  1. I picked up the WAVE Minerva OVA and Fighters sets. Really like them. Took some shots outdoors. I'll post some more pics of the fighters soon, but first the Minerva: The stand is great in that it displays the fighters and MINI ( very mini ) Galleon on top, but it also stores a tool underneath for opening hatches, and even stores the small panel you remove to make room for the stand to attach. The panel is just one example of all the details WAVE managed here - so if you are zooming it around or have it landed on it's gears - no peg hole for the stand is visible. And going into the freaking very cool details is the fact that the fighter stands can even collapse into the Minerva stand so that they can be displayed flying or landed on top! I would have never thought of that. I would have just molded 2 pegs on top and thought that was enough! There are many panels for missiles and guns and they all have a little notch for the tool to open them. I thought it was awesome that the upper panel is removable so that you can see the docking bay area. There is also a ramp that extends out of the Minerva. The top large missile and double barreled cannon can be stowed WITH the fighters and Galleon all in the bay. Ultraman Zoffy ground explosions can also be used for thruster effects! A Crusher Joe photoshop adventure...
  2. I sold that one - shoot me now...
  3. What a cool idea! Love them flying out of the box: https://www.rinkya.com/en/auction-u56367978
  4. I would take 1 or 2 painted (or unpainted) 1/60s ...
  5. Here are some Ingram Carrier line art scans I made from the B-Club Special Labor Graphix book. The scratchbuilt one you were thinking was too large and bulky compared to the Ingram is the TV and Movie version I believe. The slimmer, more basic version from the Early Days OVAs. By the way - this is a GREAT Patlabor book, best I have seen. Tons of color, great art, cut-ways, shows every Labor from every movie, OVA and show (highly recommended): http://www.ebay.com/itm/LABOR-GRAPHIX-Patlabor-Art-Book-Anime-Manga-/250960286790?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a6e661446
  6. YEP - Agree. Always found that unacceptable, as with the shin lights as well. But also quirky - that Beagle went to such a high level of detail but did not see fit to do the faux plastic lights instead of just paint. Found this pic of someone who replaced the shin paint with 'lights' - if I had the means I would do this on both the shins and chest...
  7. This Rau was done before Kurisama had his kits out - otherwise I would have grabbed them right quick...
  8. The WAVE Helldiver it extremely nice, the only figure I have 2 of. If I see one come up again for sale I will ping you. I just got the WAVE Crusher Joe Minerva and fighter sets too. Very nicely executed pieces...
  9. Thought this was cool - a 1/5 Ride Armore resin kit. Just went for over 30,000 on YahooJapan auctions. Was tempted to bid but did not...
  10. Making a custom TV version Rau is worth it, and possible now with Kurisama's upgrade kits. I should have a nice little 1/60 accessory to go with them too. Look for some more details in early Oct...
  11. The SHE ended at ONLY 71,000 - which is far better than the last auction that went for 141,000. Bet that last guy is kicking himself ( ! )
  12. Do you have any others from that line? Any other 1/48ths? The only other one I might want would be the Pickel-Kun I think...
  13. Got another SHE up for auction: https://www.rinkya.com/en/auction-w90203926 danth - "You just picked yourself a cross fight!" - classic...
  14. If I come across another Atlas I will let you know. I'm wondering what it would take / cost to have the cockpit drilled out and custom clear canopy made for it. The Hasagawa 1/48 flight crew pilots might look great inside. I splurged and got this pair of resin kits that were featured on the Patlabor 3D book cover. Also got this 2 handed Ingram firing kit and the OVA style Command Truck...
  15. Too clarify - that one pictured is a 1/60, so that would be easier to pull off than a 1/24. But I'm sure somewhere in the world someone is working on it right now...
  16. He had them already - I just asked for them...
  17. Here is a fully scratch-built Ingram carrier. A 1/24 version sounds ridiculous - but so are 1/72 Monsters and 1/48th Glaugs...
  18. Its mine - off being finished, along with a few other projects. I will not be revealing his name as I have him booked through next year (and don't really want him getting any other requests for the time being). I can do kits - and do some work - but not airbrushing, and not on this scale. I know when to call in the experts...
  19. That TV version Galient is going to be a model kit I believe - not a finished Wham release. This is the only WAVE finished figure from the series. Its from the Galient OVA Crest of Iron - the designs are quite different in the OVA, and some of the best, most unique mecha designs ever IMO. Much better than the Galient TV designs. Just keep a watch out on Yahoo Japan auctions, they will come up again. More display pics of valks - to get some Macross back in here:
  20. I agonized at that time too, and it was hard to pull the trigger and get one from HLJ. Glad I did though. Was agonizing to send it away for the actual build too. Kind of like finding a grilled cheese with the image of Mary in the grill marks - and then eating it. Good, but stressful to take that plunge. Another in-progress pic....
  21. Here's a few more pics: If you watch Yahoo Auctions he can be had used for about 25,000 to 35,000. Here is one at 20,000 with 4 hours to go: https://www.rinkya.com/en/auction-u55004706
  22. My heart (and wallet) jumped when when I saw that Bloodsucker photo - I thought it was going to be a new 1/8 model. Thankfully its not - I do not want to add anything to my want list. I just want 1 1/8 Turbo Custom, Chirico and Vanilla figures. Fyana and Cocanna would be OK but not a must. Jenius - We're not modelers - YET. But these would be fun to look forward to when we are someday. I will watch to see if more 1/8 stuff pops up on Yahoo Auctions if they are re-releasing some items...
