  1. Well I had always known there were important short stories in Perfect Memory, but i had never known they were this relevant to Macross Fans needs right now! It would be incredibly interesting to read these stories then compare them to Macross Zero. As Perfect Memory was written quite a while ago, it would be interesting if a lot of the Anti-UN stuff was the same. I dont read japanese though... So I cant be of much help. I just thought I'd bring it to your attention that these stories existed. -BEN-MAN-
  2. The cables arent going into the cockpit. Or at least, it doesnt look that way. And I dont think its a fixed emplacement. Look at the linart! Its got something /instead of legs/ it looks like. Weird stabilization legs or something. Liket he kind Mobile Guns put down to suppress recoil better. Either way, I dont think the cables have anything to do with the cockpit. Also, is that a little window in the upper chest? LOL! And I think this is the coolest zaku ever. Ever. Its a lot cooler than that Zaku II Gunner Vostok This things SO bulky!! Its like a mobile battleship cannon! Plus, I reallyyy dig the colors. -BEN-MAN-
  3. I dont think its that. If you look at the lineart I posted at the top of this thread.. Its like it does have some soft of legs. I dunno what they are. Stabilization things maybe? Hover fans? No idea. It definitely doesnt seem like it was built to have legs though. Besides, that base in episode 3 was pretty well run, it didnt seem to be decrepit at all. So I doubt its that they didnt have legs to put on it. -BEN-MAN-
  4. Could be. But only the VA-3M was deigned for amphibious use. The earlier models, that Im talking about, werent designed for amphibious duty, so I doubt they'd be lights. They might be though.. It would make sense for the Patroid. -BEN-MAN-
  5. There were VA-3C Customs in Dynamite 7, and the VA-3M was in VFX-2. However, I think those two times were the only times any Invader was ever in a game or animation. The earlier models have never been in anything I dont think. KingNor, which thing is ugly? The VA-3, or the Patroid? -BEN-MAN-
  6. Huh! Your right! It is in episode 3! Man this Mobile Suit is awesome In order of appearance: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/po...-1070754305.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/po...-1070754414.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/po...-1070754446.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/po...-1070754330.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/po...-1070754371.jpg And why wouldnt it be a mobilesuit? Its not built into the mountain. Im not exactly sure why it doesnt have legs, or if it can move around under its own power, but yah. -BEN-MAN-
  7. I had no idea there were such stories in Perfect Memory! A story involving Global as a Space Destroyer Captain, and a story about a fleet belonging to the Anti-United Nations Forces! Dude, we really need to read these! Especially"The Plundering Fleet", as it ties in directly with Macross Zero! I'd love to read about this stuff, but I cant read Japanese! -BEN-MAN-
  8. 8th Mobilesuit Team sucks for one reason only... Rear Admiral Yuri Kellanays death. Throughout most of the episodes you grow to like his character, and you start to realise how bloody awesome the Zeon can be - Then Ginias blows him away in a tunnel. How freaking crap is that? He was by far the coolest character in that OVA. And I looked through every bloody episode again... The 8th MS Team Style Zaku Cannon is /not in this ova/. Please proove me wrong! But I dont bloody see it. -BEN-MAN-
  9. The VA-3 C and M models incorporate fixed weapons consisting of two fixed beam guns mounted in pontoons in Attacker mode and in lower arm sections in GERWALK and Battroid mode. And two fixed micro-missile launchers mounted outboard in pontoons in Attacker mode and in lower arm sections in GERWALK and Battroid mode. The arm mounted guns are easily apparent in this picture. http://www.mahq.net/mecha/macross/vf-x2/va...-3m-gerwalk.jpg However.. If the earlier models didnt have any armament, what was that little hole inbetween the fingers? It really seems like some sort of gun! http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/po...-1070709344.gif http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/po...-1070709439.gif I had always thought it was a gun, so I was kind of stumped when I read that the earlier models had no fixed armament! That hole at the tip of the pontoons in fighter mode, and in between the claws in battroid mode, is very decieving. Also, the VA-3's lower arms bear a big resemblance to the Ground Pattroids arms. Including that little hole between the claws. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/po...-1070702921.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/po...-1070702978.jpg Which leads me to believe that the Ground Pattroid is made by Northrom Grumman, but thats extreme speculation on my part. And thats not even why I started this post. Im just wondering what those openings on the VA-3 are. Lights? Sensor ports? No idea. Sorry for posting such an obscure thread, LOL ^__^ But it got me wondering -BEN-MAN-
  10. Well, if you or anyone else can tell me where in which episode it appears in, I'll glady take as many screenshots as I can of it and post em here I still dont think its actually in there! -BEN-MAN-
  11. I've seen lineart for the 8th MS Team Zaku Cannon all over the place, and I've seen The 8th Mobilesuit Team! I have the Bandai DVDs, and I cant remember /ever/ even glimpsing it! So Im a bit baffled. http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/08thmsteam/ms-06k.jpg Where in the OVA is it? -BEN-MAN-
  12. I took those screenies from Indians HK Bootleg. the "A" set (Animation Video). Its a great set. Subtitles are a tad lacking, but hey, who cares. The audio and video is great. Man, hours of effort and I only get this many awesome replies? I thought there were more Megazone fans in here! -BEN-MAN-
  13. Yah, Megazone Two Three is bloody awesome. Im not sure which mech is my favorite... I mean, if i could buy a toy of some, I'd probably choose the Space Hargun from Part I, cause I really dig the armament and the color scheme. Then I'd buy a Zero Zero Hargun, and a Wild Sow from Part II. Cause.. Come on.. The Wild Sow is as ass kicking as they come. THeyre like, indestructible. I feel SOOO sorry for that police captain in Part II!! The entire episode he's trying to capture Shogo, and in the end his Wild Sow is basically a pair of malfunctioning walking legs, and he's completely messed up, with his brains hanging out, and he says "I've got you now.. SHOGOOO!!" and then he dies. LOL. And Shogo goes over and says "... hes dead..." and /duh/! His brains are hanging out! ^___^ Man I love Megazone. One of the greatest movies /ever/. -BEN-MAN-

The only mecha I missed were the crazy alien thingies. I could never get a suitable shot of them. Theyre always all dark, or zipping around so fast it doesnt look interesting to screen cap it. Check it out! I even got pics of the Zero Zero Hargun, the elusive one! Man Megazone 23 had great mecha designs. And no, Im not going to do this same thing for Part III. There is no Part III. -BEN-MAN-

Took me bloody hours to do this! I was bored Stay tuned for the PART II Edition!! -BEN-MAN-
  16. I love destroids, as you might imagine, and it seems like Yamato will spend an eternity releasing Macross Destroids, so I was kind of looking forward to the Kaiyodo one. (Wasnt it Kaiyodo? That Super poseable awesome one?) But I still havent seen it get released yet! Did the company can the idea? It looked so cool! I was even going to pick up some valkyries and Battle pods if I had the money! I guess theyre just one of those things that will never be released or something. Like the Kezutaka Miyatake Orguss+Macross artbook, LOL. -BEN-MAN-
  17. Thats frikkin sweet Kishimoto! You have amazing talent! Thats probably the only model of the Rabbit ever made! You should feel immensely proud of yourself! You did an amazing job! I love it I cant wait for you to do more obscure stuff! -BEN-MAN-
  18. Sweet! Awesome Barpharanges! You are the Duke Of MacrossWorld, you are A # 1 ^___^ -BEN-MAN-
  19. I bought a Toei TV Openings disk a while back, and among all the glorious old anime openings, was one that literally made me not be able to stop laughing. A crazy completely bonkers show about a character named Patarario. The ending has him and all of his TV-mates doing hilarious dances to a ridiculous Ondo, and its great! http://www.aestheticism.com/visitors/manga/patarillo/ Read about it. There should be WAY more fans for this show than there is. As it is, I just love it, and I havent even seen any!! I doubt theres even copies of it in Japan! LOL! -BEN-MAN- Edit: Blast, seem to have been mispelling it the entire time, its actually patar-ar-io. Patarario. Or whatever way you decide to prounounce it, LOL. Thats the way my MP3 of the ending is written, so yah
  20. Its... J-Pop... But... Unlike anything you've ever heard. A few songs are very funny and whimsical, like the opening and stuff, but most of it is actually pretty serious. Koi No Mebius has one of the most interesting vocal progressions ever, and its pretty serious. http://www.animelyrics.com/anime/urusei/uymobius.htm Overall.. You'd just have to listen to Urusei Yatsura music and decide for yourself. One of the reasons i love it so much is because its so unique! So yah ^__^ For instance... Meloncholy No Kiseki is... One of the most beautiful songs ever. EVER. I could fill a Zeppelin and fly it to the sea of stars and call it the King Beneraldas with how good that song is! http://www.animelyrics.com/anime/urusei/uykiseki.htm Melancholy No Kiseki will forever be one of my favorite songs... Right up there with Ai Oboete Imasu Ka?. If anyone can provide me with a FTP server to upload to, I could upload a couple songs to let you guys know how it is. Maybe I can make a fan out of you. -BEN-MAN-
  21. I am currently trying to aquire another CD, so I wont be able to buy a Urusei Yatsura CD for quite a while, but nevertheless, Im intrigued. Urusei Yatsura has a large ammount of beautiful music in it. Ai Wa Boomerang... I, I, You, and Ai, Dancing Star, Koino Mobius, Kokorobosoina, Pajama Jamada, and many many more. Has there ever been a Complete Vocal Collection released for this wonderful series? If you go to www.cdjapan.co.jp and Search for 'all - all' you find a good number of Urusei Yatsura CDs... But I have no idea what is what. It'd be really sweet if there was a complete vocal collection! So yah! -BEN-MAN-
  22. What are the exact ways that a Fold Engine works? How exactly does the Macross Cannon deliver its destructive beam? What are Destroids muscles made out of? Hydraulics? Pneumatics? Super powered servos? In any great Science Fiction, there have to be things you cant explain. Otherwise its just not as fun. Thermonuclear engines are only slightly plausible, with the majority of their functionality being filled in by the fact theyre built with Overtechnology. At least, thats what I think Half probable, and the rest we just dont know about, cause its alien ware. -BEN-MAN-
  23. And these Octos have some sort of Personnel compartment in them, as its apparent they can transfer infantry in limited numbers. Intriguing..Where the hell is that Troop Compartment on them??? There doesnt seem to be room! Maybe a tiny room in each leg that opens up to let a few fully loaded combat troops out? Dunno. -BEN-MAN-
  24. I think that the UN Fleet is very poorly maintained. I get the feeling that the Asuka doesnt have all that many fighters on board. Maybe only a dozen onboard at all times. 10 SV-51s came in to attack the Asuka, and the Asuka scrambled what few fighters it could to attack the main group of planes, unbeknownst to them, the main threat was the small fighter group led by DD and Nora, which succeeded in penetrating the fleets perimeter and attacking the Asuka herself, which, the UN thought would be adequately protected by the awesome Cheyene Anti Air Robots, but it wasnt. As the SV-51's laid waste to the Destroids, Fokker, who had stayed on board the Asuka in case of absolute emergency, hurriedly dons the GBP-0 armor onto his trusty VF-0S, and engages DD, as the only Variable Fighter defending the Asuka at the time. Makes sense to me... This is just my extrapolation though. -BEN-MAN-
