i'd cry too...

i'm worried too... it's the only one of my v.2 valks before the Max 1S that i haven't removed the knurling of the pin on. so far it's still okay. i may be putting too much faith on that message from Yamato saying they told their factory workers to be gentle when inserting the pins... i read somewhere that OD increased the s/h they charge to get these replacement parts... anyway, the bonus arm assembly is okay, but who's actually going to use it? (except maybe, for using it for funny action poses like w/ that old VF-0S pic of yours ) ... and i also read that the arm assembly doesn't come w/ the hand...

just to set the record straight... those photos are by MW member Maverick.

good thing i went through "all that procedure" on my 1J last Jan. when the first report of a 1J w/ a cracked hinge was posted... now i won't have to worry about ordering replacement parts from Overdrive (which, BTW, is pretty difficult these days) and paying 8-10 bucks for a puny replacement part...

massive collection MM... i bet your glass supplier is a very happy man ... your display is getting bigger and bigger! hope you don't mind that i borrowed your 3 x VF-1S "Mondrian" pic... couldn't resist...

Thanks guys! yeah, i think i'm sorta getting the hang of it, coz now i don't need to take too many shots ... only had 2-3 bad shots when i was doing the chase sequence... ...if i were any good at photoshopping i'd remove the stands and put in some flying bullets and some smoke trails...

+1 on the music section thread for transcribed Macross songs/instrumentals etc (i think there is already a music thread for discussing what type of music people like)... its been a long long long time since i played an instrument or transcribed a song i liked that i heard on the radio or something. it would be interesting for me to see some tabs or chords or even some written down romanized Macross lyrics (not in subtitle format)...

so far, we've had a Trance Valk (the avatar i mentioned) and a Perfect Trance... if you'd photoshop one of your valks to replace the DJ, then that would be the Perfect Trance Valk!

This thread reminded me of another MWer's avatar w/ the dancing Max 1A... now that could also be considered a Trance* valk... * Trance - style of electronic dance music.

i haven't got mine yet, but from the pics i've seen i have to agree... esp. hate the violet/purple they used... you forgot Marina Ann Hantzis... oh, btw, i like em both, old and new... the boxart...

LOL... seriously, i had to look that up ... poor Kakizaki, another reason why his greeny valk can't join the group... i know why you liked that shot (see circled part in pic)

finally, somebody else who can see the value in doing preventive measures... although... 30secs. to 1min. was all i needed to soak the hinge in oil. also, if it does get a little loose due to sanding down too much of the knurling, you could just put a dab of super glue in the area where the knurling part used to be... since the pin was fastened to the plastic via the knurling in the first place.
