  1. Yeah this is one of the many reasons why i lost interest in x-men in general (comics included). The insistence that Wolverine be in the spotlight 100% of the time. Personally i think he works best as a supporting character. That cartoon from a few years back even put Cyclops under Wolverine's leadership.
  2. I had that gobot as a kid. Is he really that small as the picture is suggesting or is the girl supersized?
  3. Yeah i agree. The gunpod looks amazing. Sad that mine broke. I seriously would rather all the other 25s have this gunpod regardless if it's anime accurate.
  4. Yeah that's possible but i can't see how else they'd fit in. I was watching Jenius' transformation guide but its fighter to battroid so it's hard to watch it in reverse and it doesn't show a clear view of how the arms are suppose to sit. I'll have to bust out the box from storage and see if the instruction manual has a clear view of that step.
  5. Last night decided to change the yf-29 back from battroid to fighter. Was a lot more tricky than i thought it would be. I couldn't get the shoulder armour pieces to stay on when positioning back in fighter mode. They would pop off every time. So I figured I'd just put them on after the arms are in position. Couldn't clip them in while the arms were in that position either. Ended up leaving them off. Any one else have this issue?
  6. I like the look of super parts, i just generally hate how they attach to the valk especially the hip parts.
  7. What? No Crotch thrust???
  8. Besides, the VF-9 is ugly.
  9. Well got my CF 25A. All good except my gunpod broke when trying to split the barrel apart. A little piece on the hinge broke similar to what someone else posted a few pages back. GRRRRR.
  10. These are my guesses so far for the molds Arcadia got from Yamato 1-VF-1 2-VF-19 3-VF-17 4-VF-4 5-Yf-21/Vf-22 6-VF-11 7- I'm stumped on the last one. I doubt it's the VF-0 as the rumors of a new mold being created for that valk. I'd also be surprised if it's the sv-51. Sucks about the VF-2SS. Honestly thought we were close to getting it after the Vf-4 came out.
  11. I'm really underwhelmed by the series so far. It feels like a a typical genre show from the 90s. While it would've been great if it aired in the 90s, recent shows (breaking bad, SoA, Walking Dead, Game of thrones etc) have really stepped up the game. I never thought i'd be this not interested in a Joss Whedon show. Something also off for me about the Coulson character. I'm not sure what it is but he doesn't seem like the same character to me (maybe he isn't?). I found Coulson enjoyable to watch in the movies but not so much in the show.
  12. The car is a call back to the flying car Nick Fury used in the comics. I don't think it's cheesy in a world that has a god, a big green monster and a soldier dressed in a flag.
  13. Sadly i also see myself being priced out of this hobby. I want to keep collecting but it getting harder and harder. At the rate we'll be seeing valks at $400 in the next year or so. I'm cringing on what the rumored v2 vf-0s are going to be priced at. Jeez i remember when valks broke the $200 barrier and thinking that was crazy. I've only been collecting for 5 years. Hate to see what prices are going to be in another 5 years. I wish my wages would increase this fast.
  14. Ah i see. Thanks for the clarification.
  15. A question about the super packs. I know people have said that the super packs are heavy enough to make the wings droop down but does it do permanent damage? I mean when you take off the super packs will the wings still droop down or be bent down or do they spring back to their original position? I already have the super packs and am dying to put these on but worried about this potential issue.
  16. Same happened to me. I glued it back on and it seems to be holding.
  17. What's sad is that it had to happen to the cannon fodder release the one many of us wanted badly. Now i'm stuck with three that i can't transform in case they break. My alto just broke in a weird place. One of the nibs that holds the wing in place along with the pin (it sits a few mm above the pin). It just snapped off somehow. Wouldn't have even noticed if i didn't hear it drop on the floor. Thought it was one the wing pins at first since that happens all the time. Couldn't even tell what was missing until i put the wing back on and then i noticed the little nub snapped off. Took forever trying to find it on my floor. Superglued it back on and it seems to be holding. It'll probably break off again when i transform it.
  18. Thats good to know. I hate fiddly small toys that fall apart whenever you touch them. i nearly threw a cm's mospeada against the way cause it was so frustrating. I actually have 2 RDs thought they are the two Macross VF-25s. They're pretty cool aside from the part management. I found the Yamato's GN-U line pretty decent too only if i could get them under $10. I would never pay their suggest retail price.
  19. Hi. I hope it's ok to start a separate topic but i didn't think it belonged in the Gunplay topic. I was thinking of starting to get into Gundam Fix Figuration toys. On a recent trip to Vancouver i saw a lot of them around and the looked cool though they seemed expensive for their size. I was hoping to start cheap and see how they are like before i jump in with the more expensive ones. The ones i'm currently eyeing are Gundam Alex and Freedom Gundam. From what i've been able to determine there are some bad ones to watch out for. i know a few people here collect them so maybe they can chime in. Is there a site that reviews them like Jenius' anymoon site does for macross toys? I'd like to be able to look up a certain fix figure and see if there are any issues to look for or certain figures to avoid. Any websites/resources out there to help me out?
  20. Finally got mine today. I have to say i was a little disappointed in the way the factory packed the figure in the package. Although there was no damage it was all mis-transormed and not locked into place in fighter mode. When i get a new valk a like tio leave it in fighter mode and whoosh it around a bit before i attempted transforming it. Its also nice to have a good look at how it should look in the correct transformed mode. Also one of the super pack's rear noozle is extremly loose and won't stay in position. Anyone know a good way to stiffen it up?
  21. Nope. Weird they wouldn't just throw them in a bigger box.
  22. Got my two yesterday. For some reason Nippon-yassen split my order and shipped each of them in a separate boxes.
  23. Well at least we know there will be a new Macross project.
  24. The alto is solid. I was transforming it from battroid back to fighter and i forgot to push the triangle back out before pushing the leg back in. I couldnt get the leg back in place and i kept triying to force it in. Scratched some paint off the back of leg where the intake sits on the otherside. But that traiangle piece never broke and i was exerting a lot of force against it.
  25. Looks hawt!
