The Raptors wings are shaped like that because of its stealth characteristics.

The F-22 doesn't have diamond wings, the vertical tails are diamond. These are diamond wings

Good point, if there is going to be a gigantic final battle like most of us think there will be, I don't think Battle 25 will stay put knowing it might be the end of Frontier if they don't join the battle.

The scene were Alto saves Luca and others, firing missiles while rolling, reminds me of Captain Maximilian Jenius in episode 44 of Mac 7 clearing a path to get inside the cave to plant the reaction warhead.

Or the VFX Ravens story, nothing wrong with seeing more of the VF-19 and the outstanding, the magnificent, the extravagant VF-22 Sturmvogel II.

Don't get me wrong, Macross 7 was good not great, but you know you have a problem when the Big Bad Protodevlin start singing their hearts, thats if they have hearts, leave the singing to the rock stars. FIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (Insert rowdy rock fans here) BOMBMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Of course there should be a second season, there is no such thing as too much Macross unless it's Macross 7.

Major Brera Sterne of Macross Galaxy Antares Squadron went into a gun fight with a knife and left his gunpod behind when he went to save Ranka, maybe it would have gotten in the way and batteries probably needed recharging. Major Sterne better not let Klan meet up with him or she'll probably kick his ever loving cyborg arse all the way back to galaxy.

The VF-17 Gerwalk mode should have been like that more often in Macross 7 and did some research in Mac 7 Vids and found that the 17s arm were fully extended in episode 27 when Lt. Gamlin caught Mylene from falling, and the half way mode just looks ugly.

One thing the VF-171 has over the VF-17 is the Gerwalk mode, now the arms are fully used like every other VF gerwalk mode and it now can use the gun pod in this mode. The VF-17 Gerwalk mode was an after thought.

Mikhail and Luca had a bad day this episode, Skull 2 has his 25 blown to dust, out cold and can't shot down a vajra and say his trademark bingo. Luca has Nana-chan question his skills, rushes in battle thinking he's Alto only to pray for someone to save him and needs to stop running like a girl into battle, if you can't do that right walk next time.

Looks like the VF-171 has an 8-barrel gun pod, a upgrade from Macross 7 and maybe we might see it with a super pack like in the final episode of Macross 7. Diamond Squadron I salute you.

I guess all the good 171 pilots were on vacation until now.
