Yeah saw this by accident last night during the hi-metal 1S preorder. I didn't know anything about it. Once i determined it wasn't a model i preordered it.

The accessories are super tempting for me as well. The price on the MDE bombs and missiles is what's holding me back. It seems really expensive for 4 missiles even for an non-KO release. The fact they are KO makes the price seem even more absurd. I'll probably still get a set though when things slow down here release wise. I recently bought a 171 armour set just to get these missiles. I have to say i'm quite pleasantly surprised how much fun these missiles have added to my displays.

I'm surprised by how many don't like this scheme. To me it's the best one right after fokker's 1S. It feels like the spiritual successor to fokker's IS. I always felt that every vf-1 (except maybe CFs) should have squadron markings on their heat shields.

Yeah i don't think many people knew about it. Kind of a fail on Bandai's part. They should've promoted it sooner. If i'd missed this thread today i wouldn't have know about it.

I got the 1st volume vhs when software sculptures released it back in the 90s. It didn't really grab me. It'd probably be more amusing to watch now.

I decided to get another from amiami. The page was loading forever so i reloaded. Apparently that made the quantity jump to 2. Didn't notice until i completed the order. Now i have 3 from amiami and 1 from hlj. Hmmm.

I have to agree with this as much as i love the 1/48. I can't tell you how many times those stupid booms from the fast pasks have fallen launching all those mini-missles accross the room. Spent way too much time of my life looking for those tiny missiles. Graham specifically says favorite TOY. The toy part to me specially refers to the toy aspects (design, engineered and playablity). All those aspects should be considered when deciding your favorite. Even though your favorite valk is definitely subjective person to person, i can't see how anyone can claim the vf-2ss is a favorite TOY. I myself love the lineart design but not the toy design, engineering and pretty much anything else about it.

Whaa! WTF! This is totally out of left field. I love it though. It never even crossed my mind to do a vf-1 with a messer scheme. It works perfectly IMO. The reaper on the cockpit is perfect. I've always wanted more vf-1s that had sqad symbols or markings on the cockpit window. Not sure why Kawamori hasn't done more schemes like this for the shows. They would all be fan favorites. Missed out on that monster sale. Out of stock now. I have one already but i would've got another at that price.
