Yups, i just talked with the owner Takuya of NY, he told me he is able to get more stocks for the VF-171EX Regular version thus preorders are still opened. I ordered two for myself. Whew! An expensive month for me, YF-29, VF-171EX Alto and Armor parts and now, 2 sets of VF-171EX Regular version

Love the fact that all the critical and load bearing points are diecast, which elimates the possibility of breakages while transformation or mishandling. Are such diecast parts seen in the M7 line? Pardon me for being a noob as i have being away from the macross collection scene for a long time Cheers

hi guys, its being awhile since i stop collecting macross stuff due to family commitments. Have recently begun my interest in macross releases again but guess i was late to the game as i found that most of the variants i wanted were sold out...like 1/60 VF-25f alto custom (renewal ver), 1/60 vf-25s ozama custom (renewal ver) and the ever elusive 1/60 yf-29 durandai. Not sure whats bandai intention is limiting the quantities of these valks when they are such a popular item. Same goes for the metal build gundam series

Something new from yamato..low vis VF-1S or TV VF-1S?
-
sighs the dilemma and struggle inside. I love all of them, VF-1J, VF-1A TV ver, VF-1S, but if really im tight on budget..would only get VF-1J and VF-1A TV ver
-
Wun know till the reissue Roy and newly released Hikaru comes this to our shores next week. Doubt there would be anyimprovements/modifications done cos graham did mentioned that only recently Yamato QC is looking at the possibility of modding the shoulder hinge joints and material. Maybe just extra care and procedures taken during assembly to minimise should hinge breakages

Hi Exo and guys, Just a suggestion, Hope you dun mind. Maybe we should consolidate the releases under different sub titles like: 1) 1/60 Ver 2 VF-1S Variants 2) 1/60 Ver 2 VF-1A Variants 3) 1/60 Ver 2 VF-1J Variants 4) 1/50 Ver 2 VF-1 Other Variants This is due to the fact that we would be seeing multiple repaints for different valks, thus it would be illogical to have one thread opened for each VF-1 variant.

The ultimate and most complex paint scheme/tampo job would defintely have to be a Minmay Guard or Minmay Paris Moon Act.
-
Yes without a doubt..one of my fav designs
-
Another hopeful thought..which im sure many would be interested in..a TV QRau
-
After the VF-11B, would we see a VF-11C next or a raven scheme ver? Sidetrack abit, would love for yamato to do a YF-19 in Super Nova Scheme or Excalibur ver but dunnoe whether has that idea died off as it would be a waste for Yamato to not fully utlize the molds for it
-
VF-1A Max TV ver..Lovely! A must get for me..wonders if yamato would do the VF-1A Kazakai ..guess it would an inevitable decision. This year is looking good for macross fans, would rather get this than the Bandai DX versions

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.2
recon replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I can say im pretty much disappointed with the overall design of the DX series, would have loved to get the Alto and Ozama version but the amputated landing gears, drooping fuselage, wrong placement of hips and extended ankles sort of deters me from getting one. The worst is the landing gears..sighs -
Bandai 1/60 DX VF-25 transformable toy thread
recon replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
It still looks ughh..for the DX 1/60 series no matter what angle in battroid, the only thing that is of consolation is the fighter/gerwalk. Sighs battroid mode is one of my favourite..but the looks of the crotch..Alto's Omega pants is kinda of putting me off. Think i would get the 1/72 model kits instead and wait till there is a better product in the near future i hope -

Bandai 1/60 DX VF-25 transformable toy thread
recon replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Sighs the legs (omega thunder pants syndrome), arms (eva syndrome), feet ( mcdonalds foot syndrome), extended shoulders, non articulated hands, non clear lens visor, sort of puts me off. The prototype pics as much as it shows a considerable amount of detail in the sculpt, leaves much to be desire, reminds me of the 1/72 YF-21 sculpt. Really wished bandai would have adopted the 1/72 VF-25 design for the 1/60 version. Oh well, i shall be contended with what yamato has to offer in the meantime -

Issit me or the 1/72 VF-25 Alto version model kit looks alot more streamlined, sleeker and better proportional that the 1/60 version VF-25 Alto DX version -
Hi guys, Came across this minmay figurine while browsing amiami, must say it looks quite nice. Seems to be done by a new company in the market. Scheduled release date is in November 08 at a SRP of 4725 yen. Anyways without further ado, here are the pictures: Link: http://www.amiami.com/shop?vgForm=ProductI...ate=review.html

I would say it would be hard to get one w/o the coupons and ordering form. As for ordering the max or vf-1s, maybe its becos the shop owner is from hong kong itself, as far as i knows he has no trouble in getting ltds/exclusives. Maybe he has his sources or contacts. He even managed to get a few of the WS VF-1S even though its super rare. Then again, i must emphasize that the amount of ltd/exclusives produced are actually more than the stated amount, maybe just a small number and these are usually sold off to the secondary market
-
Yups 250 for both Max VF-1A and VF-1S Strike (Weathered). But believe me, the numbers produced usually would be more than the quantity specified, which would be later sold to the open market via "unknown sources" Remember the case with VF-1A Low Vis 1, numbers produced were actually more than then stated quantity. But back then, i think noone was as crazy for ltd/exclusive releases like now.

The TV Max is a limited release, which can purchased from the coupon found in the Chronicles Magazine #1. The coupon has to be attached to the order form found in Chronicles Magazine #2. Not sure about the lucky draw thingy, but it seems the shop, which im usually purchase my macross stuff from, is able to get them through preorder on the condition that you provide the coupon/order form. Same goes for the VF-1S Hikaru (Weathered version). Maybe he has contacts with the distributor in Hongkong/China itself. After flipping through the magazine, i must say that its quite interesting and informative, with plenty of bios and illustrations and even a poster. Would defintely be getting the rest of the magazine releases. Sad to say, i would be forgoing the TV Max, gave my coupon to the shop, which i bought the magazine from as they would be doing a preorder for the TV Max. Would be concentrating on the 1/60 series instead

Got mine on monday, fiddle around with it. Seems to be there are no problems with the hip bars neither the shoulders. No missing head either. Guess the case with 4chan, the shoulder joint may have already suffered a hairline crack due to improper methods applied during assembly (under paid production workers in china), thus leading to the breakage upon some force applied on it. Overall its a beautiful toy to have, displayed along side with the YF19, YF21 VF0 and SV51
