Otacute is legit. They had their 29 preorder open for a long time but they filled every order and I think it was mostly because no one knew about them. Well, the cat's out of the bag.

This is kind of stupid. I mean, Anime export posted on their website they'd be putting up their Bandai orders, then on Facebook they put the exact hour orders would go up, 5 pm Japan time. Right then, Bandai preorders started to go up an within the hour, they ended with the 25G order. When they had the 171 order, it was on their front page banner that the preorder would go up that day. That gives people a decent window to look into instead of "whenever." I think that was more than reasonable

MSRP means nothing when it comes to these valks. It's all about snagging a preorder before prices skyrocket and hoping that your preorder is fulfilled.

Yeah I'm not as hyped about Michael. he was awesome in the show when he died, but since he survives in the films, he lost all his dramatic cred. Now he's just sort of... hanging around. So while I was eager to get an extra 25S/F for myself, I'm sticking with my lone 25G. I'd personally pay what you said, $225 shipped for Michael. that's the max.

Most I'd pay is $250 shipped. And that's for an Ozma or Alto. That's already getting into Yamato 19 and 17 territory and while the renewals are great, the Yamatos are better.

People keep complaining about prices and times preorders go up, but really, we're not the intended market for Macross. I wish it were different, but It is what it is. With the downturn in the economies and toys just not being a necessity, it's only gonna get more difficult to get these for us N. Americans. If I weren't so neck deep in these renewals already, I'd have not bothered considering the stress involved in acquiring one of these at a decent price. but since I already have all the other releases, I feel compelled to complete them.

Got one at AE this morning when it was up originally. Luckily the hotel I'm staying at has great wifi! Woke up, saw it was sold out at amiami but still up at AE so I snagged it. Lucky me I guess.

Probably not. If you don't have a preorder in somewhere, or live in one of these countries where you can just walk into a store and see them on the shelf, you're probably going to be stuck with eBay.

My right one stays on just fine, even during transformation. The left one will come off if I try to transform it or play around with it too much.
