Bravo, Bravo! Looks like it has much better control authority than your old balsa -51, despite being underpowered. Beautiful work, thank you much for posting the video!

Wow, Nice Work. Looking forward to seeing your vid

I'm bringing this one back from the nether reaches of the board On the subject of Jotun/Orguss-Valks, here's an interesting one I found. The discoloration on the bottom third is due to some weirdness my scanner just started pulling on me (not that the discoloration detracts too much from the original scheme on this one)

It was never John Kerry, it was Al Gore. Get your facts straight.

I'm not a hoarder, but I do seem to have a cannon fodder fetish. 5x 1/60 TRU CF 5 or 6x 1/60 CF 1x 1/48 CF 3x 1/55 CF I have lots of other VF types that are not CFs, but proportionally the CFs are in the majority.

You're going to need some reverb too if you want to become fluent. Better work on that.

Looking really good, Luke. Can't wait to see her fly! Thanks again for keeping us all up to date here.

Wow... [runs off to play Dig Dug]

Thanks for the kind words honneamise. My models do carry certain signature touches, usually in the form of big gluey thumbprints, but they seem to display ok from a "short" distance . I haven't seen many of the smaller kits such as you've posted around, which is probably a good thing for everyone, considering what I would likely do to them . I haven't pulled the shrinkwrap from the 1/48 Gerwalk, so can't really comment on it yet. Like you've stated, I had heard that the ARII Orguss variable kits left lots to be desired, but I've had fun with some of their small fixed-pose stuff like the 1/100 VF-1 fighters, and figured it would be good for a eight dollar lark if nothing else. Solscud, nice custom there too. Might be fun to pick up a beater Orgroid and do the same, maybe with some intake mods on the legs...

The first issues did not (the VF-1A Hikaru, Max, CF, and VF-1S Roy non-fp). The super valks and onward all have pilot figures (VF-1Js, 1S Strike, 1D, VE & VT).

Wow. Great stuff, everybody. I really like your custom Orgroid-Valk, NMB4Macross. I've got a small collection of Orguss stuff, that I'm slowly adding to. This is what I have now: 1/40 Orgroid MIB 1/60 Gerwalk Nikick MIB 1/60 Gerwalk Ishkick Command MIB 1/60 Gerwalk Ishkick Command Bootleg 1/60 Gerwalk Ishkick Standard MIB 1/60 Gerwalk Ishkick Standard Bootleg (Grey/White) 1/60 Gerwalk Ishforn MIB ARII 1/48 Orgroid Gerwalk ARII 1/144 Orguss 4Type (all four of the 1/144s in one box) I've just started building my 4Type models - these are very simple, yet very cool little guys. I've more or less finished the Orgroid and Tank models - the Orgroid in 1/144 is about 3" tall! Here's a really poor picture of the Orgroid:

That's pretty much what I thought too, and it would be cool. But it looks like maybe the original poster is actually talking about a VF-0 style vertically rotating cockpit - I'm kind of 'meh' on that one.

Thanks for the info, Greg. I knew that it was an original Japanese issue, but didn't know about the missiles... So there is a variant in the Japanese packaging, but without the firing missiles? I knew that was true of the Henshin Robo releases since I had owned one, but had assumed that all the japanese ones had firing missiles. I'll keep you in the loop next time I see one.

Well, it is, but this time it's actually a neat idea. I say go for it

Max didn't kill Millia, he bested her. You can figure out the rest.
-
You missed out in the movie - Max & Millia used VF-1Js in the series. Review the last 3/4 of DYRL to see the original usage.

Anybody Think Sk Should Leave The Vf-1 Alone?
Hiriyu replied to Rocket Punch's topic in Movies and TV Series
Excellent question. My answer, is "Yes". You should make this a poll -
Yes, but you have to admit, "YOU NEVER SEEN THIS B4!!1111!!!" Was anybody else checking this Mospeada Ride Armor out? Nice piece, but I've never seen one go for that much. I placed a bid on it several days ago at $186.00, and it more than doubled by the end

That's a good question. The instructions showed the correct placement of the legs, as they were basically just english-language reprints of the original Imai/Bandai instructions. In actuality, I think that Revell went their own way with the paint schemes and packaging images just to further differentiate their 'Robotech' models from the japanese originals. I had a lot of these as a kid too, and remember getting my first 'Vexar' (VF-1S Roy) well before the Robotech show ever aired. These were cool kits, identical to the originals, down to the decal sheets, except for the box art etc.

Anybody Thinks That Sk Needs To Redesign The Vf-1?
Hiriyu replied to Phalanx's topic in Movies and TV Series
Nah, JB Zero is better. -

Bad example. A '70 Camaro has soul. So does the VF-1 -

Thanks for the clarification - I had always assumed JB 'OH'. Henceforth, and for perpetuity, you shall be referred to as JB Zero. See, this thread is useful after all. -
