I can tell without even having a CMs version that buying their Fuke would not help my despair . . . (it might make it worse)
-
Agreed its the CAD drawings - not a mold. Whatever it is I hope Toynami takes it over . . .
-
My only hope is that Toynami considers the sales potential and buys the mold. They should then turn them over to someone who can actually build them with quality. With huge Fuke sales they can move onto the Yellow version . . .

The Mk II does have that 'artillery' feel. It seems like the military might have actually built one, like the giant rail-guns of the past. It just feels right with the rest of the original destroids, more realistic and logical. Not sure I'm describing myself well here because I know all these mechs are pure fantasy. By contrast the konig shuttle mode makes me laugh quite frankly, thinking of Go-bots and cheap robot toys. I see the battroid as a very bad design, and pointless from a military stand-point when you have heavy valks flying around. I give a 1/60 TV Monster about half of 1% chance of ever seeing the light of day, especially in this economy. But if they did do it I would find a way to buy it, and a place to display it . . .
-
In fact - if they do release a 1J in the 1S light gray instead of white, I will be snatching that up and selling my TV version (or weathering the heck out of it) . . .
-
Whether its TV or DYRL it will be nice to cover the blinding white of my TV 1J . . .
-
TERRIBLE n e w s . . . just awful. YES they should have released her second!! Would have sold more than Stick I bet. Isn't it possible Toynami could take the mold to Aoshima or someone else to continue the project? I'm surprised I feel this awful . . .
-
I'm hoping for the Phalanx - or the TV version Monster (doubt that though). Not sure what the appeal is for that newer Konig version. I hate the design. The battroid mode looks downright go-botish, and making it modular ruins the cool destroid mode of the original. I've seen clips of it in MF, still think its dumb IMO What would be the point of having something like that change into a battroid mode? Is there a anime clip out there that shows it doing wayyy cool stuff in that mode? ------ Just frustrated I guess. This newer version just hurts my chance of ever seeing the beloved original in awesome toy form in my lifetime . . .

I actually liked it at first glance actually. Not sure I'd spend my money on them, but they might be fun to get for the kids. Have you guys seen these Mighty-Muggs concepts? Don't think they've ever been made though . . .
-
If we have the M&M valk proto shots out already why aren't there any of the Phalanx? (cuz they're making it so darn cool they need the extra time DG! - there, I answered my own question . . .)
-
Couldn't they purchase the rights to produce them on a large scale? Companies do that sort of thing all the time, especially if the demand is there from their current customers . . .
-
Dang it - I hate sounding like a broken record, but Yamato needs to release these, the side covers and some ground crew in an accessory pack! Who among the current buyers of their Macross line could refuse? Seems like a sure-fire success to me . . .
-
I thought my 1D color was hard to get used to! I just got my Max 1A - THAT is a SUPER white! The original color for the 1S was the best. Lament they did not carry that through to the rest of the TV releases. I may have to weather these after all. Which brings me to the CF 1J. If I decide to weather I may go ahead and get the it and tone it wayyy down on the lightness and brightness factor. . .

I would also pick up the CMs legioss/tread if I could find one super cheap ($70/$80?). Someone post here if they see them come down that far. Doubt they will though. --------- My hope is that Toynami will announce the Invid Commander in 1/55th to go with the Alphas, that would be juicy (a vinyl scout in 1/10 would be stunning of course, but about 14" wide, very unlikely). My worry is that it would be easier and cheaper to do a Regult for their 1/100 line. That has been done very well by Revoltech already. My fear is it won't be an enemy at all, just some hero mech with a new twist . . .
-
Desert pattern on CF 1A would be HOT! - & - Arctic pattern for the blinding white 1J - that would be very COOL . . .
-
It was relevant to this topic and finally something that made me want to post. There were pages and pages of this thread with nothing being said at all. Using their license for an enemy mech in a scale with heros already released is 'juicy' indeed . . . (I can wait a week)

Ha! Yes, But I'm a normal person. So let me clarify: Does it have something to do with Macross valks, Mospeada Legioss or Ride-armors? That news I think would be interesting. If its A full ground crew in 1/60-1/55 with support vehicles, Regults, a Glaug, Hovertanks, Bioroids, Lunk's Jeep, figurines we've never seen or Inbits hords - that would be pretty JUICY - ! - PS - I'm a big fan of Anymoon.com so no matter what you announce I'll support you man . . .
-
I care what HG or Toynami is doing, or ANY company that might break from the collectables we've been seeing and do some great enemy figures to match some of the popular scales out there. "Juicy" Robotech info? Jenius, I personally classify 'Juicy' as something we would not expect. If its predictable please re-classify as 'Interesting' Robotech info and let me down easy . . .

Hmmm - PayPal debit card? Interesting. I generally don't keep much of a balance but if I started selling more (and collecting a balance) that sounds like a good idea. I ended up using may PayPal balance on Overdrive - for the TV version Max and Kakazaki 1A 1/60s . . .

Didn't the synchro cannons on the Beta totally back-fire in SC? -- as they went to go shoot them off the enemy (who supposedly designed them or something) used them to blow up the fighters carrying them? Anyhow - a giant stupid pink beta for a stupid shallow character is hardly what I'm anxious for. I'm trying my best to pretend the SC doesn't exist. Does HG think a pink beta would sell better than a non-transformable Inbit Commander ship ( that you could release in 3 color variations with NO design re-work ) ??? s i g h Its this type of thinking that makes it hard to believe in a bright future for some of the designs and characters we hold dear . . . ---- Oooooo - hey - maybe Aoshima will have great sales success with their betas and decide to tool up some enemy mechs in scale for THEIR fans -?- THEN - and only then - might HG take a chance and re-package something someone else has done and cash in . . .

SO I'm trying to use up my remaining PayPal balance on toy collecting before I make a slew of practical purchases for my home . . . I need the dreaded Green and Shadow Alpha MPCs. I see that RB.com STILL has them at $59.99 ea, and with a very low shipping cost I can get them for about $130.00. But they don't take PayPal, only Visa or MasterCard. After canvasing eBay for months and watching them go individually for more than $60 apiece( ! ), I finally see them posted together, I follow the auction closely of course. To use up my balance I'm EVEN willing to stupidly go over $130. I make a max bid of $160 'knowing' that it can't possibly go up that far. GOT OUTBID ---- I would be better off buying 4 sets on RB.com and selling them on evilbay to the unknowing to bankroll the set I keep . . .
-
Not sure what you mean by leg armor, I only see the front of the cycles which make the chest armor. Essentially these cyclone book style packages will not form one big picture like the Macross MPCs when placed all together. If they were going to, we would not see Rand/Reys right arm going for his pistol, we would see Stick's left shoulder and cycle as shown in the collectable card. Which is a shame, a mistake -- or both.

Oh I think the economy can get much worse. More and more gov spending coming, higher and higher taxes too I'm sure. I'lll wait a little while longer . . .
-
YES they should be pre-painted! YAMATO - Please release these as a sep pack; with fuel truck, troop/pilot transport jeep and a ground crew . . . (the baby pod is optional, the poor tike would probably not survive re-entry) ---- If fact - PLEASE note Mave's factory bay and come out with that too. I will sell a kidney if I must.
-
Yeah - the color match looks better on the M&M FPs. ------- Anyhow - I was just about to place my Overdrive order for the TV 1A Kak and Max, had my shopping cart all set to go. But then I thought if I wait just a BIT longer they might go from $90 to $74. What's do you guys think?
