Lovely work erick, love the kite shield with wordings on it. It does really make the Yf-19 stand out alot more despite his lack of panel markings.

Tks graham for the large scan, agree that short nose looks horrid. The SV-51 looks great except for the intakes part, which seems to be pivoting downwards instead of inline with the fuselage, it would look alot better if it was in line with the fuselage with some form of locking mechanism. Graham: As for the mid point hinges on the wings,is there any to find out from yamato, are they held together by plastic tabs or reinforced with a metal rod? Tks

Tks for the info gobotfool, think i will apply some lighter fluid on that area before making any attempt to remove it. Seriously, im getting disappointed with the use of such cheapo techniques to protect the toy, if bandai can use plastic bags, why yamato cant do the same especially for such a high end product. Much less can be said to the quality of parts used and assembly work done

Gobotfool/WolfX: What is this sticker thingy that is being pasted on circles of the verniers? do please provide some pics as i wish to avoid this issue when i get my YF-19. Tks Just a thought, seems that many of the breakages lies in the plastic and maybe the size of screws used for VF-0A/S and YF-19, maybe smaller screws and tougher plastics would sort of rectify the problem. Do find that the screws used are a tad bit large, leaving little for the plastic surrounding it during transformation.
-
Sorry to hear abt that. This breaking of parts, stress marks seems to be a growing trend with the recent releases, VF-0S/A, YF-19. Wonders if its the cheapo plastic being used, over tightening of screws or other reasons like misalignment/size of internal parts? Havent got any of the abovementioned due to the problems, hope these problems will be resolved in the future reissues/releases

Im for it too..a remake of the VF-1 in 1/60 especially for VF-1S with the squash peasize S head
-
Yesh thats word from the main man himself. Hopefully it would be mospeda being done although i kinda of doubt it. Back to SV-51, Graham, any news on wether yamato is going to do the booster packs for the SV-51?
-
Remember that a super nova custom scheme was featured in wonderfestival for the YF-19 in fighter mode, in which the top area was blue/white and bottom area was white/orange. Low vis qould be kinda of cool but plain, a better alternative would be digital camo or egnima
-
For the SV-51 Ivanov ver, would prefer it not be totally black, best if its base is black with some shades of charcoal grey, something which was similar to VF-0A, Grey/Medium Grey. Hopefully if yamato were to do the Nora ver, they would at least tempo print the yellow markings on it.
-
Cool news, just as i suspected the SV-51 will be done before the YF-21 or VF-11B. Defintely will be getting the ivanov and nora vers. Will wait and see how things go, cos it would involved alot of intricate and delicate transformation parts. The 1/60 super nova YF-19 sounds good, would defintely get both the Blue/White and Orange/White if it was done, please do tempo printing for the sponsor markings on the wings and shoulders instead of providing stickers for them. As for the low vis YF-19, most probably its a black/grey ver or a digital camo ver. Tentatively we could be seeing 4 to 5 different variants of the YF-19. As for the 2 seaters VE-1, VT-1 SO and VF-1D, my guess they would be done in 1/60 but with perfect transformation and better details/poseability/accuracy to the linear art. There is even a possibility that yamato might redo selected series of the VF-1S/J/A namely the squadron leaders. As for the 80s anime, my best guess is mospeda, bring them on yamato, the alpha/beta fighters!

Questions to ask: 1) Rectification of crooked gunpod and Right rear landing gear (unable to rotate out fully) 2) 1/60 Super Nova YF-19 (Both Blue and Orange ver) 3) Provision of some locking mechanism for the chest piece on the YF-19 4) Rectification of loose/fragile plastic shoulder problems of the VF-0A/S 5) 1/60 VF-0S Anime colors, base color in greyish white instead of beige 6) 1/60 VF-0D 7) 1/60 SV-51 (Cannon Folder, Ivanov and Nora versions) 1/60 VF-17D/S 9) 1/60 VF-19 D/S 10) 1/60 VF-4G 11) 1/60 VF-22S 12) 1/60 YF-21 13) 1/60 VF-11B/C

Looks yummy, tks for the pics graham. Looks like will be getting some of these as a decor for my office desk...

I can live without the fold booster and fps cos the YF-19 looks good enough. Speaking of which, anybody doing a recast of the 1/72 YF-19 Pilot? Tot of painting it and using it as a replacement for the 1/60 cos the pilot size and chopped legs looks weird.
-
Amen to that!!..Give me a VF-17S/D anytime

Surely it has to be a new valk not something that has being released or reviewed before. Hmm how soon would we be get to hear official news or see the actual prototypes of whats gonna to be release next? Any upcoming hobby shows in jp? Hopefully it would be a SV-51. Defintely agree with eugimon, that yamato has changed their marketing tactics to sustain the interest level by alternating btw different lines, M+ and M0, hope to see more variants from the VFX2 and maybe M2 or M7. As much as i would love to see yamato revisit and redo the 1/60 VF-1 with perfect transformation and release them in limited numbers of variants for e.g. VF-1S Roy/Hikaru, VF-1J Hikaru/Max/Millia and maybe VE-1 and VT-1 SO, it would be a very slim possibility.
-
YF-21 wings does have the ability to fold up/down, but in the anime i seldom see it "flapping" So im guessing the SV-51 is most likely to be the next 1/60 to be done, which maybe followed by M+ YF-21 or VF-11B..and for the grand finale, VF-0D!
-
If yamato would to do one, im really wondering would there be a booster equipped version later on. Basically im only gunning for Nora and Ivanov SV-51s
-
I love dunks!! A pity we dun get much of a variety here.
-
From the issues pertaining to the breakages of plastic in the bicep and shoulder seen in the VF0A, graham issit possible for you to feedback yamato to cast the bicep/shoulder as one solid ABS piece instead of two plastic pieces joined together or use pom plastic for the shoulder/bicep areas. Its terrifying to see plastic break so easily especially for a high end toy product. Hopefully we can see these imporvements incorporated in the upcoming VF-0A with Ghost.
-
Pardon me for saying this, i really feel the digital camo ghost is kind of redundant, as good as it looks..it doesnt blend in with the VF-0S/A and adding to that its asking to be shot down in a hurry with its contrasting color scheme. A lighter shade of grey in place of the bluish grey would blend in nicely with the subtle grey tones.
-
Erm cos a perfect transformation, highly detailed 1/60 VF-1 would nicely blend in with the current line of 1/60 from the M+ and M0 line, its doesnt have to be every single variant..just the leading characters versions like VF-1S Hikaru/Roy, Vf-1J Hikaru/Max/Millia and probably VE-1 and SO. But here's to hoping cos its very unlikely that yamato would redo the Vf-1 in 1/60 scale cos they would probably realise we are quite sick of them already. If that happens, i would just have to make do with the current 1/60 VF-1S Strike and VF-1S Super.
-
would love the following done 1) 1/60 VF-17 D/S 2) 1/60 VF-4G 3) 1/60 VF-22S/J 4) 1/60 SV-51 5) 1/60 VF-0D 6) 1/2500 SDF-1 (TV/DYRL) 7) 1/60 VF-11B 1/60 YF-21 lastly, limited variants of 1/60 VF-1S/J with perfect transformation so that it would blend in with the 1/60 line Cheers
-
Yups i agree that the YF19 is a truly a remarkable work of art and engineering. There wasnt really any serious QC issues except for the misalignment of the gunpod and rear left landing gear unable to rotate fully out. Other than that everything is nice and tight. Hopefully, Yamato would release them in the super nova scheme as well with the sponsor markings tempoed on, would defintely grab a couple of these as well
