I was hoping they would use the regular teal colored VF-171s. Hoping this would prompt bandai to re-release that version without the breakage flaws. -
In just marathoned a bunch of these posts and was reminded in one of them about something i wasn't exactly clear on regarding reaction weapons. Reaction weapons are suppose to be clean nukes? The Zentraedi want the macross for the reaction weapons? Wouldn't this be something they could get their hands on without having to go through the trouble of going after the macross?

I just saw the sub. I didn't hate it as much as i was expecting to but i'm not a fan of adopting the modern anime style that is prevalent this day. It's why my anime viewing is pretty much nil these days with some exceptions. Knights of Sidonia had promise until it got stupid in the second season. It's fine that they are trying to be more marketable to make more money which is a good thing for us. Macross has always had fantastical elements and some really shakey science thus definitely not realistic. It however had believable characters which were grounded in reality. Delta is not the first series to do this but it is still missed. Some random thoughts: Looks like Destroids still can't out regualts even when the pilots are out of their mind. Who would choose to pilot a destroid? I still don't buy that the human race could've expanded across the galaxy in only 50 years even considering they cloned themselves and integrated other cultures (Zolans etc). Come think of it shouldn't there be copies of our heroes from the first series out there somewhere. I'm curious the relation of this Jenius to Max. She doesn't seem to be that great of a pilot. If she is related to Max, i wonder how she ended up on the outer rim in the total opposite direction of most of her family. Unless travel around the galaxy is so quick and easy these days. So a immigration fleet settled on the wind planet and assimilated into their society. I guess that means that they potentially have a New Macross class and maybe a Macross Quarter of their own. Not to mention the valkyries. Maybe the draks were derived from them? The crazy Ariel knight with the long pinkish/red hair reminds me so much of the crazy enemy gundam pilots from series like Gundam Seed. -
I was temped to get another as well but too much other stuff coming up quick. Also having to pay for those 2 vf-1s roy hi-metals unexpectedly. Oh well i feel like i dodged the bullet with the leg issue. Probably won't be as lucky a second time.

That's what i meant those stands without the adapter you made. Just said that as a way to identify the stand since i don't remember what bandai calls them. Let me know if they work.

Can you use those Bandai stands that EXO made that adapter for yamato valks. I can't remember what they are called. I have a few of those somewhere. It'd be nice if they worked.

If they are going to change it to mindless fast and furious action with no substance then maybe it should die? Perhaps there is more dignity in death of the franchise rather than going on. On the plus side i do kinda like the new uniforms (the ones base on the original outfits). Too bad it looks like Pine is going to spread most of the movie not wearing it like the other two movies. It must be in his contract to not have to wear it. -
Yeah count me in the camp that though Transformers the movie was awesome. I watched the G1 cartoon from the start and the movie really upped the storytelling of the fiction. I remember being shocked at the deaths and sad to see the characters go but thought it made for compelling storytelling. It would continue to pay off in some 3rd season episodes.

The timing sucks. Just before Christmass and the release of both the 0s and 2ss. Totally blew my budgeting plans.

This completely. As much as the bay films get bashed i surprised how little this comes up. They have Optimus so out of character. In the last movie when he awakens the first thing out of his mouth is "KIll, kill kill you". Sure the last thing he probably remembers is being hunted but still it's something that Optimus would ever say. I'm surprised Cullen didn't have any objections. Didn't he refuse to voice characters in shows with too much violence. They must be paying him a lot.

Wife wants to watch the orginal trilogy before we go see this. I don't want to watch the special edition. I heard their was a fan restoration of the original cut? Any ideas where i can find it?

Got my two 1Ss a few days ago. Funny considering i had one shipped EMS and the other SAL. It's pretty much what i expected, actually a little better. It's a lot more solid than the orginal releases. My Max 1J is super loose and floppy. Overall i think these are neat little toy. Like someone else said they feel more like toys to be played with.
