    Yamato stands

thanks for the heads up... was planning to get a few of these... well, not anymore.
  2. thanks for that Gamu Toys link... great pics! absolutely love that VF-11B+YF-21 pic that miriya posted...
  3. i think removing the knurling might do the trick... i removed the knurling part on all the shoulder hinge pins of my v.2 valks (except the 1D) and they are all still fine. one drawback might be that the swiveling motion of the hinge might be a little loose coz the pin isn't fastened to the plastic anymore. the smooth part of the hinge pin is a nice exact fit for the hole/s on the two pieces of plastic that make up the hinge, no chance of it slipping out on its own. it's pretty obvious that the stress that's causing the breakages is due to the fat end of the pin esp. when its forced in. but yeah, i was expecting that they would change to a smaller diameter pin and also make the hole smaller. does making that hole (where the pin is inserted) smaller require re-tooling??? if it does, i guess that's the reason for Yamato's shortcut solution...
  4. side covers look good on the new 1/60!
  5. +1 on the Photography thread (for tips, not discussion...) congrats on the new cam, man... i'd like to see that "Legend of Hikaru" shot you're planning... anyway to get back on topic, here's my Hikaru valks shot i posted in the Hikaru v.2 thread... still w/ the same old crappy cam (damn wife is flip-flopping on the cam purchase )
  6. yep, me too. i keep all the intake covers on coz i'm turned off by the fanblade's shallow and unrealistic look.
  7. sorry to hear that happen to your 1A... you can check honkhet's post above about putting some glue to fix it... it can be fixed and it seems transformation and poseabilty are not affected. personally, i would sand the fat end of the pin first, but seems it can be fixed even if you don't... good luck fixing it, pre. and BTW, in case you haven't heard yet, Yamato changed the pin for the shoulder hinge to a smaller diameter one starting with the Max 1S and 1A...
  8. some more pics from TD... there's a couple w/ the intake covers removed... one in f-mode w/ Super Pack + tailfins raised... another shows the metal shoulder joint... http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-94240-1-1.html

  11. yep. i kinda saw the guy do something w/ the legs and heard a click... just want confirmation...
  12. for those who have the 11B already, i'm curious, does it have that leg-extension feature to help w/ gerwalk poses just like the v.2 VF-1s?

lol, they made sure you'd hear the "click" for the bottom part of the heatshield... nice crisp clicks for the tailfins too! too bad, no fanservice...

nice find... cool vid... where's the subbed version? (kidding )
  15. my bad... checked the anime (haven't watched it in a long while)... wings do fold the same as 0S and 0A...
  16. yep! plus the fact that it's a 2-seater! hlj pic hase model IIRC from the anime, the wings fold at the back in b-mode kinda like the VF-25s. (not sure though) i really hope that Yamato decides to makes one soon since Graham mentioned that it's at the top of their short list of new valks that they want to make...
  17. based on the order of the valks you added to your poll (and the usual habits of people in general), i'd venture a guess that what you really want is the CF 1A. it's just that it's not available yet... if that's what you really want and can wait, then that's the one that you should get... but i still say that you should get yourself a 1D, eventually.
  18. out of the 3, i voted for the 1D... it's a 2-seater that's priced the same as the other valks. looks great in all modes. doesn't have a 1/48 counterpart (excluding customs of course). etc. etc. and with a li'l imagination, you can do this - http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&p=727131 would vote for the CF 1A second since i like it's shade of brown better than the 1J.
  19. somebody mentioned a few pages back that w/ correct transformation the little dot on the end of the nose/torso (beside the arrows) shouldn't be seen... anyway, i like how ff95 transformed his even if it is slightly mistransformed... looks taller, sleeker... and yeah, how does one distinguish a re-issue just by looking at the box? the 1st issue looks like its been sold out ages ago, but you'll never know...
  20. great! "look 'ma!... no foam!" - Graham's pic Thanks Graham and Yamato!
  21. now that's what i hated about this last part. stuff like this that just explains thing too conveniently... and there are times when you're looking for a certain power to manifest, like the involuntary healing thing, they just totally disregard that... yeah, these two are definitely irritating wusses... really hate their flip-flopping all the time... they should've stayed mommy and daddy to that little girl w/ EDIT - finding people w/ powers power (i swear, my memory is getting fckd up every year i get older )... btw, what did happen to that girl? also started getting bored w/ Claire... wish they hadn't killed Elle, i liked her petiteness better...
  22. no prob.! enjoy!

[Thanks for helping a newb on detaching the legs from the hip bar connection! ]

  24. i think he's seriously in love w/ the foam... but yeah, whatever works... @Alex BTW, has the fit of the escape pod also been rectified by leaving the foam in?
  25. wow, another one plus a 2nd 25F!?!? how i wish i could do that...
