever consider in making those DBZ magical creatures...

Dragon type giant characters, furry elves that fly through space, space whales, metal peircing speakers, slow plot... For a while I thought I was watching Drag-on Balls dipped into Gundam and acid... Almost put me off the whole of Macross... And nope, not my loss... my gain so I can watch something else and buy other stuff. LOL

Initially I tried before, but couldn't beyond the frist few episodes. Now I just went through the series, and the movies... and the WTF! Surely this can't be considered as part of the MAcross universe? Anyway, I lost total interest in any Macross 7 Valks. And curious to know who else won't be buying any cause this series struggles to fit in the with the feel of DYRL, original TV and Zero... IMO.

If it was a DYRL version in the greyish plastic instead of the bright white, then I would have been cool with it. But it's fine with me, just a bit disappointed they went with the bright white, especially on the armour as it won't look 100% nice when on the DYRL Valks. Alas, I'm still sold for it, but not this year. Too many other pre-orders...

Well in the episode it appears in, the damn visor changes colour numerous times in a few seconds. Though afterwards remains white... then blue... then grey... then white again. It's as if the animation studio got a new colourist for every frame... or was drinking. Though every other episode, the TV 1J does have the white visor? LOL

Now what is it based on? It has the mechanical hands and dark grey border around the visor like DYRL, but appears to be that bright white from TV series Yamato using.

Not announced yet, a re-release 1/60 VF-0A Shin (All faults fixed), 1/60 VF-0D, V2 Stealth 1J. Announced and pre-ordered, Yamato 1/60 VF-1S LV, V2 Max and Millia 1J. And a 1/60 VF-25S but only if made by Yamato.

It could very well be that VF-0 repaint. I would be so happy with that.

Firstly, thanks to everyone for your input. Very intense and sticky read. Got another question. Macross Frontier is to be released Dubbed? If this is the case, does it mean that Bandai is going to pay royalties to HG? Also onto the whole copyrighting names and etc like Macross and UN Spacey. This pretty soon can be gone... Reason being is that lately every pharmaceutical company is copyrighting every DNA structure and gene of humans and animals. Very bastard but it's forcing who ever needs to state or study a particular gene, they have to pay royalties. Sick huh? Now apparently the EU is trying to stop this, and are considering of designing new laws at least in the EU, which means copy protecting cannot be implemented unless if it's the original creator. Since there's no scientific proof of who created people and animals and nature, no one can own them. And no one has to pay to use terminologies and etc. Now if this law goes into place, there's the corporate fear that any original work on any spread, can only be copy protecting and owned by the original creator. OK, maybe I watch too many conspiracy films of politics and economics. LOL

I'm on the theory that space is an endless sheet of paper. And the fold terminology derived from the theory of pinpointing one area on the sheet, and another somewhere else on the sheet, and then warping or "Folding" the sheet so the two points meet, and a doorway is formed when they connect. So in concept, the traveling or movement effect is not the distance between the two points on the unfolded sheet of space, but instead the transfer of matter between "folded" space. Light speed can also be viewed like this, though maybe instead of folding it's space compressing like sponge in velocity.
