  1. We had professional pics taken because we're still trying to sell our house. Amazing how his lens makes the office seem gigantic (its not really). The tile fish above the piano appear quite large on the wall in person, yet here they seem drastically small for the space. The photos are all so strange it like an alternate reality. My lower left shelf was in flux that day - drat! - if I had thought about if I would have made sure that was set . . .
  2. Amazing art. Just amazing. And that valk 'white' color is the only way they should ever appear, in art, toy or model form IMO. A bright white valk in space combat is silly - whether the anime showed it that way or not. REALLY wish Yamato would have done all the TV versions in gray, would have looked so much better, and it would have have reduced yellowing over time as an added benefit...
  3. Was outbid at 67,000 - went up to --- 154,000 ( ! ) https://www.rinkya.com/en/auction-u61042007
  4. It feels like a big missed opportunity because it was . . .
  5. Dear darrin6649, I sent your order goods yesterday. However, since the size of the box was alike, different goods may have been put in. Please check a JAN code before opening goods. Please contact me, if you recognize a mistake. I exchange your goods. Correct answer Wing Caliber foe JAN code: 4543112831279 Incorrect answers DX Chogokin RVF-25 Messiah Valkyrie Luca Angers Super Parts set JAN code: 4543112831200 Thanks, HIRO - de-culture-japan ------- OF COURSE IT WAS THE SUPER PARTS . . .
  6. Post some pics when you get them! I plan to order both 1/48ths and 1/32nds asap . . .
  7. Fair statement. I am not the target market for that mech so I'm not feeling that excitement. I would MUCH rather see a 1/60 Destroid Phalanx and ground crew than a YF-19, and I fully realize would be in the minority there. But still - the Ann 1J is a head scratcher to me. FOR THEIR SAKE - they could have EASILY chosen a hotter seller to build momentum in their new Macross adventure. SELFISHLY - I wish it had been something I could have been stoked about and added to my collection . . .
  8. What a shame. A somewhat baffling shame to me. It could be 75% off and I would not be interested, and a lot of other folks. This is what a group of grown men, Macross fans and toy enthusiasts, decided to make their first entry out of the gate? IMO - It could have gone something more like: "Guys - let's kill it right off the bat. Let's do the Max 1J super and include the super parts and new stand, but also include a gun pod loader and 2 ground figures. The market will go bananas and everyone will be relieved we have this line now instead of Yamato..." If you have this Ann 1J and like it I'm glad and mean no disrespect. But I'm still stunned this was the best thinking for the first release. I want to support them and will, and my finger is poised at the pre-order button. But they have to do something that makes me sit up in a my chair a bit and take notice . . .
  9. Gosu -- and then a Gammo / Scout combo set - Cap is booked doing Inbits IMO...
  10. Cap makes the Gammo , EXO makes the running guy - and Zoffy can make the custom glue gun blast effect!
  11. I would give that box art design a C-
  12. Here are some pics of the new Bandai Robot Spirits Tamashii Exclusive Heavy Metal G-Roon. Pretty cool release. • Sculpt is great, better than the line art even, which is consistent with this line • 'Posability' and working calf pistons are awesome • Purple Buster Launcher? What's up with that? Needs to be color coordinated • NEEDS PANEL LINING! Especially in large blue leg areas, working on it now . . .
  13. I supposedly have a can of TS-80 on the way from Hong Kong - I will let you guys know if I actually get it . . .
  14. Any comment about the Fou release though? A 'once-in-a-dunbine-fan's-lifetime' offering? They pulled out the stops with a diorama base, separate glider, and opening cockpit details? Wish Arcadia would come out with something like this for the Macross TV series . . .
  15. My boss got a head shot taken without me knowing. If I had known I would have told her to do her own hair and makeup. Instead - they had her come in with hair undone and no makeup, so they could do it 'right'. This usually fails miserably as most ladies know what is best for themselves. She always wears a lot of makeup and is a party girl, you can see a small candid floating there on the right. So I tried to match that without make her look too clowney - took about 2 hours. Not sure what camera they used but it 'fishbowled' her nose, and brought out every horrible detail . . .
  16. So much for that . . . Dear Customer, Thank you for your order. However, as stated on the website we are unable to ship paints, glues and varnish to your country. They are classed as a hazardous/flammable substance and therefore prohibited from being sent airmail. Please accept our apologies. We have cancelled your order and you have not been charged. Kind regards, Wonderland Models Customer Support
  17. I have a can of Testors - that's why I'm looking for something else. Its just not uniform, small micro streaks of semi-gloss areas can sometimes appear when I have used it. Placed the order from Scotland for 2 cans of the TS-80 . . .
  18. The Dunbine FOU coming out at the end of this month. I have it pre-ordered. My number 1 wish for ARCADIA? Something unique from the original Macross TV series that we've never seen before - like this gutsy Dunbine release from Bandai. It includes a classic diorama scene, support ships and an appeal fans just have to have. ARCADIA - How about? -- 1/60 Phalanx with Ghost ship, support vehicles set and tarmac diorama, with smoke missile launch effect? The pre-orders would be sold out - just like this one is: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=BAN15170&mode=retail
  19. Wonderland Models in Scotland seems to have it, and will ship to USA. http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/products/tamiya-ts-80-100ml-clear-flat/ I will try it and let you guys know if it goes smoothly. I had never heard of TS-80 before so this back and forth has been helpful . . .
  20. I would be spraying over acrylics - so would the lacquer be OK? Why don't you like their acrylic version? And what the heck happened to Tamiya? Lawsuit or something? Dullcoat was perfect . . .
  21. Sorry if this has been asked to death - but - I used to use Tamiya Dull Coat back in the day and loved it. Now that is gone and their flat clear seem unavailable. Is Mr. Hobby Cleat Flat really good? $15 a good price? (I do not have an airbrush to put future or other mixes through) . . .
  22. Does anyone know if there is a difference between these two kits? Besides plastic color? The Galleon does seem like a next logical Wham release from WAVE, but if they don't I'm going to pick up one of these . . .
