Ended up Ordering the Moshow 00Quant. Disappointed I missed out on the Freedom MB KO before it went up in price. Also disappointed in missing out the blue Seven sword. Looks like you can't get it anymore at Taobao.

Did Something happen with the third party MB stuff on Taobao? My KO VF-1S PF Hikaru got canceled again for the 5th time so I decided to get a KO Metal Build instead. The selection has dwindled on Taobao. Can't find a blue metal club Seven sword anymore. The Freedom has gone up in price. The macross stuff has seemed to dwindled too. Looks like it's become vaporware.

So this preorder will be Thursday night for North Americans? Is it at 11pm or midnight for us in PST. DST always messes me up.

Why can’t they give us a decent anniversary valk? I’d prefer a canon scheme that wasn’t popular enough for a regular release.

I can back this up. Large part of my collection came from mandarake and I’ve never had an issue. Well actually once. I bought a 1j Hikaru hi-metal that had the fighter stand adapter swapped for a claw piece. It was super cheap so I didn’t even contact them about it.

I wish there was a way to contact Bandai and voice my opinion on how they do business. I know they don't care about international buyers ut i'd still like to send them that message.

I feel the same way. Bandai seems to not want my business. Between not getting the 31JKai and the 31A, it's kind of ruined my collection of Delta valks that makes me wonder, what's the point? Since i can't complete the collection why bother with the rest. This is the first time in macross collecting I won't be able to complete a line. Which is weird considering most of the 31s except the two exceptions have been way easier to get than the Frontier valks . The 31A should've been a normal release with a higher production run like the 25A. Everyone knew this was the one everyone wanted to get. The tomytec 31A was the first to sell out entirely too before the main character valks. I'm tired of subsidizing Bandai with the lower selling valks while they screw us with the ones we really want.

Never understood the difference with this. Might as well et charged right away. The only way i'd want to wait is if my card was maxed but then the authorization won't go through anyway.

I'm intrigued by this new series. I liked the original show but not a fan that's going to care about what they change. I'll watch it and hope it is good. -
I never believed vf-1 pricing is why Yamato went out of business. To me a major factor was Bandai. When Bandai started offering a comparable product (renewals) and made them hard to get (preorder madness) it changed the game. People started getting Bandai DXs on preorder night and waited on Yamato releases (sometimes till they were marked down) because they were always available after release.

Are you speaking about all Yamato vf-1 valks or just the max and Mireya? I have almost all of them and never noticed this issue. However I don't have the max and mirya. I also don't use the missles that often either.

I think they are but it depends on the person. I'm a huge fan and I bought both these and the Cosmic Fleet of both ships. That is probably excessive since both lines are comparable in price and cater to same idea, a nice desktop display piece. The KT are bigger and have light up features (the windows, engines and wmg) that give it a nice look. I usually don't care about light up stuff but it's actually implemented pretty decent here and enhances the look of the ships IMO. Im not sure how playable these are. I don't usually play with ships myself. I usually just use them as a display piece. The turrets are articulated though so you can position those.

I have them. They are similar to the cosmic fleet releases but not the same. There is a size difference . These also light up if you care about that. Here is quick and dirty rough pics.

I don't have any real insight into this situation but I would guess they want Palladium to answer for what they did in some way. Not necessarily monetary but something on record at least.

A little too rich for my blood. No offense to you as you are justified selling at market price. I'm just annoyed that I can't easily secure one at retail price and don't feel like I should have to pay the crazy mark up because I couldn't win a lottery. It's really souring me on the hobby right now. Imagine if they did that for frontier with the yf-29. That would have sucked. A year ago I probably would have just paid the mark up (i paid $300 for the focker yf-29 back when it first came out - way overpriced for even now) but since then my disposable income has been greatly swallowed up by my kid's needs. Also, the USD to CAD exchange is so bad that it's not worth ordering from US sellers. So I can't justify doing this anymore. If I can't even complete delta squad I will probably use this as an excuse to quit collecting. After at least 8 years of these crazy per-order nights and now this lottery scheme, I'm tired. I hate having to plan my life around pre-order nights. I'm so busy I can't even remember what day a preorder night is or even that there was a preorder. The situation with the Kai really bums me out. I know it's just a toy but it has negatively affected me in regards to how I feel about this hobby. Last night I realized I probably won't ever own a kai unless I pay close to ($450-500 CAD) with it only getting worse the longer I wait. I find that I'm coming to the forum less and less these days because subconsciously I don't want to be reminded about missing out on the kai. Anyway sorry about the rant. Just need to vent I guess. Feels kind of good to get it off my chest.

Yeah i’m Super bummed about the kai. I haven’t missed a Bandai release since the renewal vf-25f. If I don’t get one and can’t complete my collection I think it will give me impetus to bow out of this hobby. I’m tired of how hard they make it to obtain this’ll stuff.
