Balrog Experience The box was huge when it got here. It's aboout the same size as a case of 1/48's It was a massive toy, and frankly I did not know where I was going to put it. At the time I was extremely happy with it. It was like getting my 1/72 Yamato YF-19 when it first came out. The balrog has a 53 inch wingspan and about 30 inches tall. The pics below are with my VF-oS 1/60 Yamato. The sculpt is excellent. I have been wanting one of these since I saw the first movie. I decicded to place it on top of the entertainment center. When I came home it had fallen over backwards against the wall. After some examination, I noticed the tail was bent differently. I removed it and noticed it rattled. I emailed Bigbadtoystore.com and NECA. BBTS responded with a store credit offer or exchange. I already threw away the box, so no exchange. They also said no parts available. I took the store credit and ordered some 1/48 stealth FP :-) I still have not heard back from NECA. After doing some research,(thanks google) I found some info about Epoxy. I settled on ordering a product called QuiKPlastik. It has a 20 min set time, and is moldable. I opened up the tail by cutting around the top with a exacto knife. Inside the hollow tail there was a broken post with a attached to a clear hard plastic tube. I thought "this is supposed to help hold up 35 pds of menacing plastic." So I used the QP to strengthen the original parts with combination of superglue and a cut up wire hanger. The end result looked like a frakin' sextoy. I case you were wondering why there are no pictures. While it was setting, I used the rest of the Epoxy to set the wings firmly in place. I the used a fast setting Epoxy to glue the tail back together. Also in my research, someone noted that the feet are smooth on the bottom. So placing it on a smooth surface may result in the hips moving and then a shelf-dive. I slove this by gettig a rubber drawer liner and cutting it to size.

Th ONLY gripe I have with this bird is THE GUNPOD IS TOO SMALL! What YF-21 would be afriad of getting clubed with that thing???!

There has been only one type of Fast packs released seperately so far. The standard DYRL? FP shown in this auction. EBAY The only other stand alone packs are the upcoming Stealth Packs shown here bigbadtoystore.com The TV style packs were released in VF-1J super sets. They were a little greener in color and had no Strike cannon toy wave

Yeah the cost is pretty high, especially with new 1/48 & MP-03 &04 coming out in the next month

After a year or so of waiting NECA is finally shipping their 24 inch tall balrog. this thing is huge. It is inscale with the toybiz six inch figures. There are a few places left to preorder BBTS.com Ebay neca myspace I'll post a review when I get mine. This thing is so huge it make you GI JOE's crap themselves.

If enough Series version Macross helmets are sold, yes, I'll consider doing a Macross Plus version. Clear plastic is not a problem. 423173[/snapback] That's good news1 I am not interested in the regular series or a DYRL? helmets. I hope they sell well enough for Isamu's to happen. Macross Plus was what got me back into Macross, so it's the one I really want. I'll be ordering the fully painted version with reinforcement and straps!

Thread Jack Since the last big batch came out, I changed my buying habits and focused on what was really important to me. MACROSS Mcfarlane, Transformers, comics and a couple of other things, all are going bye-bye. I opened up an ING direct savings account and set up an automatic deposit every 2 weeks. If you set the amount at 65.00, and since the releases are about 3 months apart in 3 months you will will have 409.50 to use for valks. It sucked giving up my other hobbies, but I enjoy Macross more. Right now, I'm just waiting for a total to send the funds for a Angel birds, Kakazi and stealth FP. My VF-0A is already paid for. /Thread Jack I just want to see a fully tampo printed valk. I would pay extra for it if given the option

GeneralMayhem- Will you be offering a Macross Plus, Isamu style helmet, complete with clear top? I am pretty sure there is a way to make clear resin/plastic.

SEPTEMBER! Same as the 1/48 angelbirds, 1/48 stealth FP & 1/60 VF-0A. also include the 1/60 YF-19. I somehow doubt it will be on time
