-
here one (Note its a modified VF-1A with a S head) cos mine is MISB-SP till i have my own place and glass cabinets installed. Cheers
-
It would be better if they extended the depth of the box instead of the length. We could be seeing a new range of boxes used by yamato for shipping the 1/48 VF-1Js /Fps. Cheers
-
Yah you are rite, cos its isnt a model afterall. Maybe Yamato used better glue this time round. Cheers
-
Hmm, wondering when will Graham give us his reviews on the new 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru? I examined the valk while at Noel's shop, the head seam on the S head is gone, havent yet got the chance to check the gap at the fuselage area when the landing gears are deploy. The skull insigna on the wind are straight too. Cheers

Thats scary thought to think about especially when we have put in huge amounts for the 1/60 1/72 and 1/48 series that we collect. Maybe we should wear surgical gloves when handling our 1/60s , 1/72s and 1/48s. Anyone had any ideas what cause yellowing besides UV, oxidaization and oils from our hands? Thanks i would be interested to know more. Thanks Hey toonz, if you are looking at this thread, have you valks start to yellow? I guess this problem of yellowing is worse especially in a hot and humid country like Singapore. Cheers

To be clear, the picture you posted was the Hikaru VF-1A, but I think I see what you mean. However, I don't know if there is anything to it. I mean, they are supposed to be the same pilot so they are obviously going to resemble one another. But like I said in my edited post, I don't know why Yamato would make two different molds and then flip-flop. Maybe the use of different resin makes them look different and the prototype was rubbery...but I don't think it's really anything to speculate too long about...in the long run I don't think it means anything special. Although, this does mean that Yamato will either eventually have to release a new and improved Max VF-1S or include a free rubbery resin Max DYRL pilot in some future release. Yes true, Prototypes especially pertaining to intricate details or small parts or parts of different material are usually modelled by the designer himself and would be usually different from that of being mass produced. Cheers

ahh yes Draykov, maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me at this time of the nite. Its already past midnite here, cant wait to wake up tomorrow and catch the final installment of Matrix in the cinemas here. Cheers

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question. If you mean "Will the reissue Roy VF-1S/Hikaru VF-1A come with the rubbery pilots?" I think the answer is yes. Hmm let me rephrase the question. What i meant was that new 1/48 pilot figurine featured in the VF-1S Hikaru and upcoming reissues bears a striking resemblance to that of the pilot figurine shown in the first 1/48 VF-1S prototype in the pictures shown above, which is different from that of the first 3 1/48 variants that went into mass production.

I noticed something about the pilots figurines in the 1/48 series. From the pictures of the prototype, it seems to resemble that seen in the 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru. Any comments

Hi, Special Thanks to Noel for getting the 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru in so early this month. Boy was i elated by receving my first VF-1S, its just so beautiful and menacing looking especially with the Fps. Another surprise i got was the mother of all Holy Grails, a beautiful poster of the DYRL series with a picture of Minmei in the back. I believed Noel did put up the poster for sale during the recent Macross Con. Its mine now thanks to Noel, i have been looking for this poster everywhere. Cant wait to get my 2nd 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru and the reissue VF-1S Roy. Cheers

Here are my favourites in the order of preference: 1) VF-17 D/S Nightmare 2) VF-1S Hikaru (Strike) 3) VF-1S Roy (Strike) 4) VF-19 D/S Excalibur Looks great in battroid and fighter, but VF-1 tops by looking good in all modes. Main thing common about my choices, are the head sculpt, simply beautiful and menacing! Cheers

Yep, I'll be doing a review when I get mine, hopefully later this week as soon as I get paid Actually, it is my favorite VF-1, so I'll be buying 3. Graham Gosh Graham, you are buying 3 of the 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru? I really ency ya living in Hong Kong where toys prices are cheap and affordable. Im going to get two only, one for displaying and playing with and another MISB. Hope you get yours soon, cant wait to see your reviews. Cheers

Yes i agree Takatoys and Devin produce top notch after-market stickers for the 1/60, 1/48 series, which are durable and strong yet has a better appearance than those of yamato stock stickers. Hey devin, please inform me when you are ready to start on the 1/48 stickers for the valkyries as well as the Fps, not forgetting the 1/72 Blueroses decal set for the 1/72 Hasegawa series, so that i could start ordering from ya. Cheers
-
A beautiful masterpiece!!! Yamato should hire you as an adviser and consultant, that way all our macross toys would look like yours not to mentioned Anasazi for his decals/stickers quality. Hey graham, are you watching this thread, please show this to yamato. Cheers
-
Yep. Tell me about it. I have mostly everything you listed on pre-order. The space under my Christmas tree will be pretty impressive. Taking about christmas presents, these will be the best presents for the year 2003! Unfortunately they are all for me, noone is getting any presents from this year. Cheers

For the love of it. Some collect cars, clothes, watches, and even women! Bascially even if we dun indulge ourselves in toys, we would splurge our money on something else. At the end of the day, i feel looking at my toys, playing with it helps me to unwind from a day at work. Cheers
-
How many will S I T H L O R D get this time i wonder? Cheers
-
The greed never ends, with Macross toys is a bottomless pit.

Not too sure Gobotfool, the VF-1S and VF-1A reissues are supposed to be scheduled for a November release, maybe you will get to see them before the release of 1/48 VF-1J. Boy the following two months are going to be expensive. VF-1S hikaru, VF-1S Roy, VF-1J, Masterpiece Optimus Prime, BT-02 SideSweep. Guess how much its gonna to cost me? Beats me but my wallet is crying. Cheers
