I have to agree with this as much as i love the 1/48. I can't tell you how many times those stupid booms from the fast pasks have fallen launching all those mini-missles accross the room. Spent way too much time of my life looking for those tiny missiles. Graham specifically says favorite TOY. The toy part to me specially refers to the toy aspects (design, engineered and playablity). All those aspects should be considered when deciding your favorite. Even though your favorite valk is definitely subjective person to person, i can't see how anyone can claim the vf-2ss is a favorite TOY. I myself love the lineart design but not the toy design, engineering and pretty much anything else about it.

Whaa! WTF! This is totally out of left field. I love it though. It never even crossed my mind to do a vf-1 with a messer scheme. It works perfectly IMO. The reaper on the cockpit is perfect. I've always wanted more vf-1s that had sqad symbols or markings on the cockpit window. Not sure why Kawamori hasn't done more schemes like this for the shows. They would all be fan favorites. Missed out on that monster sale. Out of stock now. I have one already but i would've got another at that price.

Yeah that's been my experience as well. FedEx shipping always get hit with custom. What worse is every FedEx order will require me to pay for customs over the phone when it is in another city instead of asking for it at the door or local po like every frickin other shipping service. One time they had the wrong number so I don't get notified that I had to pay customs. That debacle tacked on and extra 2 weeks for delivery so it wasn't worth paying the premium for "fast" shipping. I will never use them again. Ems gets past customs usually about 65-80% of the time for me. This goes up and down sometimes. Seems to go in phases. Probably a staffing issue.

I think Arad's valk will look better as a toy than it did in the show.

Damn wish Arcadia would reissue the SDF- 1.

Hey David is back. Welcome back. Now get to the vf31 thread and update the list ;p Surprised by the hate for the yf29. I actually think it's one of the funner dxs, shoulder armour popping off nonwithstanding. Favs 1. Vf1 v2 Yamato/Arcadia - pretty much the perfect valk toy now that the bugs have been worked out. Brillent design, simple and accurate. 2. Vf31 dx bandai - Amazing engineering without being over engineered. The hands however are a step backwards and prevent it from the number one spot. Paint chipping is also a minus. 3.Vf19 Yamato - the most solid valk ever. Solid in all three modes. This toy actually feels as sturdy as a toy should. Not fragile like a model. Honarable mentions Vf-19 advance, yf-29, 1/48 Vf1 Least favs 1. 1/72 vf11 Yamato - leg broke off 10 mins after first opening it. Arghhhhhhhh! 2. Vf-2ss ET - a disgrace to modern toys. Feels like it should've been released in the same era as the 1/72 yamatos. 3. Vf25 dx version 1 especially with super and armour parts. - subpar design and seriously can those super parts be any more annoying to get to stay on. WTF Bandai. Special runner up Yamato vf11 1/60 - I orginally liked this toy but now hate it. It's gotten so floppy loose but the worse thing is that stupid heatshield. I've never got that thing closed correctly. I've watched dozen of videos and posts on how to do it but it's s never worked. Seriously at the point where I don't think it's me. I must of got a bad one but I'm not risking buying another to find out. All the monkeying around with it cause the tab behind the cockpit to partially break. The neck is staying up by a tiny piece of what's left of the tab. When that finally breaks fighter mode will not be able to hold together. Arcadia please redo this mold.

Do you coat just the sticker or the whole valk with the clear flat?

I'm curious on how well they stick? Do people use mark set over top of them?

Why are they ending this with season 4? Were ratings bad?

Damn i forgot about this bug. I was wondering why i seemed to be paying more on my last couple of orders.

I was shocked as well even though i knew the delorean was in there too. Wasn't expecting the delorean box being that big. It's funny because i nabbed both at super sale prices and was feeling pretty good about it till i got quoted shipping. The Monster was like 65-67 US originally. I downgraded the shipping but it only saved me $5. So i thought i'd through the delorean on there and save shipping that way. I get quoted $120. I was really annoyed and thought amiami was trying to scam some extra dollars from me. Now that i got the package i understand the price more. Still didn't like paying it. It's times like this i wish amiami would have a pw option like hlj so i could experiment with the cheapest way to ship this order.

Best post in this thread. I agree wholeheartedly. I would also add another point. You have to consider the cost of these toys are increasing faster than wages. I myself am feeling the crunch now and know that it's only a matter of time before i'm not going to be able to get everything i want anymore. And i do pretty well for myself wage wise. Actually i already felt this with the new garland release. Way too much for me to consider getting. Maybe if i cut back on the other stuff i get. I worry about the future of this hobby. The way prices are going we only have a few years before stuff starts costing north of $500. Company strategies will have to change when we get to this point. You won't being seeing every valk variant at those price points. Companies will only sell the proven sellers. Which will leave us as consumers with less variety.

Just got my Shipment from amiami with the on sale Monster. Wow i knew the monster was big but not this big..... LOL! There is actually a back to the future floating delorean in there as well which i got at a deal as well. Unfortunately shipping this cost me $120 US. This is what was inside. Wasn't expecting the delorean to be in a bigger box than the monster.

Bought an 171 armoured parts set so i could scavenge the weapons for other valks. Best use of this set as i won't risk putting them on a the fragile 171.
