That's right, and both films are based on the book "Who goes there?" by John W. Campbell, Jr. Wikipedia says the carpenter version is more faithful to the novel. I haven't seen the original film so I can't say. I think I'll pickup the book.

hahaha AVP...VT I have mixed feelings on this but I think you're probably right; this is a story that doesn't need to be told. There are so many great sci fi stories out there that haven't been made into films...why so many dang prequels/sequels/remakes?

Got gg subs CANAAN last night. I flipped through the first episode before work this AM and the animation quality looks quite good. Hope the story is as good as the visuals.

Received/paid the invoice from amiami this AM. 3,921 + 1,680 shipping (registered SAL) to Northeast U.S. = a little less than $62 via paypal Not bad, I hope it gets here okay.

Ordered (couldn't resist). I now have orders with amiami, angolz, locus and a mw member. My wife is going to freak when all of this stuff starts arriving at the house.

on sale at amiami.com for 3,921 yen plus shipping I have no experience with amiami but seems like a good price would buy one but I spent too much on toys this xmas already

I bought the vf-11b, yf-21 and yf-19 GN-U's before they went on sale (prob around $17 a piece) and they're some of my favorite macross toys. Wa'aaay nicer than the revoltechs though not as poseable and sans fast packs. For $10 a pop I may buy another set for work.

Just ordered a couple late xmas presents for myself: Alpha Omega Sheryl and Alpha Omega Micronized Klan Excited to find a spot for these
