Yeah when i first saw it i instantly thought of the original Macross. Then i was like no that's a quarter. Then i notice the arms look different. I'm looking forward to learning about this ship. Weird that they've chosen to have it stand up in is stationary position. You would think carrier mode would be the preferred choice. But like others have said the original macross sits in a lake. -
The pins are so annoying and wrecks the design for me. Why bandai though it was necessary to have swapable wings is beyond me.

Yeah i saw which was what prompted my comment. Looks like arcadia is serious about only releasing hero only valks. It doesn't look good for M&Ms, elint etc.

This made me laugh. Well done. Yeah even if they do release the packs separately i'm concerned about the different white. I think it'll annoy me if i use the packs on an yamato vf-1.

With Arcadia using white instead of the off white for dyrl valks, is there any difference between the tv and movie versions now? Other than the pilots and the strike pack which is shown in the picture. Makes me think it's another dyrl release. I would prefer the TV release cuz I never got the non fast pack release which had the TV Roy pilot. I would buy that one.

I'd be happy to see a vf-1 released that wasn't a roy or hikaru 1s scheme. Not because i don't like them rather because they've been done to death.

What! Seriously the Roy 1S again? They sure are screwing the people who bought the single release if they don't offer strike parts separately. I guess we're probably never going to see max and mirya reissues, ironically the last two i want to finish my collection.

Interesting. Makes me wonder what the most advanced fighter earth is using. All the numbers from 24-31 seem to be taken. -

So is the yf-24 suppose to come the new main general use fighter with the colonies/emigration fleets putting the screws to those plans by improving the design with the 25,27,29.etc? -
Yeah that price is pretty good. Makes me want to buy another. Then I remember this toy sucks.

After watching the trailer I was surprised to see such negativity in this thread. I admit when I first heard about Disney doing this film I wasn't too enthusiastic about it. After learning more about it and finally seeing the trailer, I'm totally sold on this movie. I actually think I'm more excited about this movie than episode 8. -
What would be sad/funny is if sales are so low on the Nexx and fairy squad that they end up cancelling the standalone sap pack.

Yeah i agree. It's pretty bad when you have to search the internet after the movie to understand the political climate of the galaxy.

Got an new unopened one from Mandarake. Opened it up and the legs were not locked in fighter mode. Played with trying to lock it up until i decided it was virtually impossible. Started transforming it to gerwalk and right away 2 screw covers from the upper thighs fell out. Gerwalk mode wasn't that great either. Continued one to battroid which as others have said is this toys most decent mode. For some reason one leg seems shorter than the other. Both legs seem to extended to the same distance. I can only make him stand by spreading the legs to an a stance. Even though those swing bars are metal, they are attached to long plastic pieces. With the amount of movement and stress those swing bars exert on those pieces, i wouldn't be surprised if they break down the road. Not being able to hold the gun decently is annoying too.

What exactly is passive and active stealth design and how does it relate to how a fighter looks?

I would prefer that the original series got re-animated but not have the story or any scenes changed other than the obvious mistakes. No character redesigns etc. Never happen but thats what i'd like.
