You may indeed have gotten the last one. Who knows? The second batch HLJ had was on there for a few days, so it could be you got one of the remaining few they had. You ordered by paypal, right? I have only ordered once through paypal with them, and that was over a year ago. I checked my invoice from back then, and this was the timeline: (I know you had some concern with the order a day or so ago, so I'm not sure if someone already answered this for you, so excuse this if they did). Nov 16, 2010 (tuesday) - order acknowledgement the day I made the order. I could not select any credit card through paypal at the time. Just chose paypal and that was it. Nov 17, 2010 - Order confirmation and they are processing it. No paypal request yet, no shipping calculation. Nov 20, 1010 - Received payment request and I paid it through paypal. Nov 27, 1010 - shipping notice with tracking. (the delay in shipping was due to national holiday in Japan the previous monday/Tuesday). That was a year ago. I know the ordering process is faster now, but if you made your order, there won't be any problems. I've ordered form HLJ too many times to count in the past, and not one single order got fubar'd or lost. But admittedly I haven't used them much at all this year due to switching my business to Amiami thanks to their great discounts, so take that for what it's worth. (And it's usually predictable when Amiami puts stuff up for preorder, unlike HLJ which seems random. However, what makes HLJ great is the ability to cancel preorders and no one gives you crap about it or bans you). I hope that helps alleviate some concerns you had.

Exactly. The only thing you can be sure of is: buy them now individually. Sure, you might end up paying a bit more individually than bundled, but since there is no guarantee of a bundled set, at least you'll be able to enjoy it now. If they do release a bundled set later on, it's no skin off your back, since you got to enjoy the toy for months well in advance of the bundled set. Consider the extra few yen you paid individually to be "rent" for getting to play with it in advance. Honestly, I have no issues with buying the preorder, since I got to enjoy it for the past couple of weeks, while everyone who is waiting for a bundled set is still... waiting. At some point, my time is worth more than just waiting and camping out for a release that may or may not be coming.

I hope it is a 171 with armor. Anything else will be disappointing to me.

I find it hilarious when you see stuff on ebay at ridiculously high prices, then someone goes and adds the same thing for even higher. It's like they are really stupid, or delusional.

You gotta do two things: The neck plate is on a double hinge, so you have to reach underneath and push on that to extend it out as much as you can. But the head will still sink down if you don't push the shoulder plates back down as far as they can go. That not only helps the back piece the wings are connected to sit flush against the cockpit, but it also helps keep the neck up. It feels fragile at first when you're pushing down the shoulder plates, but when you take a look, there's ample clearance for the piece to move down. I generally move them a little at a time, since that part is quite tight on mine, until they are bent back down fully. Just don't force anything.

I love it. Not a single day has gone by without me playing with this valk.

Watching him transform this is painful for me. I am so ridiculously careful when I transform mine. Amiami also has the 25F back in stock, but again, it is at nearly full MSRP.

My gf doesn't watch Anime, so she doesn't understand it. It's all good. She accepts me spending money on Valkyries, and that's all that matters.

Don't cancel it. I ordered the super packs through Tokyo Hunter for Alto. I'm skipping them for Ozma cause I want his armour packs. I'm sure the armoured packs will be announced at a later date. When they do, I'll be ordering them through the same place.

My hopes for a Figma-like Sheryl is probably a pipedream, so this is the next best thing. I like this Sheryl, and really, it's one of the least pervy Sheryl statues I could get. Some of the other ones, my gf would not approve. I'd get the whole, "That promotes an unhealthy body image of women. Do you want your daughters to see that and compare themselves to that? Blah blah blah, nag nag nag." Then I would go, "What kids? We ain't got no freaking kids! Now go make me a sandwich!" Okay, that last part was just a joke. I wouldn't be alive if I ever said that to her.

Ordered an Alto super pack set through Tokyo Hunter. I figured I'd just bite the bullet now and not worry about trying to get it from Anime-Export if/when they eventually put it up for sale on their website. I may have screwed myself if it appears significantly lower elsewhere, but really, it'll be like $5-$10 cdn difference for me, so I'm not worried. This way I can sit back and be pleasantly surprised by the mailman in April Now bring on Ozma's Armour!

I may regret this, but I'm going to sit this one out. I am pretty sure the things I want (Quarter, Vermillion squad), will be on deep discount again in a couple months (This is already the third or forth time I've seen HLJ do this). So I'm sitting it out, cause I need money for a 19 Kai + Sound Boosters. Like I said, I may regret it, but I already have a Skull squadron, and the Quarter, well, I can miss it. It's just a bit tough, cause for the price I can get a 19 and boosters, I can get the Quarter, the two Vermillion squad fighters, and maybe even a Yamato stand...

Probably thinks we're nuts. But I would tell him "Don't knock it until you've bought one." Seriously, dollar for plastic, I think the Macross valks are so much more worth it than a $20 Transformer. Buying these valks have completely changed how I look at transforming robot toys. I now only collect Masterpiece Transformers. Can't be bothered with the deluxe and leader classes.

Well, considering the cheapest you can find it at HLJ or Amiami is about $250 + shipping, $250 shipped is a fine price, IMO. Shipping alone is about $35 anyway.
