I don't think NY has any set of rules on who gets priority on items being shipped. There were speculation that shipping method plays a part on which one gets shipped first. Also the number of items ordered plays a deal as well but I guess this will be more towards normal releases as they need to wait for their stock to come in from where they source them from, and they will ship single orders first before multiples. I just got shipping confirmation as well about an hour ago and I placed my order just last week when they opened orders again.

Can't blame Bandai for how they do their business as after all their primary market is Japan and if you live in Japan, probably much easier to pick one up as compared to us who live overseas. We also do not know how much they produce. They could very well be producing much more than Arcadia, just that their items are in higher demand. Also Bandai may not want to over produce as they probably do not want to be sitting with stock and not being able to move it (Yamato had this issue with a lot of their releases that ended up being heavily discounted at from places like HLJ). Some of Bandai items still could be bought at below retail, like VF-27 with super parts. And as Bandai has done, if they see there is demand, they will reissue them (VF-25S, VF-25F, 30th Anniversary YF-29).

Yup, it will crack without doing anything. I had 7 of them, opened all 7 of them to check when new. Only one with crack NUNs and crack smaller triangle, and one with broken knee joint. Thought all good, left in box. Few months later decided to sell some of them, opened up the boxes and another 3 of them showed cracks on the NUNs and/or smaller triangle. It's just really bad plastic used by Bandai which crumbles easily.

Like I said previously I expected the price to be similar but hope it will be much cheaper. There's no reason for Arcadia to make it much cheaper. It's similar to the VF-0D so the price should be similar. If they made it much cheaper, it may impact on current and future sales of VF-0D and any future variants. These are expensive toys so not everyone will pick every single one up, and if they made the 0A/0S much cheaper it makes it easier for someone to decide if they were to only pick one up. In the first place I find the 0D should have been priced cheaper.

August just for the VF-0A as collection dx has no date for the VF-0S. given the VF-0D is still readily available, I don't think the VF-0A will be that hard to find on release or couple months after release. If it was the VF-0S then I think it may sell out faster.

Just got shipping confirmation so it all looks good and they should have stock of the items they recently put up.

I'll let you know as I was one of the lucky one to get an order in for the Ozma. When I placed my order, the status changed to low stock, so there was more than 1 available. It's been paid and sitting in my private warehouse now. I am just waiting for them to send me payment request for some gundam markers I ordered today and then will request for shipping.

Ozma sold out in about 10mins of Anubis post and it was going for 15,300 Yen which is a really good price. Perhaps HLJ been doing some inventory check lately and found extra pieces at their warehouse which may have been stock kept to replace any faulty ones sold.

I would say the QC issues is widespread and could be just a matter of time before it breaks. The problem is the plastic used which is why you get many parts with potential of breaking. NUNs triangle, little triangle, knees, part underneath head. I went to put on the super parts on my broken one which I sort of fixed the knee on one leg. Now I noticed a different area in the knees joint of both legs being cracked. Managed to get the leg out from fighter mode with the fix holding, but upon putting it back in placed, my fix didn't hold . Will be staying in fighter mode anyway.

I find that Gundam Real Touch markers are pretty good to use for panel lining. They are water based, so you can wipe them off easily.

Yes that's correct. Once you get the center piece out the other parts can easily be taken apart. I have glued it back a few times, but nothing seems to really fix it. Last I did was to also glue the pin together with the broken parts in the hope that it will hold the broen pieces together better, but since then I have left it in fighter mode and have not transforms it again.

That happened to me and I managed to remove it. It's glued together, so depending on how much glue was applied, it could be easy or hard to get it off. The way I remove it is not ideal as I used a screwdriver which will damage some part of the plastic. Someone else might have a better way of getting it apart.

HLJ had sold out before and then got stock again. So they may very well get more stock in again. Alternative places to buy are Hobby Search but at full retail, Amiami lower price than HLJ but higher shipping compared to HLJ and CDJapan. Most of the retailers seems to be able to get more and more stock in after they sold out.

I think with the low number of variants of what Arcadia is releasing each year, chances for CF will be very slim given that CF variants have not sold well in the past and always ends up being heavily discounted. More chances of seeing main character valks and special painted variant.

Amiami keeps getting more stock in after they sold out. Won't be surprised if HLJ gets more stock in as well later on. Still available at both Amiami and Hobby Search, and one left at CDJapan, but Hobby Search is at full retail.

I think he didn't take that many orders in the first place. When I had a look at it, there was only 5 pieces for order. Hopefully with the small numbers, he will be able to fulfil it.

Thanks lancalot. I'll have a look at it. Bandai has burned a few sellers in the past where they took preorders and not being able to fullfil it. Hope his supplier is reliable.

How reliable is this seller? I got a feeling that they will not be able to fullfil all the YF-29B preorders.

Can't really compare Bandai and Arcadia pricing as they are different items. But for me I won't support Arcadia due to their high prices unless they go on sale which most likely won't happen unless they go down Yamato path and start producing too many variants in a year and over supply the market. If you are comparing prices between the two companies, then Arcadia pricing is about 50-100% more than Bandai. If its something I really want from Bandai, I can always go through NY path with a markup which is still relatively lower in cost compared to Arcadia newer items (YF-19, VF-0D) if I am unable to secure one at retail or less. They seem to remained opened for quite a while now and easier to secure one. The good thing about those in US, is that the USD currency has appreciate a lot against the Yen from the last few years. If this didn't happened most of you guys will be complaining about the prices as well. For example, the VF-0D probably cost about US$300 shipped at 120 exchange rate now. If the rate was what it was back in 2012/2013 about 80, you will be looking at over US$400.

I am guessing this is via HLJ. You sure you added two to the cart? I just paid for my friends copy as I cancelled mine and the shipping was also 2,980 Yen for just 1 and I believe EMS rates for Australia and USA are the same.

If I remember correctly it was just a general release and not a web exclusive. I guess if they think there is enough demand out there for them to release another batch, they will. If not, then probably not. Given their high pricing and for the release to just be less than a year, I don't think there will be enough demand at the moment but maybe in the future there might be.

Cheapest I have seen for the VF-0D at Amazon JP for 31,757 Yen. But shipping will be more as need to use a forwarding agent.
