  1. Finally finished my first Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1S kit! What a pain of a kit to build but the end result is brilliant!! I should have a full review up on Collectiondx this week after some final touch ups. Cheers Leonardo Flores

  3. Hello Friends, I'm still up to bringing my turntables and DJing my Anime vinyl collection for both days. A ton a new records for this year and it will be Macross focused as last year. 4. Hello It's Leonardo The gentleman who DJed the all Vinyl Macross Music last year and one of the staff writers for CollectionDX http://www.collectiondx.com/user/modcineaste . You can read my previous Macross World Con reviews on the page provided. I will be happy to provide my PA System and would love to DJ the event again if possible. I could also provide assistance if needed. I used to promote my own club from 2001-2005 and very good with Logistics. Please contact me at uplandmod@hotmail.com Looking forward to helping make Macross World 10 the biggest and best ever! Leonardo Flores Whittier, CA
  5. Here's my review on CollectionDX: Sorry about the crappy pictures but my Cannon Powershot died a few days ago and all I had was my Iphone camera! http://www.collectiondx.com/review/anime_f...tical_battlepod I love it, and for that price you can't beat it. I like what Toynami was going for and they nailed it! Excellent job! Leonardo Flores modcineaste.com
  6. Thanks for the insight everyone. I usually prefer flat paint for my kits but I thought on this go around I might use gloss but the light grey paint is suggested in the instructions for the VF-1J, white is suggested for the DYRL fighters. For those who do paint their Valyries in a light grey, which paint company and color do you usually use? Thanks! Leonardo
  7. Inquiring about if you prefer to paint and finish your VF-1 Valkyries model kits in Gloss White or Flat White? This has less to do with the pro or cons of which is good for decals, ease of building etc. but strictly which you personally prefer to finish your VF-1's model kits in. Just trying to gauge which is more popular with modelers. Cheers! Leonardo
  8. I use a badger 300G gravity feed which is an excellent airbrush. I would definitely go with a either a Badger or an Iwada. But really improved my modeling paint skills a 1000% was spending the money and purchasing a good air compressor with a regulator. I picked up one of the Iwada air compressors for $350 and it was the best amount of cash I ever spent on the hobby. Cheers LF
  9. Thanks, count me in for next year to DJ again, it was one of the most rewarding events I've ever DJed! Cheers! LF
  10. Thanks everyone had a great time talking and DJing for all of you. Looking forward to Macross Con 10! Here's the MacrossWorld Com 09 review on CollectionDx: http://www.collectiondx.com/article/macrossworld_con_09 Cheers! Leonardo Flores
  11. Oh Yes, a Passport, I work for Fender in Corona so I'm very familiar with it! ha ha Sounds great, can't wait! Cheers! LF
  12. I'm planning to bring both of my Turntables to spin my Macross vinyl throughout the day on Saturday. I'm assuming that you will have a PA system like you guys had last year. I own one but It's a few less things I need to carry to the venue under the hot July sun if I don't need to bring one! You can sample some of my collection here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9U5_HWBWriQ The playlist on the right has some other 45rpms that Macross fans might be interested in. Looking forward to meeting up, I'v been waiting all year for this! Leonardo
  13. Great, count me in! I just registered for the MW09, looking forward to spinning some great Maross Tracks for everyone!!! Cheers! Leonardo Flores
  14. I mentioned it couple times before at Frank & Sons but I wouldn't mind bringing down my turntables and my Macross/Mospeada/Orguss/Super Sentai vinyl collection to DJ for an hour or two if time permits. I own about 50 related anime LP's and EP's and it would be great to spin a set of Macross songs for everyone. Let me know, Cheers! Leonardo Flores
  15. Hello, At Macross Con 08 some of you brought your models and toy repaints with round clear display stands with three prongs that you put your model on top of. Where would I purchase them from? Thanks! Leonardo Update: I found they were from Lost And Found toys from another post.
  16. Glad you all liked the review. I had a great time and it gives me a year to come up with a Custom for the contest. I changed the line in the article so it reflects that the drawing was not from your collection! I was a bit hazy on the origins of the raffle drawing. Cheers! Pony Toy Go Round was a magnificent Anime/Japanese Toy store in LA's Little Tokyo district and it was the place to go in the 8T's for Japanese Toys. There was actually three stores but one was specifically devoted Anime related Japanese toys such as Spiral Zone, Macross, chogokins etc...they had it all stock. I shopped there from 1985 to 1989 and they closed down roughly in 1993 due to the death of the owner. Really a great loss to the Japanese toy collecting community here in L.A. I only wished I had pictures of the Interior and what was in stock. Thanks again, LF
  17. Thanks to everyone from Macross World to putting on a A Class event! Here's my Collection DX Report on Macross World '08: http://www.collectiondx.com/node/2720 Cheers! Leonardo Flores
