You can see in this pic the GBP shoulder missile effect looks like it was made for the Beta. The smoke goes exactly around the chest cylinders on the Beta. BUT do check with Zoffy for some custom effects - I've posted some of his work around MW threads just recently...

The firing effect is from the V2 GBP - I think there is one for sale on MW right now. They're fun and fit a lot of mechs besides the GBP...

The Megazone 23 Garland By Yamato Thread

I can confirm that the Garland metallic edition paint does not go up into the joint area. So they must have fixed it for this release. Its a real beauty. The white especially looks MUCH better in the metallic. These photos don't really capture it though. All joints are pretty loose from the waist down. This sure seems like a display piece only, not something that will bring any joy when handling. Got it at a discount because the pack was missing the CD - so if anyone has that I need it!- 1056 replies

The ride armors change modes? : ) I try to avoid that. Keeping them in bike mode is less stressful and I get to display EXO's saddle bags...

I'm not sure how many Yamato Ingrams were made. Unit 1 did get a re-issue so there are more of those floating around. Unit 2 seems very hard to come by. Here are some pics of my Patlabor stuff on display...

Here is a quick review on: Pulaski Onyx Curio Cabinets - Style 212184 http://www.pulaskionlinestore.com/Pulaski-Onyx-Curio-Cabinet-212184.html In short - I do not recommend them. They are side-load only, and still let in a fair amount of dust. The gap in the doors that lets in the dust is unacceptable at this price point. And the side loading feature is enough to drive anyone to drink, except maybe the inventor of Jenga. Its a challenge when you're in a good mood. A downright pain after a few minutes - and eventually you want to simply kick in the glass out of frustration. You find yourself trying to reach through the front glass to adjust some little pose or gun and you can't!. You must hold you breath and try to reach beyond all the other items that you do not want to mess up, and try to adjust very carefully. Sometimes taking 20 attempts to get it right. ARG! Just when you get that right, you bump something out of place trying to get your arm back out. In the Pulasky promo pic they show 2 units push together, which looks best. Which I prefer, but cannot do because if you want access to the middle areas you have to leave enough space to open the inner doors. If you attempt to slide them together 'once you have everything set' - you'll find that something has become UN-SET during the sliding back together process. So if you have anything that can move out of position - which most high end toys these days do - you leave the cases apart. The mirrored back walls do not look nearly as confusing in person. Looks quite classy actually, and allows you to see the back details. But if I could wish for only one way I think I would pick black back walls. The photos make the reflective images seem like you cannot see the pieces from the reflections - this is not so in person. Its classy yes, and has that oooo, ahhhh effect. But overall they are not suited to this type of hobby. Look at the Polaski pic again - if that is what you collect, these cases would be ideal...

Collecting has a dual enjoyment. 1. Enjoying the item regardless of price paid and current value. 2. Enjoying getting that item for the lowest price possible, and watching it increase in value. Like playing basketball. I enjoy it for the exercise and fun no matter the outcome. Even if I lose every game I still like it and will keep at it. Then there's also the competition aspect, when winning is better than losing...

Nice Collection. Is that the toy command car - or a completed kit? SS - I have seen no 1/24 Unit 2s come up for sale in a while. I keep watching...

Mocked it up in Photoshop. It is Dangaioh getting socked in the face by Gil Berg, - but I don't have anything of him being victorious...

That's just a support vehicle, they were commonly seen along with the command cars. The updated design does not look as bad here as it did in the promo illustration. This is pretty cool...

Can't take any credit for the background. I screen captured and photoshopped to achieve it. Maybe I will post some screencaps of that whole scene. I'll scare them up...

The photos in HERE are STUNNING! S H E E S H -- I should not be allowed in here with my little Luminix! Probably should put these in the Galient thread, but no one ever looks in there. Took my WAVE Wham Galient Tetsukyojin fig outdoors for some shots. The sun is the only way I can manage to get some decent pics. Added some effects to a few. Found a cool rock with a mini 'lake', kind of had a Hobbit feel to it...

Yep, me too. I guess we should go back to Roy or take this to the destroid thread...

The Boomer kit is quite detailed - hard to see it in my pics though. I like the display of all of them together, but I think I am going to sell it as a 5 piece set soon. If I do I will post the eBay link in the selling thread...
