I'm late to the game for the metal composite series. Finally got my rx-79-02 gundam the orgin metal composite reissue a few months back. It's been sitting in my private warehouse since feb but got it this weekend. I have to say i'm impressed, exceeded all my expectations. I didn't know anything about the metal composite series at all and this purchase was totally an impulse buy. I was so enthralled by this figure, i just looked at it and handled it for 2 hours. Didn't even put any accessories on it yet except for the backpack. I'm so impressed i want to get more. Doing some googling it seems like the selection isn't great and they hard to come by now. Is this line dead? Couldn't find any info on any future releases. And why is the selection so limited for what is out? Don't really care about the unicorn mecha. And why the zeta variants but not the actually zeta from the show. Many Psycho gundams but no Gundam mk2 with g-defensor? Then there is these metal build figures. From what i've been able to gather online Metal builds and composites are the same thing just composite is UC only? Can anyone clarify this to me? Also am i going going to have to go through preoorder madness like bandai dxs to get these things? -
Finally got a chance to play with the 262 a bit this weekend. I tried putting on the box weapon set from the armored 171 set. Can't seem to clip it on to the left side. The right side is fine. Switched them and still the same issue. Looks like the left side weapon clips wasn't built to correct spec/size? Anyone else have this issue?

When i first started this hobby, there was no preorder madness. I virtually never bought anything on release day. I always bought when i was ready to buy. I usually just looked for deals and worked the new stuff around the deals. Now however i'm getting everything as a preorder to avoid paying higher later or missing out entirely which leads me to missing out of deals. I miss the old days.

I want to get 2 more as well but tapped hard this month. Have wife's birthday, mothers day for both wife and mother and also a fan con event this weekend. Not to mention the shitload of collectibles i've bought the last couple of months and will be buying in may.

But unfortunately only vf-1s until 2018. Doesn't seem likely they'll put out anything else in 2017.

Yeah saw this by accident last night during the hi-metal 1S preorder. I didn't know anything about it. Once i determined it wasn't a model i preordered it.

The accessories are super tempting for me as well. The price on the MDE bombs and missiles is what's holding me back. It seems really expensive for 4 missiles even for an non-KO release. The fact they are KO makes the price seem even more absurd. I'll probably still get a set though when things slow down here release wise. I recently bought a 171 armour set just to get these missiles. I have to say i'm quite pleasantly surprised how much fun these missiles have added to my displays.

I'm surprised by how many don't like this scheme. To me it's the best one right after fokker's 1S. It feels like the spiritual successor to fokker's IS. I always felt that every vf-1 (except maybe CFs) should have squadron markings on their heat shields.

Yeah i don't think many people knew about it. Kind of a fail on Bandai's part. They should've promoted it sooner. If i'd missed this thread today i wouldn't have know about it.

I got the 1st volume vhs when software sculptures released it back in the 90s. It didn't really grab me. It'd probably be more amusing to watch now.

I decided to get another from amiami. The page was loading forever so i reloaded. Apparently that made the quantity jump to 2. Didn't notice until i completed the order. Now i have 3 from amiami and 1 from hlj. Hmmm.
