Yep, it's also best to use a cc with no foreign transaction fee and some type of rewards. Also use your credit cards conversion rate instead of PayPal's. Can't tell you how much money I wasted on cc and PayPal foreign transaction/conversion fees before getting setup properly Could have bought an extra dx 1/60 or hmr monster lol

Cool box art. I have a premium finish on po at ny. 99% sure I'm going to let it lapse. These look very cool I just can't rationalize the price of the premium finish.

As an aside I just lost 3 auctions in a row for 1/48s on jya lol Bid on a vf-1s Roy, vf-1cf, vf1-a low viz. New, unopened or never transformed go for around 150-200 plus shipping. Lost out on a few 1/60 destroid auctions as well

The MSG chain base may work well. I have a bunch on the way that I was hoping to use as a backdrop for my 1/60 and 1/48 scale valks. There's also the gc machine nest that is basically a ko of the MSG set; way cheaper with more accessories.

I've been thinking of picking up an extra set of super parts too. I didn't like them at first but they are growing on me I noped out of delta after the first episode so I don't know anything about the variants either. Will have to read the wiki and budget accordingly because I really like the vf-31

Checkout sold items on eBay and jya. There are still a lot of folks buying these at a premium unless they are broken or obviously yellowing. I paid way to much for hikaru and m&m super valks...I almost didn't get doubles...almost

This would be sweet but I would want an actual yf-21 instead of a blue and yellow vf-1. I think I'm done with HMR outside of destroids for now.

Oh gosh I wish you posted this a few months ago. I spent a fortune acquiring 1/48s this year but have switched my focus to the new stuff. The only two I'm still kind of looking for are a vf-1a cf and vf-1s Roy.

The accessories are quite tempting. I'm kicking myself for skipping the yamato stands on jya for 4300 now that I see them everywhere for 8500-10000 plus shipping. The mde bombs would look sweet on the yf-30. I've been spending way too much lately so I'll wait until the KOs show up on jya or ebay before taking the plunge.

Hi all, Sorry if this has been asked before I searched and didn't see anything. I have a large order to ship from hlj and the FedEx rates are appealing; however I started to read that many folks have been randomly charged customs and other fees when shipping via FedEx. I'm in the U.S. What are your experiences using FedEx for large/small orders? Is there a threshold that triggers customs/duties/etc? Thanks!

I've noticed that hlj and ny shipping has gotten a little pricey. It doesn't seem to coincide with shipping tables/weights from ems etc.
