I think people were abandoning their preorders when bandai started releasing more stock on release day. Starting with the vf-171 CF, there started to be stock available on day of release. I remember this well cause i had 3 171s at ny for $200US a pop. On release day it was easy to get them at normal msp which i think was $140US. I actually honoured my preorders but i was sour about it. That was an $180 loss for me. And that continued to happen on each new release until finally they stopped doing that altogether starting with the VF-19Advance release. I missed that preorder but wasn't worried. Figured n-y would open up another batch before release. They never did which got me in a panic but i was able to snag one around release. I bet you anything that they were getting mass non-payments on their preorders and they said frakk it. Edit - I see Duymon beat to this response in a more concise way.

Yeah usually the N-Y preorders have been easier to get the hlj and amiami. Strange coincidence that on preorder that amiami and hlj had a longer window that normal, it's reverse for n-y. I just don't understand why bandai doesn't just increase the numbers. Their Gundam 00 preorder didn't sell out which is apparently their bread and butter. If i was running a company, i'd be trying to get more inventory out on something that sells out within a minute.

How do you know the preorder shows up? Do you have to be looking at the screen the whole time?

You know what pisses me off is i wasted close to 2 hours on this. N-Y should just let us know they have only 5 to sell so i wouldn't bother wasting my time.

It doesn't help they have like 5-8 pages to load to complete the order. N-Y is shady. I wouldn't be surprised they held back an amount to sell later at a higher price.

They must of had next to nothing for numbers. It isn't even showing up in the best sellers category which the spartan and mazinger are.

Actually that happened to me with the J. It still shows up on my order history as order cancelled.

Wow the spartan was 47 US. That was the cheapest price i believe.

I was going by the email cdjapan sent the night of preorders. It seemed like they were doing reverse order. What's your source?

Well said. On preorder night some d-bag here tried to pull that crap on me. I dunno where this guy gets offs talking to me like that. There's so many times I've left a preorder night with nothing so any time I can get another I will take it and not feel bad about it. if people think it's bad now, thy should have seen it before shops put in the one per customer limit. Some people were ordering 6 at a time.

I was comparing my 31J with my VF-25s. The 31 is way taller. But it got me thinking about the feet. I've never been clear on weather the feet should be extended out all the way in battroid mode for both the 25 and 31. I've seen it done both ways but which is the official way?

Is that really how it goes? Another poster last night said they hold the charge until they are ready to ship and then release the hold and charge your card. Your way sounds more realistic. Otherwise they might as well just charge up front if they are going to keep the hold until the product is released.

Yeah the spartan was a painless preorder unlike the crazy the vf-31F was.
